I also said ours is average away support, all of Leeds,Villa, Sheffield Wednesday, are very good away followings, Poor away followings are Hull, Bristol City, Reading, Rotherham, Bolton, Preston are poor, but all these places are not footballing city's, the worst being Reading.

I'll entertain you though, Rotherhams is better than Derby's if you compare size of clubs and the fact they have the Sheffield clubs on their door step, Derby don't have that issue.

It’s all about per head of population. Burnley and West Brom do well, but it can be quite deceiving, as the Borough of Sandwell has a population of 300k, plus West Brom do have support that comes in from Brum.

As for footballing cities, Leeds and Brum are not what you call proper footballing cities.

We’ve pulled that little hospitality trick on Leeds again. Set aside a bunch of tickets in the away end for Leeds fans to pay £45 for. In return they get a team sheet, programme and two bob meal classed as “hospitality”.

How are Preston & Bolton not football cities/ towns? Our crowds are small because the population of each place is little over 100,000 with some of the biggest football clubs in the world on our doorstep. Derby is more than double that.

We averaged 600 less than Derby last season away from home last season, despite Derby's home crowds doubling ours. Season before that we averaged 200 less than Derby away from home....
