I just can't see both Halifax and Guiseley losing next week. Especially with Halifax having Macc. They're going to roll over, aren't they?

And all contingent on us winning at Braintree anyway. What fucking planet are we on? It just isn't going to happen.

Get in!

I'm definitely a curse, first time I've not made it to TNL since we've been back

All in our own hands now. Come on the Gulls!

That's it for Guiseley. Said all season they could easily get dragged in, ultimately they didn't have the balls when it mattered. Torquay will beat them next week.

Halifax are fine, they'll get what they need. Delighted for them today, after the amount of shit they've took off the FGR contingent on here.

I've always had a fondness of Altrincham, beautiful place with courageous folk and a football team than can play like Real Madrid on their day, only fitting that they should end their season with such a performance next week...

Torquay sounded very good today going forward - but you can get at their defence - I'd predict a draw next week, maybe an away win.... so with my history of predictions that'll be Guiseley safe... :dk:

Fantastic banter from Woking today. Any Lincoln fans care to share how they actually managed to lose to us? That's the double done over Lincoln, again.

1-1 probably a fair result for us and Dover. Both teams had chances to win the game. Think it was probably one of those games where the referee managed to annoy both teams with some odd decisions.

Massive variables in terms of the play-offs as well, Grimsby could be playing FGR earlier than they would have liked.

Mad to think that the last game of the season could still see us finish as high as 3rd or as low as 7th. Definitely not over yet!

No, it's over, no way are you losing to Alty. A you and Dover Semi would be really intriguing though - which tinpotter would be a step from heaven?

Winning today would've guaranteed 3rd, drawing would guaranteed the home tie 2nd. However, I don't care who we play atm because we'll get bitch-slapped by all three.

The play-offs are there for the part-timers taking. Both Grimsby and Forest Green are in free fall. The National League have a real reffing out job to do.

Nah not really surprising. Chester want the points more than you lot do. Plus, something tells me it would be better to play Dover at home first in the semis.
Nah not IMO.
Since play offs were introduced we've been in them 4 times, twice home first twice away first.
I'm sure you can guess where I'm going with this! Crucial in my eyes we get the away leg first but as that means needing at least a point at Tranmere and maybe all 3 I can't see it unfortunately.

Not buying this poor form into playoffs chatter. We've seen teams with great form, shit form and all sorts of different statistics and the end result comes out random every time. It is always whichever team turns up and wants it the most on the day. We could finish 5th and I'd still back us to go up.

FGR fans seem very quiet. Internet down in Nailsworth is it?

That was a thoroughly enjoyable game, and our largest crowd all season by far. Credit to the 100 odd Barrow.

First goal was a complete botch up - keepers goal kick hit Exodus on the back and bounced to Tomlinson who lobbed Moore.

Richards bangs in a screamer and Blissett puts us ahead with 10 left, but Barrow pressed and Cook scored a nice equaliser in stoppage time. Good celebrations at the end, and I just hope the new owners do not stem this new found spirit around the club by sacking Nicholson off.

As for our defence, today we had Exodus (as we all know, he is terrible) and Ben Gerring, who signed from Bideford. Gerring was MUCH better than Ex, but it is no surprise Barrow got some joy out of that pairing. Hopefully we'll have Player of the Year and YPOTY Nathan Smith back in next week.

Bloody glad we had sealed it last week as that last minute equaliser could have been an absolute killer!!

Yes I can see where're you're coming from. Usually, I want the away game first, just like all footy fans do, but in this case I think playing Dover at home first will prove to be a good thing (if you go on and get the win obviously). I reckon even a narrow 1-0 win will set you lot up nicely for the second leg. Just a gut feeling I guess.

Grimsby should also try doing their new tactic that Hurst came up with by scoring early in the first-half. They were doing it really well earlier in the season. I don't know why Hurst stopped telling them to do it. It was genius the way he came up with it this season.

Well that was terrible. But agree with the post above, I don't think form means much going into the playoffs. There cup final games, it's a lottery.
