I do feel, however, that trivialising / mocking unemployment on a British (where there is a 16% rate of youth unemployment) forum, by someone from Sweden (about 22%) is odious.

I wasn't mocking the unemployed at all, nor was I trivialising it. Taken out of context, I understand why it could be taken that way but with the half hearted insults that have flown between me and Dessie throughout the years, that's nothing. Both he and I have said worse things to eachother, knowing that neither of us will take offense. In this case, I know full well that Dessie works as a teacher.

I said it to annoy him. He says things to annoy me. It's what we do. It shouldn't be taken seriously at all, unless you believe that I look down on the unemployed and Dessie hates swedes by principle.
