Our strikers have been resting in home games since the middle of February...hope they resume finding the back of the net by the time the play-offs start or it could be a repeat of last season.

one of them is us at home next Tuesday - we are unbeaten in 9, have won the last 4 including Braintree last night - and we've already played Eastleigh of the park when we were crap earlier in the season and we beat them 1-0 (they were top and possibly unbeaten at the time)

Are Barrow in good form?

What if the following happens at the weekend....

Torquay (scrapping for points) v Tranmere..... is a HOME win
Braintree v Forest Gump.... is an AWAY win
Grimsby v Eastleigh..... is a HOME win
Wrexham v Dover..... is an AWAY win
Barrow v Macclesfield.... is a HOME win

then Tuesday;-

Grimsby v Braintree.... is a HOME win
Guiseley v Wrexham..... is a DRAW
Torquay v Alty..... is a HOME win

and....
Eastleigh get beat at home by Barrow for 6 wins on the bounce....

suddenly its Tranmere 69, Braintree 68, Eastleigh 67, Wrexham 67, Barrow 65
....
all the top teams play each other whilst Barrow have Kidderminster (already down by then) and an already safe Torquay.....

then we'd have....

Barrow v Wrexham on the last day possibly winner takes all for 5th....

then I wake up....

Feel free to win all your remaining games. Just makes us finishing in playoffs more likely.

They won the Champions League in pre-season.
We were robbed, we would have qualified for the UEFA Cup in 1934-35 but the useless feckers at UEFA hadn't invented it ...
And but for Cod Wars we would still be up there...
We are Non-League Leeds...

that's why the last line says "then i wake up"....
BUT that's more or less what we did in Conference North a few years back...
The Saturday bit is actually possible though - Braintree, Wrexham and Eastleigh all face teams higher in the table than them, and Tranmere just lost to Welling ffs....

We're in a bit of form remember! I'm hoping we won't just roll over and give you a win (like last time).

Imagine a playoffs with FGR, Dover, Braintree & Barrow in. Actually, don't.

Dont think you need worry about us any longer. Injuries to key players, and a virus brought back by our England C players has led to a big drop off in form. FGR & Altrrincham at home, Grimsby, Wrexham & Gateshead away are our remaining fixtures. If we make the POs after that lot it will be a minor miracle.

you looked a good, well organised team on Tuesday - apart from your number 7 fouling his own keeper for the first goal - just lacking a few ideas going forward

that won't happen as Grimsby, FGR and Dover have 3 spots more or less wrapped up
but imagine the atmosphere at our place last day if we both had a shout of the play-offs

There's a good feeling among the supporters now that he's gone. Hopefully the caretakers can take the scales from their eyes.

I don't know who the caretakers are - but as long as they pick players in their right positions etc you should get the 4 points or so you need to be certain to stay up

Not sure I can take anyone who lists their location as "Humberside" serious. The place hasn't existed for almost 10 years.

Having said that, I hope it's right.

Tranmere suddenly re-emerging favourites for 5th after today.

Our chances are almost over. We need to win all of the last 4 games, and hope other results go our way.
