Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Thought Curzon were fairy comfortable all night.

I'm with you big Dave....thought the crowd was alot bigger than that given out

It is the most long ball I have seen from Curzon, but they clearly knew some long balls to the corners to runners would hurt westfields and it did. As you say in end very comfortable, they set up for pens and the 2 first half goals killed it, will give them alot of credit at 2-0 for their effort to keep going, they nearly got back into it.

Much tougher tie vs Wimbledon, I thought a wee chance to progress with Bury, but Wimbledon may end up too brutally efficient for us

Thought Halifax were comfortably the better side last night, especially in the first half. Seen them a couple of times now, and (albeit on a small sample) they look better than all but one of the 7-8 conference sides I have seen this year (sorry but the one is FGR!!)
I assume the performance from D&R is due to missing players...1 win in 6 recently does not surprise me

Coventry at home awaits us if we can beat Cambridge. Nice juicy carrot for the players. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Newport 4-1 Alfreton

Nightmare journey back as I didnt get back home till 3.20 am and an Incredibly harsh scoreline on us. We more than matched Newport for the 90 minutes once again. Newport once more look awful and on the evidence of their two performances against us look destined for the drop.

Never any point in the 90 minutes where we under any serious pressure at all. Extra time was just bridge too far for us but I am immensely proud of the lads. They gave it everything.

Brilliant goal too as Smith raided down the left before firing it in to Priestley who headed in from 12 yards 2 days after playing for Gibraltar in Estonia. Then we perhaps we sat back and waited for extra time, when we should have gone for it as Newport where wobbling and the locals where very unhappy. But fitness told in the end.

Now we MUST repeat that level of performance in the league starting on Saturday. Huge game at home to Altrincham and we need the three points. The cold facts are FA cup aside we have only won 2 of the last 11 in the league.

Good to see Notts dealt with Boring Wood, Now for Halifax to see off Eastleigh. No disrespect but I couldnt bear all the media again if they where the only non league side to make round 3 again!

I very much doubt it with the way we're playing at the moment. Think we'll give it a great go and just maybe pull off the GREATEST UPSET IN FA CUP HISTORY

It will be a momentus day for the postmen, bricklayers and binmen of plucky little AFC Halifax as they play in probably the biggest game in their history. Just being on the same pitch as National League giants Eastleigh will surely be the highlight of many people connected to the clubs entire life.

Good on them, and a big well done for getting this far. Amazing achievement tbf.

Barrow 2 Taunton 1
goals from Jordan Williams and Ryan Yates saw us through against a spirited Taunton side who scored a cracking free kick goal.
Jordan Williams goal was a beauty and he's probably put another £50,000 on his value with plenty of scouts watching again.
looks like Bristol Rovers next as they're 4-2 up against Creepy with 10 mins left...
Last time I saw your team at Rovers was in the 1969/70 season. Rovers won 2 - 1. Always remember a Fred Else in goal for you.

Aye, aye, aye aye
Else is better than Yashin
Mick Hartland is better than Eusebio
and Rovers are in for a thrashin'

Now it's all; "Shoes off for the Lads."

Fred Else's grandson Jon played for us a few seasons back. What a nice kit. Sigh.

Decent player, best down the right wing. Now at North Leigh.

Yep.

Got a photo on the pitch with him after our last home game of the season v Histon in 2010 when we thought we were safe.
Thought it was a good idea cos he was going to go on and be a star player for us. Put the mockers on him that did lol.

AFC Halifax is our glorious supporters team. They've been world champions a couple of times in recent years. Thanks for the name check. :bdick:

Well done Brackley, excellent so far. Nice to see Luke Graham doing well for them very good for us and a top lad to boot.

And now it's 2-1.

We've been comfortably the better side, just can't fucking defend.

Plenty of time.

Yep, comfy for 20 mins, they score one from a set play which generally happens to us at least once a game, then they score a decent one on the counter. Not a lot in the game since apart from our goal and Diggins one on one. All of Brackley's play has been on the break or set pieces and we've had most of the ball. If we could defend properly we'd be fine.

Like I say, plenty more to come.
