Now I really am signing out of this thread for the season. Hopefully I'll see some of you back in next seasons promotion thread (more likely we'll be in the relegation thread)

Hats off to HG you correctly predicted this when the rest of us thought you were mad.

Sorry to say it but I cannot see any way you'll get back to playoffs this season.
I predicted it as well actually

FUCK Y'ALL WE CAN STILL MAKE THE PLAY OFFS, I'M NOT GIVING UP ON THIS OK I'VE STILL GOT ONE LAST STAND LEFT.

SO WHAT IF WE'VE GONE 7 GAMES WITHOUT A GOAL, SO WHAT IF WE'VE LOST 6 OUT OF 7. WE ARE EQUAL ON POINTS WITH 7TH PLACE.

IN KEITH CURLE WE TRUST.

So what's the predicted points total for 7th place - 70-72 points perhaps?

Yeah, I reckon about 72 would be needed on the assumption that Exeter, currently in the final spot, can win four of their last seven.

I know it's only two points, but for anyone from us downwards to make it we'd need really, really good runs until the end of the season.

really isn't his fault, we have no money because our owners spent the last two years turning away every Tom Dick and Harry who wanted to put money into the club because they needed to look into the mystery billionaire

You've got a really good team, so i'd suggest that it has to be at least a bit his fault.

that's the excuse he used here as well. Blew his entire budget in the summer then blamed the board for not finding more funds in January

Doncaster and Plymouth are surely promoted now. We're six points clear of Stevenage with a superior goal difference too so it'll take an epic fuck up to lose out from here.

It was a good team until two key players were sidelined for 3 month and we lost our top scorer in January, and the next highest has been out injured for 2 month. The current team is very poor.

I do agree it's partly his fault though.

I dunno - you had Grainger, Devitt, Brisley, Liddle, Miller, Joyce, Adams, O'Sullivan playing on Saturday - that's most of a bloody good League Two side.

Curle is very good at building a good team and imprinting his style of play on them but not so good when he needs to have any sort of plan b or his team need to cope with any sort of pressure.

Always been the same - we lost in the play-off final in 2003/04 with him in charge with a widely regarded best side in the league, then was crap the season after.

It is quite some implosion

Will be interesting with our last home game of the season at home to you - probably promotion party for you - possible play-off scrap game for us.

Our next 6 games are Exeter H, Doncaster A, Wycombe A, Luton H, Stevenage A and Pompey H.

We'll need 70-72 points I feel so we need to get at least 10 from that set of fixtures before our final game away at Crawley to give ourselves a chance. Exeter and Luton are absolute must wins.

Grainger - good L2 player, not been the same after injury
Devitt - been fairly useless for us
Brisley - below average
Liddle - no wonder Chesterfield fans were happy for him to leave
Miller - I'm guessing Shaun Miller, looked decent early in the season but another just back from injury
Joyce - reverted to type following Jones' injury
Adams - probably our player of the season, been anonymous for months now though as teams have doubled up on him
O'Sullivan - he's looked alright in glimpses but wouldn't say he's a very good player for this level

Earlier in the season when we were unbeaten, we had a largely settled team and a free-scoring striker which contributed so much to our early success.

Didn't most of the Carlisle contingent spend most of pre season telling anyone who'd listen that Nicky Adams and Devitt were the final pieces to the Curle master plan?
