Same old FGR, go top then mess up against any side in the top ten. I'm actually beginning to think we may not even make the playoffs. We lack a decent striker to play alongside Doidge and have a manager who is determined to play three at the back without wingbacks whenever he can.

Crazy 5-4 loss today, with the goals being courtesy of shocking defending rather than skill. Braintree set-pieced us to death, and we just couldn't cope.
Clearly.. you allowed Jack Midson to score. His first in something like 50 games!

I gather by the notable absence of the £GR wankers this evening that they were given a TOTAL FOOTBALL MASTERCLASS today. Or have the admins administered a dose of antibiotics to the forum? :£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£

Some of us have seen this coming for a while. A manager who seems intent to play three at the back isn't going to win anything. I'm starting to think the playoffs are possibly out of reach. We lack a striker.

Don't be silly, you're still favourites for the league in my books. A little run like this one isn't going to change things, you were a class act in the first half against us. My disdain for your business model doesn't mean I can't appreciate the fact that you're a very good football team. Annoyingly.

Good football doesn't always equate to winning. Ask Dave Hockaday.

Nah you're wrong DSL he scored a hat trick a couple of weeks ago in the Essex Senior Cup against Maldon & Tiptree. Thats about his current level although his goal today was well taken.

Yep, they'll do that.

Na don't worry, if they are still up there in March then subtle elements of reffing out will ensue.

It's only the plucky 'unpopular part-timers' that get reffed out by the National League. 'Part-time' Dover are the ones who need to be worried.

If good football means passing round your defence against Stourbridge and allowing them to score 3 goals past you then yeah he did play good football.

Btw where's the gobshite Chris FGR?
Great result for us. I don't know whether we're going to lose 3-0 or win 3-0 each week. A hat-trick for Gozie Ugwu, who is in superb form. Six goals in his last three games. RICKY MILLER HE'S COMING FOR YOU.

Gateshead couldn't find the way through our defence that has conceded 43 goals in the league. Their defence actually did a good impression of ours and gifted us two goals.

I'm really looking forward to our last ever game against Woking on 17th April next year. By the time they get back up here we'll be in the EFL anyway

You are the gob-shite. Chris was at the match, he is proper fan.

Any excuse to slag FGR off you do it, FGR are just as proper a club than fecking Chester, I remember The original Chester getting 800 odd fans. Get over yourself.

For the rest of the game we seemed out of sorts, and gifted Torquay an equaliser with a misjudged chest back to the keeper... Sparkes couldn't miss.
Did I miss something?
Decent summary. I thought that it was a penalty when Tollit went down, ref didn't give it and Torquay went down the other end and scored.

What, when we were boycotting getting our club back?

Get a grip.

Wrexham 2-0 FGR HT

We've rode our luck as FGR have been the better side really but we've taken our chances and they haven't. Our on loan keeper Coddington has been excellent as well.
See I missed the love-in for us cooking my tea first after I got back :D
Not sure you exactly rode your luck despite having a fair bit of defendiing to do as you moved well in midfield when you could and bar the goal for all our possession don't remember really testing your keeper too may times, plus almost every dead ball situation wasted.

Let's be honest, Chris gives it out more than anyone on here and get's it back, he's a big boy.

We hardly need this random spouting complete drivel.

Don't call me a random you arrogant cretin. Some of the drivel spoken by tossers like you and others who support clubs like Chester is laughable.

Oh but it is fine for you idiots to call FGR not a proper club.

Why have you brought that up, I didn't and never have, nagging away is it? I've questioned Forest Green many times but I've never said that.

Just not having someone trying to score a cheap point on the back of someone trying to kill our club.

Well what a waste of fourteen hours that was!

Though, the referees ridiculous decision, favours us result wise, if I was a Macclesfield fan I would have been fuming, and even as a Dover fan and most there yesterday agreed, at best it was really disappointing decision and the referee obviously paid scant regards for the fans .
The time and money we spend getting to places like this and I would say about 80/90 of us made the trip yesterday is now totally wasted and it is ridiculous that we now have to do it all again on a freezing Tuesday night in January or Feb.
Had he called it off at half time, regardless of the score, no-one could have moaned because from where we were sitting we couldn't even see the far end penalty area , and was just able to make out the opposite touchline. But five minutes after he called it off, which was subsequently changed to suspended, and worse following a bloody 'fog' inspection, it was clearer than it had been all game, and most certainly playable, totally playable. Disgraceful decision. My team benefited, but football fucking didn't.
Oh and since last year, they banned smoking in our end and the designated puffing area we had last year was no more...that was even worse! :bg:

As for the game itself, which will piss off Lewhites I know, but will be confirmed by Macclesfield fans we were seriously found wanting.I can't comment on how we did going forward as genuinely we couldn't see, but am guessing precious little because Miller and Moses spent more than 50% of the time in the the half we could.
At most games I like to stand to stand behind the goal we are attacking, but couldn't yesterday so was forced to have a birds eye view of our defence in action, and it was so scary, no wonder we let so many goals in.
Disorganised, disjointed and as a unit totally unfit for purpose. When our Mr consistent Sam Magri has a shocker you know as a team we are in trouble, and Orlu, OMG!
Our constant hoofing was even worse than normal and just seemed to play right into Maccs hands and to be fair from what we could actually see they were all over us. If it wasn't for Arnold pulling off 2 or 3 worldies this could have quite easily have been another Chester, we really were that bad, which is why just from a footballing perspective the abandonment was a right result for us.
The left winger who scored the goal was real quality and they tore our man marking system to shreds. The only positive is that we simply can't be that bad again Tuesday
