Lose to Tranmere and that healthy lead has all but evaporated, and that wouldn't be the sort of record you'd want to take into the play-offs or it would be the game against you lot all over again. Do feel there's a lot more to come from this set of players and Cooper is capable of getting it out of them.
I'd love a win, but honestly, if we nick a draw I'll be over the moon.

I think the majority of people on this forum would have voted for Trump. Everyone gets excitable over lame, baiting posts - seriously take a look back at the last 10 or so posts. Very few seem to engage and talk about the games, the tactics, the selections, the performances. C'mon people were better then this.

Someone always brings up the bloody football! Isn't 90 minutes of moaning enough, without dragging it out into the apres-dirge?

18 unbeaten....
That is all.....
£350k budget, that is all :bg:

To be honest I was just responding to a jibe that we're average, not sure what gave that away, maybe our league position?

We're doing alright.

Unquestioning support of a multi millionaire who wants to change everything based on their own view of the world? Not me sunshine.

It would be an OK result, but as we bossed the fixture last year and we are improved team there's no reason not to go into the game confident.

They win games by being consistent; equals beating the dross and 50/50 versus the top sides.

Solid three points yesterday. Big injury problems but we came through it unscathed and in truth, it was a fairly tame game in the attacking sense. We were nowhere near our best and in truth, although York never *really* threatened consistently, they had a couple of good chances to pull it back to 2-1 from which point the the game would undoubtedly have panned out differently. Still, good to get the two goals before the break to almost kill it off. Impressed by Scott Heard as well, first time I've seen him play/first time he's started for us and he put in a good shift after signing from Folkstone.

Fair play to the York fans, actually made a bit of noise in trying to encourage the team, just a shame for them that City couldn't take anything from it.

Rovers without the two Jennings' injured and Vaughan and Harris apparently banned for picking up 5th cautions. I doubt Norwood, whose coming back from a ban will start and he had a point to make against his old club. Dawson sounded awful from the commentary yesterday too. I would be very wary of being bullish about this one.

Chester showed we can be gotten at it teams have a go and dont shut up shop however both solihull and dover were destroyed by us when they played an open expansive game against us: should be interesting on tues, and yes i would take a draw although i genuinely think we can win down there after the way we played at your place last season

If FGR fail to win there's a good chance Lincoln, Dagenham, Barrow, Dover and Tranmere (if FGR lose) all close up on them with wins. 9 points ahead could be 3 or 4 points ahead with a game more played. And if they fail to win that will be 4 home games against the other top 6 teams (Lincoln loss, Daggers and Barrow draws + the Tranmere result) without a win - and having lost away at the 5th team (Dover)

Only 'top' side we've played at home is Barrow.

Still got Dagenham, Tranmere, FGR and Dover to visit SB.

Can see us winning quite comfortably at SB (as usual) in March tbh. We're actually better away then at home and by that point we'll be really firing and on the verge of the title, hopefully.

Likewise can see us doing Barrow at Holker Street, they'l have to open up and we'll punish them.

wasn't it about March last season when you came to Holker Street and couldn't win with a 2 goal lead?
