I don't expect a mere Tin Potter to understand but we are the eternal Football League clubs, Oldham and Walsall are our brothers and equals. We never equate beating them to an upset, still less a Giant Killing. When you've beaten City and United, we'll talk further about this if you like. Now run along and wipe your nose, little Tin Potter Man. :bdick::bdick::bdick:
We've beaten City, for the record.
Somehow I don't think your view will be reciprocated by the supporters of Walsall and Oldham. They just see you as a non-league club who will never play you in a league fixture again.

There's always a minnow a real club, surprised they didn't pick ours.

Unfortunately the League Cup was two-legged back then!

Not the same then is it, I mean, well done on going in ahead at half time and all but it's not like you knocked them out. Bradford "beat" the great Liverpool team in same cup but there's a reason why they donlt put it on their CV. Jus' sayin' like, like I said, I don't make the rules.:ds:

Barrow have successfully appealed the Hughes red card against Taunton

Our game against Accrington has been moved to Sunday 4th for the BBC highlights programme. Excellent news. Another £12,500 in the bank.

We're on TV against Oldham on the Monday night on BT Sport.

No surprise really given the Xmas Market. The tie obviously helps, but I mean it'd probably have had to have been played then anyway.

I think it's £72k per team for TV, so it's a £100k+ game for us now and add to the previous two rounds and it's been a good little earner for us this season.

Will do nicely and a very big added bonus to the war-chest, will be well over £100k with prize money and gate receipts so far. Presumably 3rd round draw will be live from SB like the recent Southport game too?

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Westfields/Curzon vs Bury/Wimbledon has been picked as a live game (bt I think)

Means Monday is now enormous for both non-league sides. One is amateur, other is part-time, both get 100-250 fans average. To throw 80-100k and a mass of media coverage is huge for either club...........what a set up for Mondays match!

Very very glad because either way it will reward the type of club which needs it. Both are very small community clubs, not bankrolled, with a small loyal fanbase which rarely have these moments, both have played lots of games to get this far (its curzons7th game, god knows how many for westfields). May best team win on night and earn it

And ourselves at home to Oxford are the Friday night match on BBC, so we get the pleasure of "Touchline Clem". :msi:

Very nice little earner for us, will go a long way. That's 2 lots of TV money for Oxford now, the Eastleigh chairman will be happy.

Not overly surprised with the TV choices TBH. For selfish reasons I'm glad we're playing on Saturday

Was never really likely to be anything other than a Monday game if we got ours televised. It's the Xmas market that weekend in Lincoln so an extra 200-250,000 people into the City wouldn't have been easy to resource for the police and road networks.

Do you think your team might manage to look like they actually give a fuck this time? :ds:
Are you actually serious? I am genuinely pleased to be working next Wednesday evening, rather that sit through yet another embarrassment.
