Jake Hastie isn't a bad player. Went for the money at Rangers, don't expect them to keep him. Funny as i've just been talking about Armstrong and if Pools could have kept hold of him.

he was great 1st game - scored away at Barnsley - but after that was inconsistant. I don't think Cooper liked him too much. I'd be disapointed if we tried to sign him.
That’s a real surprise, he was a real stand out for us

I get some info from a lad at work & he's usually spot on.
How he knows,he won't tell me,but he reckons Armstrong & Raj have been meeting, but it depends on the financial situation.
Heard anything on Odusina coming to us? Rumours have resurfaced over the last day or so this end.

What you reckon, Luke Armstrong back to Pools, happening or not? Heard some talk about it last few days but don't wanna get my hopes up.
Would be very happy with that, and I personally think Luke would want it to happen as well, but personally can’t see Raj paying the wages needed unfortunately.

Yeah I know he wanted to sign for us but Harrogate could afford his fee and wages. He might regret joining them now, the career-killing soulless non-entity that they are.

He hasn’t mentioned anything,but it’s unlikely he’ll be here.
If he wanted to stay,he’d have signed by now.
As for Timi,he’s a bit dodgy, but his speed gets him out of any trouble he causes himself.
Don‘t let him try & play out from defence,he shits himself & inevitably gives the ball away.

He maybe willing to take a paycut to come back, but how much of a fee would Harrogate want & would Raj be willing to pay it?
He should do,as Armstrong could be the difference between mid table or making the play offs.

Our new manager and his assistant have said they are going to lock themselves in a hotel room for four days and nights on a cocaine fueled binge....er...that's not right.....on a coaching fueled binge to discuss tactics and recruitment.

Hopefully we will have a few targets after that.

Barrow and Zanzala have mutually cancelled his contract.

I’d take him back. I liked the look of him during his half season here.

Curtis Davies wants to come back home:

He's the same school year as me, a few people I know/who have met went to school with him. None have said a bad word against him, always been a decent bloke.

Doubt we'd take him though, we have enough cover at centre half.

Is school years a suitable measurement when you’re 54 or whatever Curtis Davies is

As far as the cost and expectation goes, he was the worst signing in our history. Reportedly our highest paid player but was scared of the ball.

That miss at Carlisle last season was enough to cancel his contract there and then. Best avoided by anyone in the EFL - might thrive in the lower reaches of Scottish football.

Wonder if he’ll come back to us. Apparently he’s been training abroad in his Exeter training kit.

I wouldn’t be against that at all. Think he has something to offer as a squad player.

Depends what he wants. I wouldn’t imagine he’d be a starter in League 1, so if he wants to get playing regular to rediscover his form, his best bet might be staying in League 2.

Fair point. I think he’s a shrewd signing for someone this summer. Just because it didn’t work out at Barrow, doesn’t mean he can be successful elsewhere.

Lavery must be really bad.
Even when we were scraping the bottom of the barrel last season,he couldn't get a contract here.
He is he reminds me of when we had Luke James here, just doesn’t seem to touch the ball at all. When we had the likes of Omari Patrick who we thought were bad they at least got on the ball and looked to make something happen. Players like Lavery look like they’re hiding, I doubt he’ll get another FL club.

For us he was a hard working number 9, big, strong and good in the air but decent with his feet as well.

He was a confidence player though, when he wasn’t scoring or missed some chances his head dropped and his performances suffered. But once he got a goal he looked like a different player and became a real pain for opposition defenders.

As said above I’d take Zanzala back here.
