He's won this league 3 times before, has he really fallen off that bad?? on paper your squad looks at worst a mid table team.

We look absolutely nowhere near. As was the case last season we're unable to keep our players fit so a few big players are out with the club refusing to provide injury updates as always. Every "name" player Still has signed is awful. Only the relatively unknown youngsters are giving me any real hope at the moment.

Has there ever been a team promoted into the Football League & been relegated straight back down??
At 5pm on the day we won the Conference back in 1998, I confidently predicted we'd be the first club to be relegated twice from the Football League. My Shaymen boys have never let me down.

I hope Barnet improve on that, as that was fucking woeful.

We finally took our chances, but it could have been more. Another three goals next week will be welcome!

98/99, what a season. Manchester City v York City was a league match, Halifax were in the league and Scarborough were still a thing.

And we drew 0-0 with City at Maine Road that season.

And nobody had ever even heard of a Fleetwood or a Fylde. The glory days and beauty of the Natural Order.

Nope.

But early signs are that Macc are going to try. Mind you, FGR took a while to get to grips with L2, as have other promoted sides before them so they'll be fine.

We beat them 2-1 at SB, then got bummed 4-0 at Maine Road.

Peter Beardsley played for us that season. That was also the year of Jimmy Glass.

Oh the Football League. The brotherhood is truly an organisation of liberation and social justice.

We’re not getting relegated. It’s August. We will hit the bottom of the table though. Soon.

Not been to a game yet so I’ve been saved from any of the ‘performances’ but these results are inexcusable. We don’t need more signings though - we need to trim the bloated squad which is doing real long term damage to the club and which demonstrates just how poorly we have been run in recent years.

What on Earth is this place going to be like when we get smashed at Chesterfield next week?!

The problem is that the players bloating the squad are all Still signings. For example EMC and Kyei both had decent pre-seasons and this was a good opportunity to give a couple of promising youngsters a run in the team with Akinola and Vilhete injured. Still then brings Elito in on trial, who is outshone by both the youngsters in the games he plays, and yet Still decides to give a 2 year deal to Elito who has barely looked NL South standard so far. It's actually the existing players who we need to keep hold of.

To be fair it was about 200 ;)

Watching us play pretty much park football really wasn't much fun...so I don't really blame people for staying away.

Huge turnaround. Personally don't see you as massive rivals, but I'm only young. Only ever known Dartford as our rivals and they're playing park football these days. ;)

Love the games against you though. North Kent rules supreme currently since the play off loss. ;)

On one hand, an abysmal decision from an inconsistent and weak referee gifted Harrogate their first goal (you can't let the clear push on Kinsella go and then penalise every other minor contact).

On the other hand, the way we crumbled after conceding, and the fact we have only scored in one of five games is extremely concerning. We have good players, but they are not gelling as a team and they don't have the belief to come back when going behind. At Chesterfield, Solihull and again today we may as well have packed up and gone home the minute we went behind.

Waddock needs to sort this out, because if he doesn't we're going to be playing relegation six pointers rather than promotion six pointers.

I know its early, but this is our worst start for six years. I do feel that any other manager than Waddock would be having some serious questions asked of them by now.

Ebbsfleet, Sutton and Wrexham next - 3 games i'm expecting nothing from, think we will really be up the creek by the time we play Havant on 5th September!

No. We need to pick a manager and back him with a squad suited to his methods. Not force him to use youngsters who don’t fit his style of play.

I’ve not seen Elito play but assume he is more long ball merchant than the youngsters?!

Literal game of 2 halves at Solihull today, although neither team particularly dominated the half they were the better team in. Draw by far the fairest result.

Just seen the league table - not that these things mean much yet - but Sutton are the team doing the best to represent the south and civilisation.

I’m increasingly glad that we had little or no interest in making the Byron Harrison signing permanent.

A week off now, chance to rest and prepare for Saturdays massive test against Fylde before the annual gift of at least a point to Aldershot at the Rec

Still has been backed and has signed dross.

Elito isn't anything really, he never increases his speed beyond a jog and shows minimal interest in getting involved.

Still has had the perfect opportunity to build a squad suited to his methods and it's awful.

Overrun by the bafflingly smug and almost entirely humourless Chesterfield fans who are so very conspicuous by their absence this evening, I’d imagine.

It's my weekly we're going down post.

Fuck sake. We haven't even lost to anybody good which is what seals it.

Boreham, Maidstone, Aldershot and now Halifax. We've managed to be worse. Goodness knows what will happen when the decent sides play us.

The worst part for you is, we were really poor today compared to other performances. If we had played like we did against Maidstone I think we would have put 3/4 past you today. Really surprised at how poor you were.

Take back everything I said about Fondop to that Halifax fan in the summer. The lad has been a revelation. He'll be gone in January at this rate.

Wish we still had him. He would fit perfectly in our team this season. Edwards (The lad who has replaced him) is ok with probably more potential but Fondop has more going for him in terms of goals. Knew he would be a fan favourite for you

Think we will get battered by chesterfield and then lose 1-0 at home to Dagenham which will see Still sacked.

The only vestige of civilisation in this tinpot hobby club and plastic pitch-infested hellhole is the Brotherhood.

A group of increasingly desperate and delusional types who think a history of drawing with Port Vale and Crewe bestows some sort of superiority isn’t civilisation.
