I don’t often see Ipswich take 2K away.

We regularly take 2k to Millwall, Charlton, Forest, Brighton and a few others (Norwich). Obviously the further away the amounts drop. More often than not, we take more away than the same club bring to us

I agree. I went up despite the early start, but expected 5/600 more than that to be honest.

Having said that, it will probably compare ok with the average for all clubs up there this season.

You must only have been following Derby County for a few years then as in 08/09 we had 2,430 and the following season 1,130.

When have Derby ever had more than 2,000 at Ashton Gate? Your away support is shit for a club of your supposed size given your location and that’s well recognised.

Derby have never been considered good travellers apart from to other midland games, and even then they still don’t sell out all the time. There is only us out of the midland teams that travel well most of the time regardless of form. Even then our away support has been known to dip at times, and is never considered on the same level as your Evertons and Leeds. You’d think Midland teams would travel better, purely based on location.

Yeah we seem to fluctuate a hundred or so either side of 1500 on average depending how we're doing. 800 odd at Boro with the circumstances is about standard for us up there, nowt to get upset about.

Seems more fancied the trip to Stamford Bridge tonight with the 4200 sell out.

I agree, I weren’t knocking it like. I think you’ll be a tough nut to crack, but i’ll be very pissed if we don’t manage the 3 points..

I didn't take it as a knock so don't sweat it, we should take more but there is a general apathy around the club at the moment, although we are better suited to play away from home....still think it will be a 2-0 loss though

Keep it tight, pack the middle of the field, and I’m sure you’ll have your chances with our weak back 5. We are passing it about more now, but it’s going to take time to get it more fluid. 2.1 Villa , or 1.1.
