See I missed the love-in for us cooking my tea first after I got back :D
Not sure you exactly rode your luck despite having a fair bit of defendiing to do as you moved well in midfield when you could and bar the goal for all our possession don't remember really testing your keeper too may times, plus almost every dead ball situation wasted.

Yeah, you certainly didn't take advantage of the billion corners you had. Rather than luck, it was a mixture of you wasting opportunities and some moments of good defending and goalkeeping that kept you down to one goal. I do like this new trying to play football Forest Green though. You may be trying to buy yourself out of this league, but at least you're doing it in an entertaining way now.

For us it felt like Wrexham were poking their head up out of the Mills shit pile that had built up over the last 12 months. The best we've played this season by a fucking mile. Scoring a breakaway goal at the end after being under massive pressure is always the best way to win a football match. Loved it.

We had no defender on the bench and at the time we were hoping Saville was going to get stitched up and come back on. Dont think it would have changed anything if we made a substitution at the time. The damage was done by a combination of a bizarre sending off for Gallagher and Saville's injury.

Ignore my previous red card related messages it appears I have mixed up Aldershot players, silly Jared

They treat away fans like poo. Long may the downfall of York City continue :bg:

Sadly buddy thats how you get treated at most grounds in the league, i wish everyone treated visitors in the exceptional manner i heard you guys welcomed our white army sadly this is not the case, i wish it was , wait until you go to wrexham or chester you get treated like its a bnp march if it wasnt costing the clubs a fortune in imposed police costs it would be funny.

As for us our coppers are used to liverpool and everton same as your lads are used to handling blues/villa so your welcome will be friendly and relaxed but the police are experienced enough to spot the trouble makers before they spoil everyone elses enjoyment , our fan zone is mixed and a laugh so hopefully if you pop up to our place you will enjoy your day.... apart from 90 min of it

I'm still struggling to understand yesterdays game. First half we sat back and let Borehamwood have the ball. They only created a couple of half chances in that time to our one. Second half we went straight on the attack and took our chances when they came.
Anthony Jeffrey for Borehamwood had a cracking game but he's so bloody quick his team mates couldn't get forward quick enough to get on the end of his crosses!

Manager Luke Garrard said after the game that we are the only team to put three past them all season having only conceded 15 in those other 21 games.

I expect York will be after revenge on Tuesday after we demolished them at ours 6-1. Tough game ahead

Probably because there was only a few dozen of us I thought it was a reasonable welcome at Wrexham yesterday, stewards friendly and let me have a fag at half time out of sight of the cameras and couple of pints in the club house beforehand in a cheerful atmosphere chatting with the locals.
Our kids and some of theirs waved a few wanker signs at each other across the stands when the result went pear-shaped but that's about as far as hostilities went I think

Yep, as it turns out it might not be enough to carry the title off before Christmas but it's a lot more enjoyable than last year's attempt to grind it out. I liked the look of our new lad Monthe for his brief go at the end, seemed quick and agile for such a big bloke and burst into the box a couple of times.

What happened on your York visit? Can't say ours was that bad, though their away end not the most salubrious.

Largely agree, though the cops seem to have picked up some bad habits from their Cheshire and N Wales counterparts. Home fans seem to get a worse deal than the visitors at Prenton Park.

They were great when i went there with saints to watch rl when the crusaders played there, you are right about the stewards they are superb they even let a bloke into the main stand to the left of us in a leeds shirt ( he was loving the shit he was taking from 2000 saints supporters) its just the coppers and their stupid bubble policy

Away fans are treated like crap across the country.

Go to Birmingham and you'll have yobs spitting at you from above, go to Notts forest and they'll throw stuff at you whilst the coppers eject your fans for even standing up.

Best away experiences I've had have always been at the clubs in the southwest, Yeovil in particular.

FGR 3rd in table by Wednesday morning BUT still in promotion zone.
November always looked a bad month but it eases up going forward.
Sorry to have to break this to you buddy but the 'promotion zone' in the National League consists of 1st place only.....!

Funny you should write that.
Were not Grimsby 4th in Conference last season and are now in Football League.
I will reconfirm: Whatever Tuesday's results, FGR WILL remain in promotion zone.

Happy to say it's a pleasure going to Prenton Park. The coppers actually talk to you like you belong to the same species. This compares to the moronic, thug security/doorman types you get at FGR, Torquay, Bromley and BorehamWood.

No. We will be in a playoff place. 1st place is the promotion zone. So many FGR fans are special.

Promotion zone by definition doesn't have to = automatic promotion.

Finishing in the top 5 means you've finished in the promotion play off zone.

Gotta know your shit before having a pop at the lad.

At most games I like to stand to stand behind the goal we are attacking, but couldn't yesterday so was forced to have a birds eye view of our defence in action, and it was so scary, no wonder we let so many goals in.

Yes, Macclesfield's new stand is quite something isn't it.

I do know my shit. There is one automatic promotion place. Yes, there are four promotion playoff places, but that is very different to calling 2-5th places the 'promotion zone'. I appreciate it's difficult up in the back of beyond and your mother is also your girlfriend, but your ignorance isn't my fault.

Another solid game from Lincoln bar losing their way a bit for around 10 minutes when Maidstone had a couple of decent chances. Once we scored it just a question of how many we would get. Farman could have a read the programme in the second half! Pleased for Robinson getting his goal and had a good game as did Rhead again. Pity 3917 there but we have a lot of home games coming and it was a miserable afternoon too!
Roll on Tuesday and hopefully the Imps will go top!

Potentially 5 in a row?

Yesterday, Wrexham on Tuesday, Oldham on Monday, FA Trophy Saturday and then Tranmere. Off the back of York as well.

Cannot wait for our game at sincil coming up it will be a real indication of where both clubs are, both teams are improving by the week, alongside barrow but fgr are still the jollies in my opinion.

Will be a belter

Ah, that's the problem. Chris only started supporting FGR when the money came in.

Wrong. I started supporting FGR around 1998. When I was 10.

Remember being allowed to go to that Merthyr 3-1 night game as a special treat. Awesome memories.
