A player jumping into a goalkeeper preventing him catching it and the ball ending up in the back of the net? Sounds familiar...

Is there any chance one of these garbage game changing decisions cannot go against us? One a game at the moment. Might have to stop being tongue in cheek about it being a conspiracy.

Davies clearly holding the ball with two hands as yard dog goes clattering into him.

We reacted poorly to it after that, but Barrow weren't in the game before the decision and we were coasting, Cookie had two chances to kill the game that to a degree cost us.

Don't forget that Mangan basically cheated against Lincoln at SB for your goal, luckily for us we scored again to win 2-1. Last night Rhead sounded as though he probably went down a bit easy though still was being fouled and we had a ridiculous handball not given when it should have been a penalty. These decisions do even themselves out so the only thing you can do is get on with it and make sure you take those chances so the officials can't influence any game.

That was in part the point I was making. We did that against Chester, but failed to do so last night. There was a bit of a disconnect in our performance last night, you could still see we were a significantly better football side than Barrow, but the extra edge wasn't there. Mellon doesn't wan't to disrupt the side with any more signings, but looking a necessity as all our creative/link players are injured.

Every club gets these decisions against them we've had a few shockers too but we don't constantly bitch and moan! Sounding like Chelsea under mourinhio.

I don't think we looked significantly better than Barrow at all. It looked, to all intents and purposes, to be a niggly, physical game between two mid table sides. The only good bits were two cracking strikes, one from either side. Dodgy refereeing decision aside, I don't think we were hard done by - we just weren't good enough.

A few we could put up with but it is every week. It`s getting beyond a joke. Anyway not to worry there`s always the Play offs and the delightful opportunity of sending your entire support at Wembley home in their mini bus. which will probably only be half full, crying their eyes out.

As for the Lincoln fan saying Rhead might have gone down easily. When hasn`t he? He is the biggest, in more ways than one, cheat in this league by a long long way.

We won't. If we play you in the final we'll be going home in our mini bus celebrating taking our rightful place in the football league.

Refs like us more then you, plus the league wants to keep you down here as long as possible. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for you to beat us at Wembley.

A couple of cracking finishes in the Barrow game.

Lol, he gets assaulted virtually every game. Often marked out of the game (or rather try to get marked out) by 2-3 players and still usually wins his tussles. Getting fouled and sometimes then going down is a big difference to tripping yourself up to con a penalty.

Behave, Rhead goes down like a sack of spuds at the slightest contact. I'd never say he's not effective though - the sort of player you love to have on your team, but hate to play against.

The penalty last night was right in front of me and there's no doubt it was a penalty. Rheady dropped the shoulder (no sniggering at the back!) and tried to go by his man, who clumsily took him out. I reckon he could've stayed on his feet but it wasn't a dive.

Suarez tonight, on the other hand...:msi:

Yeah he does, can remember him falling to the ground after a challenge from drissa and frear both have the fat twats size.. Definitely one of the biggest cheats in the division only mangan and Norwood ahead of him.

Haha! "I was in ULTIMATE PAIN." I can't not read that in a Schwarzenegger voice...
It must have been quite a grip Gowling had on his neck as well, so tight that it made his legs buckle from underneath him.

To be fair to Rhead he's not as bad as Akinde was. Diving his way to promotion.

Seriously though, I thought non-league would be more honest than it is. I wasn't prepared for the sheer amount of niggly fouls, gamesmanship, diving, simulation and other general unsportsmanlike behaviour - it's on another level to anything I've seen before (excluding maybe Martin Allen's Notts County from a few years back). I know we have one or two players that could be accused of some of those things - we're certainly not the innocent party - but it's so widespread in this league it's ridiculous, and it ruins entire games. The refs are paid peanuts, so the league gets monkeys who can't cope. I thought I'd enjoy it down here, at least for a season or two, but it's purgatory.

Referees are terrible yes but it's worth remembering, you're a big fish down here and many clubs will play to ruin your game rather than impose their own. Expecting free flowing stuff from everyone is.. not in line with reality I don't think.

I'm just fed up and venting, and at the end of my tether with Tranmere. It's been year upon year upon decade of decline, and watching yet another inexplicable refereeing decision turn the game on a open terrace in the miserable pissing rain at Barrow on a Tuesday night with barely 1,000 other people and a food van with NO PIES might have been my breaking point. Yeah, my toys are well and truly out of the pram. Wah.

We have pies with mushy peas and gravy at our place. I'm not sure if you can get to them in segregated games though :/

That's just it though isn't it.

For three decades we were in 2nd/3rd tier so our entire fan base is used to seeing good football, even when it isn't Tranmere doing it. Much easier to accept Fulham tearing you to ribbons than a dodgy decision costing you in an awful match.

Big news for us today in that Lois Maynard ISNT out for the season as feared. Barrow wouldn't have been able to bully us if he had been in the middle, so it'll be huge having him back for April. Hopefully we are still within a few points of Lincoln then.

As I said before the first goal is to reach to 80 points that will get us playoffs, then see what we have left. Ideally we will be within two wins of Lincoln going into April, due to the goal difference they're currently effectively 7pts ahead.

FGR have to travel to us, Dagenham and Lincoln, so it'll take a huge effort from them..

You're ok then! Kidderminster were what I had imagined non-league would be like, but they inconsiderately got relegated.
