Home to Torquay. Nathan Blissett will score, ref will be shite, we miss yet another pen, Scott Davies equalises in the 93rd minute from a corner, crowd of 4,523 spectators, 2 stray dogs and 78 pigeons. I need to stop posting on here when I'm drunk...

In before the Dover in-fighting ruins another thread...

We're away at Dagenham, and either team could go second! Almost unbelievable for Barrow fans.
We've read about their poor recent form and the many injuries they've got, so we'll be confident - BUT we've currently got no keeper, some players are looking tired after we've picked the same XI almost all season, we've not been great away for a while now, and our unbeaten run must come to an end at some point!

A draw is a good result for us.

Away at Lincoln, on one hand our record Vs BELTs reads W3, D2, L3 which really isn't too shabby, and all 8 performances have been good. On the other hand Lincoln are up there for a reason, we're inconsistent at best, and of those 8 games, all 3 losses have come against sides in the top half (Dagenham, Tranmere, Aldershot), whilst the highest placed side we've taken points off is 7th placed Boreham Wood.

Prediction: Battling 2-1 loss

11 gulls in the away end and 11 gulls behind the ball for 90 mins before a fgr loanee does his mates a massive favour in the 93rd min.

Always a snooze fest when we go to Macclesfield. Last year we failed to score past an outfield player in goal for 85 minutes.

1-1 draw for me.

Torquay have scored 2 goals in their last 7 away games. Cue a 0-3 drubbing... :2thumb:

But seriously, I'm looking forward to this. Mellon's side is showing some real promise, but inconsistency could still be our downfall.

It's going to be quite a sombre occasion for us tomorrow given the announcement of Paul Futcher's death yesterday. The only manager to ever take us to Wembley and the reason a generation of our fans got hooked on the club. I just hope the lads do the occasion justice, and if we play like we did in the second half against chester then we will.

We are dreadful away from home on the pitch, but even so, add a hundred or so onto your away fans prediction :p

With Keiffer we actually have a form of threat up top. Imagine we'll go 4-4-2 again which means we'll probably get badly overrun in the middle as we are carrying our captain at the moment. Nicho sees captain traits in the lad, but I can't say I've seen any of it yet. If Luke Young gets heavily involved and is given time to dictate play, we might well come home with something. Not expecting anything though.

It looks as though , for us, we could be playing you at just the right time, as your recent form, tho am not sure exactly who you have played has not been good at all has it, so with that in mind, I can't see us losing, but to me the chances of winning will depend on whether our boss gives Miller another detention, we will see.
Last year, in what was a re-arranged mid week game I think it was, where we still took 70 odd supporters was quite one sided, and you really should have won, but didn't. You also played really decent football, and though I know your supporters moan about Modeste but equally I remember your CF falling over everytime a Dover came near him. Hopefully we can improve on that, and we will need to..

The other fixtures all look like going the way of those in the top five, except and what a hard ga,me to call, Dagenham and Barrow, who since we beat them have been unbeatable. Some really important games affecting the relegation zone, whicb like the above game are all pretty hard tom call.

I cant remember from last year but does the club house, bar (and a nice bar it is to)| have Sky?

Maidstone should be a bit encouraged that we're not doing clean sheets at the minute (not had one for a month, conceding 8 in 4) but we've scored 15 in 4). Goals are coming from everyone at the minute.

Raggett back for us and I imagine Whitehouse will continue in midfield. Anderson missed midweek but I can't see a dead leg keeping him out again.

Need our second away win of the season, keeping pressure on those around the 22 points mark will go miles in keeping us in this race against relegation. Solihulls form means nothing against us.

Big game at Southport v Braintree aswell

Someone is going to have to explain to me what a BELT is.

Sutton v Aldershot is an early 2000s Isthmian league reunion match.

First game I'll be able to get to since we beat Woking in early October, our last league win

I expect a drubbing by FGR and a return to his bullish best by Chris.

But we've shifted Bakare to Billericay so nothing can upset me this week.

Bigger Ex League Teams or something.

Basically an acronym derived by the tin-potters, in an effort to upset the proper football clubs of the division.

Could it be time to publish another 'proper club' list, to once again remind everyone of where they stand in the Natural Order?

Aren't Maidstone the classic BELT ? Constantly talking about their ex league heritage because everyone has forgotten they were ever in the league?
That was the other Maidstone wasn't it? Unless that's the point you're getting at!

Easy win. Next.

Wont be enough to lift bullishness levels, we should be winning games like this comfortably anyway and have done most of this season, no disrespect to Wrexham.

Dover is the next chance for us to show we can beat the top sides, which we have to start doing at some point.

If Dover fans thought Cowley was bad for talking about other clubs' players, just wait until Barry Fry gets going...

No disrespect taken we are rubbish at the moment (some green shoots of recovery but a long way off yet) and you absolutely should be beating us if you are going for the title.

I don't see us getting anything here. Spine of our team is gone thanks to a suspension and injuries for the rest. No fit centre backs all four options now injured, Hawkins will start at the back meaning unfit Benson will start up top.

Take a point right now.

You should do but you might have noticed that you hardly ever beat us, even when you're meant to. No wins in nearly 5 years and 0-0 at home against our NINE men last time out. 3 wins from 16 overall since we've been down here. Saying that, I'll be adding you to my accumulator for sure. It's a CERTAIN away win this time, anything else would be an embarrassment.

We need to win to ensure Tuesday's result actually means something. Still very early on, but staying around 2 points a game will put us in good stead for January/February when our larger squad and strength in depth gives us an advantage over other sides.

An early goal for us and it should be comfortable, the longer we leave it the bigger the chance our crowd will get frustrated and Torquay will grow in confidence. The biggest difference I've seen from us under Mellon is we are a much more patient team and won't resort to rush tactics if drawing/losing.
