Well, this is going exactly as expected. Passionless, weak, pedestrian performance against a talentless but hardworking Sutton side. I would say we better get used to this, but I've already got used to it over the past three years.

Where's that chopsy Orient fan gone to?

Edit: Right on cue.

To be fair to Orient I expect Sutton to be a tough place to pick up points, as I'm sure we'll emphatically find out in 10 days time.

You think I'm going to go into hiding every time we lose a game (which will be often)? Not read me very well, have you?

Don't expect many talented performances down here!

Sutton had a good record at their place last season against the bigger sides in the league, so this isn't really a surprise.

But I agree with E10 about how they've played in the first half. It's exactly how you can't play in the NL, but only 45 minutes in. That said, this seems to be a Davis way of playing.

Have more of the ball early on, defend awfully, concede two cheap goals, predictably attack in a slow manner only using the flanks (primarily the right side) then cross aimlessly into the box.

It's just like watching a 2013-2016 Crewe side. He just can't set up a side to dominate games and attack. Really feel for the Os fans cos we had to put up with this turgid shite for years.

Unless he miraculously wins this game it'll be 12 wins in his last 89 league games for Dull Davis...

I love it when the relegated league sides have all their pre season hubris knocked out of them.

It didn't happen to us the first match, we beat Stevenage 5-0...just most matchesafter

As today wasn't going to be tough anyway, we're having to start a player at right-back who we only announced as signing an hour before kick-off and who probably doesn't even know anyone else in the team's names.

4-4 in terms of starting players who have played for Macc before between the two teams. Would very much take a draw as a final result...

Welcome to the Conference Orient :)
Not feeling confident today, we look a completely different side without Benyu, Kanu and Mensah (who is out with a knock today). Think we'll struggle for goals this season, starting today - 1-0 defeat.

It looks a Decent following for orient

It was. 1,200 my best guesstimate, though it's hard to gauge properly when you're strung out over around half the ground.

1st win on an opening day since 2009.

A deserved one as well. Can see why you are such a tough proposition at home (and won't hardly pick up a point away). The whole emphasis of the side and style of play is perfectly pitched to shithouse poncey ex-League clubs doing dumb stuff like passing the ball and being weaklings on that crazy golf pitch.

Fans all spread out? Being bitter after a defeat away at a minnow? Backhanded compliments? You're going to fit in perfectly! :69:

You appear to be confusing "bitter" with "factual".
