We have been linked what type of player is he?
Barrow fans are saying he’s shocking but my assessment is he’s physical, hard working and if he’s in the right system with decent players around him, he’s a decent player. I agree with HG that he’s a confidence player and he looked happy with us, which showed on the pitch.

He’s got something about him and is still young enough to improve too.

Rumours we're bringing Mark Howard back. We had him two seasons ago and I thought he was quite good, albeit prone to dropping a clanger.

Was he good last year for Carlisle?

Couple on Twitter suggesting Emmanuel Dieseruvwe to Bradford? All based on the fact that he tweeted goodbye to the Grimsby fans and his location is 'Bradford'.

Yes, he was our player of the season.

Don’t think he really made a mistake here and considering the shite he had in front of him he had a lot to do.

I would have kept him another season.

He was poor during his stint at Rovers. To be fair think he was bought as a squad player but then used initially, as the loan deal to bring a striker in fell through. Did better at Grimsby than I expected. Would have thought Bradford would be in the market for better quality than Mani.

I don't think there's anything in it, Boz. Just some of our fans being a bit bored on Twitter. The amount of people making new accounts and posting any old shite is beginning to get annoying! But thank you for the write up.

He could be signing for Park Avenue, he would be good signing for them.

Liam Roberts is probably off to Middlesborough. Hardly unexpect tbh, the only keeper better than him statistically in the League last year whether that's goals conceded or percentage of saves made was Joe Murphy who only played half the games. Still a loss for us though we'd have been planning for a while about it. Supposedly a new keeper in early next week, but no names have been mentioned.

Sad but deserves the move. Unbelievable keeper.

Cracking goals per minute ratio for us but I’m certain that doesn’t reflect his actual abilities weirdly. Didn’t tend to do much else aside from come on and score a tap in but you have to get into those positions I guess, will forever be a cult hero for us though.

Our retained list is out, it’s written itself but Scannell has been offered a new deal (which involves us taking him through rehab) and Sousa has been released. McAtee and Fox have been offered new deals which will be huge if signed.

Are Bradford aware that they are allowed to buy attacking players that haven't ever played for a club in North/North East Lincs?

One thing that Hurst said throughout the season that I found interesting was that Manny didn't really know how to use what he had, in terms of his size and strength. It's a weird one though because on the one hand I think you have a point but he only ever really came on right at the end of games (other than Eastleigh and he banged a hattrick in, perhaps has a few other starts but I can't be arsed to check) when his job was to either nick a goal or take the pressure off which he did well. I think you're doing him a bit of a disservice though in that his touch is actually pretty good and for someone so tall and lanky he had good feet. If you rewatch the final he has a few moments when he works the ball really well and keeps hold of it in some tight spots. I also think his goal vs Woking has gone under the radar, great finish. But I'm also with you in that I'm not sure if he's up to L2 standard and we've just not seen enough to really know. I'll be keeping an eye out for him wherever he is.

Also, I don't think we've offered McAtee new terms? He's got another year on his current deal hasn't he?

He's done well for us, we'd have loved him back but blew that chance when we surrendered at Wembley. Made a couple of mistakes but too he expected from a young keeper in L2

Yeah im just taking the McAtee part based on the fact it’d been reported we were putting something together

Charlie Colkett set to sign this week. Underwhelmed but not surprised. I'm just used to us signing injury prone midfielders every year. Goalscoring record is as poor as Ainley last few years and given we've lost Mandron and Porter which will lead to bigger roles for Sambou (5 professional goals to his name), injury prone Agyei (1 consolation vs Accrington where keeper put it on a plate for him) and CBR (questionable fitness and hardly prolific), then I can't see beyond a season of struggle this season barring a miracle. Regan Griffiths is an attacking midfielder whose never scored for us and Oli Finney has scored more lines than actual goals in the past 18 months. Too many losers and shrinking violets from last season still stinking the squad out and some of our fans genuinely think we'll be in promotion contention? Hilarious.

Been in talks with Ash Palmer from Stockport. Would walk into our team given our back line is young, inexperienced and suspect. Seriously think he'd be the type of player who'd raise standards at this football club because some of our current pro's have taken the piss for the last year or so. I certainly would be worried if Offord and Sass-Davies was our CB pairing in front of Richards in goal next season that's for sure, so a new keeper and two experienced heads are very much needed at the back. All depends whether Palmer wants to fight for his place at Stockport or be guaranteed first team football here I guess. But I'd be very encouraged if he did make the switch to Gresty Road.

HIGHLY RATED CLAXON

Until it's official I ask we all cool our jets.

In the #highlyrated stakes, there's actually only been one, officially recognised #highlyrated signing so far this season and he's turned up at Bradford, what are the rest of us doing, really shockingly low turnout so far.

Not touching a single drop of Kool Aid until we sign at least one quality central midfielder. Absolutely no-one remotely good enough to play alongside Clay.
Yeah the CM area is definitely our weakness right now, but with clay, pratley, coleman and brown I can't see us signing a 'big' player there.
I don't think any of them are really that good, though I think the jury is out on brown, he could come good.

Aside from that we look excellent across the back and upfront.

I think top 7 is the aim.

so Crawley fans - now that you've got wierd American owners who will look to get as much publicity for the club as they can what do the think the chances that they will re-sign your former player and England Soccer Aid goalscoring sensation (said firmly tongue on cheek) Mark Wright?

Very good. His minor weakness, I can think of two or three goals last season where he would be disappointed with his footwork/positioning from the games that I watched. Mckirdy goal at home Vs Swindon and Northampton goal from edge of the box in the play-offs are examples. However, I would be lying if I said I didn't rate him highly.

Decent keeper, as with any young, developing player in any position there's the odd mistake that needs to be worked on, but there were days he wouldn't put a foot wrong. Think where he ends up will depend on what type of season Utd want for him, be it the likelyhood of facing a season of mid to lower table but seeing more action, or a season of pushing towards a promotion place and being the last piece of the puzzle in a strong line of defence, putting up better numbers in terms of clean sheets etc. I'd say he's certainly League 1 bound but as for where, I'm not sure.
