In seriousness though. Where does this end for the Vale. Taking the rivalry away it would be a shame to lose another "proper" club to be replaced by tin pot rubbish like Salford, Solihull or Fylde. Looking at your fixtures though, I just don't see where the wins are going to come from. Id make you favourites to beat Yeovil at home, but that's about it at the moment, maybe a few draws thrown in there. But that's not going to be anywhere near enough. Very sad, and I do genuinely feel for the decent Vale fans of which I do know a few.

Reliant on hoping our away form keeps up and we can get something at Cheltenham and Notts I guess. At the moment confidence is zero and you could see that last night, players who were playing well earlier in the season have all gone massively out of form... Bolton were linked with Hannant in the autumn yet hes been dire the last few weeks, Rawlinson who was solid pretty much cost us the last three goals we've conceded. Oyeleke can't get fit, Pope is playing again when clearly still not fit and Legge can't be played due to rumours he will trigger a new deal... add to that Howkins not even making the squad and rumours of a fall out with Askey it looks a long way from the solid mid table side it was up to until December at the moment.

Maybe a win will change that but at the moment it just doesn't seem to be coming regardless of the performance levels.

Even without looking at our fixtures I can't see where the next win is coming from. We are woeful.

Personally, I saw enough fight from Vale in the second half last night to suggest they could stay up. The players were clearly working for the new manager.

In 2014-15 we had about seven or eight regulars who clearly weren't interested from February onwards, and that is when you know you are doomed.

I think Vale will be ok, on another day we'd have thrown it away in the last half hour and conceded at least a draw. I thought the ref was hit and miss, seemed to lose the plot a bit towards the end - Gilmour's yellow was an obvious foul, but never a card. And as for the drop ball...

Whilst all's obviously not well at Vale, I doubt you'll go down. But losing at home to us this year is criminal, we can't buy away wins for love nor money.
