You are home against Sheffield and Leicester
Walsall v Grimsby Town
Grimsby Town v Leicester City
Grimsby Town v Sheffield United
I'm sure the pubs on Cleethorpes high street cannot wait to welcome back the wonderfully behaved Sheffield Utd supporters from Saturday........ :box:

OMG the premier league champions coming to Blundell Park for a competitive fixture, I can't bloody wait.....

that was sarcasm btw

Unfortunately I can see the armchair fans turning up for both our home games which is disappointing.

Why would armchair fans suddenly turn up for Leicester who have been as unimportant as rest of us for years.

Only 2 clubs I deemed important for armchair fans were Chelsea and Everton, most other quit.

Wonder what would happen if Exeter refused date switch for Chelsea b

Im glad with us being one of the biggest draws left in it, we've ended up with 3 clubs who I doubt will be very excited by us! Bolton and Blackpool have both played us loads in the last few years and have been in the Prem lately so I cant see them getting too excited. Cheltenham might, they sold out against us in the FA Cup about 3 years ago, but doubt they'll be quite so enthused at watching our kids.

There first team are the premier league champions, I think you underestimate the stupidity of the plastic armchair fans.

A lot of the 3rd games will be meaningless if already out before a ball is kicked

If a game is drawn , there will be a penalty competition to earn an extra point ...meaning you could get knocked out of a competition by a penalty shoot out happening 100 miles away

West Ha have confirmed their fixtures on their website, and as expected, no game at the Olympic Stadium. Their home game has been switched to Sixfields.

can't wait to play reading reserves......
doesn't take the piss at all that clubs with over a hundred year histories have to turn up and play competitive games against reserve teams.

Derby and Port Vale away and Doncaster at home. The latter will both be piss poor turnouts but I can see a few hundred going to Derby.

I expect Murray to take about as much interest in this as he did last year and play his weakest team possible without being fined. Id like to see lots of teams field youth teams and once fined just pull out of it next season.

Especially hope no home fans turn up at the teams who voted this circus in.

The cheeky fuckers. Another promise broken. I believe they kept us West ham and Millwall all deliberately as well. Why?! :animatedf:

I can see there being some very, very low crowds for this competition now. Stevenage now come to us twice on a Tuesday night within two weeks............

Grimsby have a good draw though in terms of their home games.

The thing is, it does seem very odd. You would think that they can probably see now what a shambles this is, and would have fixed it (well nobody could watch the draw so it was probably fixed anyway...) so the groups would have some really attractive ties, even outside the ones involving the Prem sides. There are very few of those though, like you say, as so many of the London sides seem to have been kept apart. There are a few though that also stink of quite deliberately trying to get a big crowd. Newport vs Swansea, Hartlepool vs Sunderland for example.

I disagree that a few stink based on your assumption. If anything they should've been more common if they had done the job properly

Accrington away and Chesterfield and Wolves Academy at home. What a joke of a competition. I seriously hope the gate vs Wolves isn't any more than a couple of hundred. Cheshire cup is higher up on my priorities next season than thus rubbish.

Our militant branch of support 'SOS Pompey' set up prior to our fateful ownership fiascos, has come out of hiding for this one. (Amongst other things, scared the shit out the FA after a thousand strong mob were due to turn up at their headquarters one evening prior to a London away game, eventually getting a meeting leading to the fit and proper persons qualification being changed to prove that the owner actually existed).

A meeting is being held on Monday to agree to the best cause of action going forwards. Expect demonstrations at the Reading game, whether inside or outside the ground.

Refreshingly, the club are fully behind it as long as it stays law abiding.

Reading reserves exciting....

Sadly it is a ground I've never made it to and I live about 35 mins from it. So I can see myself going while probably hating myself for doing it, just to tick off the ground.

There was an incredible comment made by one of head honchos at the "EFL" - a final between two academies "concerns him". What an idiotic comment to make.

Yup, paying to get in is completely defeating the point. If no-one goes then no clubs at all get any admission money, you go in they get the money and can say that X thousand people went. Stupid, just boycott it.
