Again, not watching this at home so I'll comment once the match is finished. That second goal was one of the best of the tournament though!

YES!

Really glad we got the win. We were shaky in the midfield but we won't be using Retamoso or Yotun anyways against Chile so I'm not to worried about that. Also shaky on set pieces which still seems to be a problem.

Anyways, we won deservedly. Our attack was just unstoppable on the night. Great attacking display from us. The first goal was the perfect cross from Juan Manuel Vargas and the second goal, which is a contender for goal of the tournament was a perfectly executed counter attack. Yes, the goalkeeper probably could have gotten a hand to it, but since he didn't I'll put it up there as one of the best goals of the tournament. Last goal was a comical error from Bejarano (I believe it was him) and gifted Peru's third.

Next up is Chile. I'm expecting to lose but I have hope that we can pull it off. Would be amazing to knock Chile out of their own cup as their rivals.

Good luck on that. Seeing how well Peru played today, wouldn't be surprised if Chile got some help from ref again to win. Gotta watch out for the fingers too!

Had to get to my bed last night so missed the last 20 minutes and two goals. Anyway, the game was won by then so all good.

I think Peru will give Chile a great game and feel it could be close either way. :)

Up Cavani's arse I assume.

There isn't enough room in Luis's rectum what with all the Liverpool fans heads still stuck up there, eh Salty?

Falcao dropped, should make Colombia more of a threat to the Argies - hoping for a cracker here.

Fair play to Ospina there, he's a hopeless keeper, but those were world class saves there from Aguero and Messi on the follow-through.

I have to disagree with you. I've watched Ospina for months and he's a class keeper. Internationally anyways. I've seen him for Arsenal too, he hasn't performed to his max potential but he hasn't been that bad.

I've only ever seen him play for Arsenal really tbh, except maybe at the World Cup if he was Colombia's keeper back there; but yeah he hasn't been great for his club and I always feel there is a mistake in him, and thats maybe why they are looking at Cech as Szczesny isn't all that either for them.

6 yellows in the first half, the Colombians having earned four, their strategy to contain the Argies has been pretty much 'when in doubt stick a leg out'.

Been very entertaining though, expecting a sending off or two before long at this rate. Colombia have got to try keep the ball longer than ten seconds at a time, just can't get into the game and have alot to thank Ospina for who's made some fantastic saves.

They way they were playing in the first half, it was as if they were playing for penalties. Let's hope they are a bit braver second half.

Yeah, didn't look like they intend to play football. Tbf Argentina did go up the gears and were pressing relentlessly at times.

Mostly by Rojo and Di Maria... :hypo:

You and Silkyman should start a forum where you can talk about United players all day and leave the actual football to the rest of us
