Carlisle away haha. That goal doesn't seem as gutting now.
Surely your super duper away support will pack out Cumbria for this one?

Seriously though, Carlisle away is a trip that every Southern football supporter should make at least once. It's like a badge of honour.

I was in Yeovil on Saturday. Bignot came over to the away end where he was lifted up in the air by the players and a 'Moors Champions 2015-16' scarf was thrown to him, he put it on and then following the celebrations of our comeback he came onto the supporters coaches to thanks us for our support over the years. You have a top manager on your hands.
Jed will have that cup money in his back pocket quicker than you can say 'fat, skint, lying arse-wipe'.

Well the draw should make the Curzon vs Westfields game a cracker.

Got to be an easy TV pick regardless of which combo, so your chucking two clubs together who get 200 home fans, with no money and saying 'there you go, winner gets £150,000'

Very much looking forward to next monday, the replay should be frantic

2nd round draw:

Westfields or Curzon Ashton v Bury or AFC Wimbledon
Macclesfield Town v Oxford United
Whitehawk or Stourbridge v Northampton
Sutton United v Cheltenham/Crewe
Lincoln v OIdham

Must be the favourites for TV coverage?

Surely the plucky postman, fitness instructors and binmen of Woking v the historic full time football league Accrington Stanley is THE tie of the round.

Bolton v Sheff Utd also looks decent.

Good man.

I've done it twice, we lost both with an aggregate of 7-0. Wasn't great.
Yeah we got beat 3-2 when I went. I think it's just natural for any southern side to lose up there.

Oxford at home. Not much reward for our good result on Saturday. Little chance of it being televised either.

Accrington at home. Could have been better or worse. Winnable.

Am very happy with Oldham at home, chance of some sort of TV coverage and an upset. We have scored 4 times the number of goals Oldham have and have a better average home attendance this season. (Yes Oldham must be having a bad time!)

If I don't have work (and we get through) then this'll be my first away game in years (for reference that away day was a 2nd qualifying round match against Woking and currently my only away day). Ain't no way I'm missing a chance to make round 3 if I can make it, especially as I couldn't go to Wrexham 2 years ago, and as Joe says Carlisle away is a rite of passage for southerners

Interesting to see what they do with our game in terms of what day it's played. It's Lincoln Xmas Market and we've never played at home on that weekend as long as I've been watching Lincoln, so a Monday game might be the outcome.

Winnable, though. One of those that you'll be pissed off with if you go out with a wimper, mind. Bit middle of the road when you'd ideally want one of two extremes i.e. home to the lowest ranked side or away at a Sheffield United.

Tell a lie, the Woking away was a 3rd qualifying round match, not 2nd, way back in 2009, lost 2-0, still 7 years between my first and hopefully my 2nd away day is a long time

Given what Macc did in round 1 and the status of each club I'd have thought it would be an obvious TV game.

Cheltenham or Crewe at home for us. Winnable, so another TV choice perhaps

If (and it's a big if) we beat Cambridge, I'd love for Coventry to come to Crabble. If we get beat Cov will win, if we win Morecambe will win. Would've liked another away game somewhere new but it'll do

Usually I'd agree, it will they put Oxford on again? Not so sure.

An upset? You've been in non league too long, Oldham are your equals. :bdick:

Hardly, considering that they've hardly played each other in the past 40 years or so and have only spent one season in the same division since the late 70s.
Also, when was the last time Halifax beat Walsall? The last time you would have played them would have been 92/93.

*£80k (18k prize money for winning the first round, 72k tv money for the 2nd round). Not bad still of course, but not as good as you suggest.

I agree, that game should be televised, but in the past TV companies have been reticent to name a tie which has a replay, as they often seem to have to decide before the replays are played.

For me, Westields/Curzon vs Bury/AFC Wimbledon should be nailed on, as should Whithawk/Stourbridge vs Northampton - as much as I don't really want Whitehawk to get a TV tie again. I'd guess Lincoln vs Oldham would be the last game as the others are only conference national to league 2, while Oldham are at least league 1 and make the gap bigger.

They will certainly put on Bolton vs sheff Utd. Sadly the media wont realise the fa cup isn't important to either this season (promotion is) so we shall get a tv reserve game

Hope it isnt moved to a monday, reckon we will bring a few if its played on a weekend. We took 800 to Kidderminster not long back despite being in the bottom 4. Its a new ground for a lot of our fans.

Matty Pearson is already packing more lead into his boots to kick Guieppe Sole over the home end stand.:bdick:

Well, just like when we used to trounce you home and away, Pearson won't be getting anywhere near Gez as he doesn't play for us anymore.

Who can forget scoring twice in the last two minutes with ten men to win 3-2? :fl::woo:

No, no, WAIT, it gets better! What about EMBARASSING Hobofax IN FRONT OF THE NATION in their own back yard? :fl:

What league do you play in these days?

I don't expect a mere Tin Potter to understand but we are the eternal Football League clubs, Oldham and Walsall are our brothers and equals. We never equate beating them to an upset, still less a Giant Killing. When you've beaten City and United, we'll talk further about this if you like. Now run along and wipe your nose, little Tin Potter Man. :bdick::bdick::bdick:
