If people are now thinking of driving from your end, leave early. You'll struggle for parking near the ground if you rock up in Lincoln after 1pm.

Another 1,000 spaces have opened up in the new Transport Hub, near the train station, which is a 10 minute walk.

Yup, Lincoln trains are some of those that are running. :)

Astonishing effort from everyone involved to be fair, extent of the fire looked like it’d probably close it for a few days at least.

Noble replaces Virtue, sounds like an aphorism

At risk of tempting fate, how is Elliott Whitehouse still a professional footballer, just assumed he would be playing locally in the Evo-Stik by now.

Finishes 2-2. Sounds like we had the better of the game but never mind.

I’ve got no issue with direct football, we’re more that kind of team than not, but that from Lincoln went beyond what’s reasonable imo. It’s not even the ones that aren’t given as fouls - when they know they’re not winning the ball they leave one on the defender every single time. Our back four could barely stand up by the end of it, was a heroic defensive display at the end with that in mind.

Great point, let’s get out of here.

Absolutely love this. Sorry you got kicked about by a dirty non-league team.

Physical game that.... Really physical. Resembled rugby at times. Notts couldn't get going second half after a good start. Shame really as we started well. Green played very well. Difference between the two sides at times. I'd love us to have a forward who can stretch the defence like that.

Jorge Grant summed up in a game. Kicked all day, struggled to get in the game and just pops up with a moment of class. We can't replace that if he goes

First half was entertaining. Second half was UFC which ruined it a bit

All about the result. We missed Yates but if we can keep grinding them out we will be fine. Brisley my man of the match.

Should have won that. Notts were on their arse in that final 10 minutes with nothing left in the tank and we had enough chances in the second half to win two games.

Two sides with no interest in playing football this afternoon. Ball smashed up the pitch, set piece, take set piece, ref blows for a foul. Repeat. All game.

We started very slowly and very much looked like a side with a CM playing CB and 3 of the four midfielders making their league debuts. We were all over the shop at times but got back into the game as the half wore on. Stead was winning FK after FK in the first half for very little.

I called a foul in the build up to Notts goal straight away, so it'll be interesting to see the replay of that. Good to get level straight from KO, although I couldn't tell you too much about who set Freck up.

Second half we were much, much better. Well worked goal from us. Their goal was their only shot in the second half I think, which was a mistake by us as Rhead and Bostwick both went for the same ball. Good finish, mind.

An absolutely pathetic referring performance. Nolan steps onto the pitch, waves and point his fingers at the ref, right in his face and stays on the touchline and from that point, we got fuck all. Cowley makes a point about a foul in the build up to Notts first goal, which on first viewing he has a point, and is sent off. It was a difficult game to ref with both sides having their fair share of experienced players who could manage a game but some of the decisions were absolutely baffling. Notts must have gone down 7 or 8 times in their area with apparent head injuries as well. Constantly looking for fouls.

I think we've had two decent shouts for a penalty, certainly one with Rhead when he gets on the right side of Jones as the cross comes in.

The best one, which admittedly was the linesman, was a ball played through, Palmer off side by half a yard, if that, Green runs onto the ball, plays it to Palmer who he and the defenders have since run past and is back onside and he's given offside (and scored).

What struck me about Notts was their lack of pace in the side. Stead doesn't move, Ameobi doesn't move, Hawkridge hasn't got great pace, Grant didn't show any sort of pace (although may have some, I don't know) and the two CB's were slow as well and were constantly getting caught out by Green all game. The only decent bit of pace they had was Jones at LB, who I've always liked as a player.

Probably would have taken a point before the game, but tinged with disappointment in the end.

The Palmer ‘goal’ was disallowed because Green shoved our defender over, I think, rather than offside.

Our lack of pace is a well known issue, is why we’re so much better at home because we can pin teams back. I was surprised that Ameobi came on rather than Forte as we needed someone who could run in behind to stop the ball keep coming back.

The injuries were real injuries, as well. One of our centre backs was so battered he had to go off with a couple of minutes left and Hewitt could barely move by the end. Heroic performance from him.

Think we’ll have our complaints about the refereeing as well. Woodyard in particular was incredibly lucky not to get a second yellow and I am convinced that Rhead fouls someone every time the ball goes near him but gets away with some just down to the law of averages.

Encouraging display with quite a few changes. Should have scored 4 or 5 today but missed some guilt edge chances. I would give the first half as evens but we dominated the second half, really sloppy defensive play for the second but he finished it well.

It was a really physical battle but one we came out on top of. Both teams went long and were agricultural.

I thought the referee was horrific, tough game to ref but he missed some really key decisions - I thought Sam was fouled in the build up to the first goal and there was the incident with Rhead and a handball from Bostwick's header.

Great for Freck to score and Rowe had a fantastic game, had their RB on toast, shame we didn't have Harry to take advantage.

If we ever play Notts County with even numbers on the pitch, we will batter them. Good and committed game from both sides. Such a shame that the rank incompetence of the referee prevented a just result.

These tweets from a neutral reporters sums the job up this afternoon.

Lincoln penalty appeal turned down. Dan Jones looked to have pushed Matt Rhead over but referee Ross Joyce gives nothing. Brilliant running commentary from Danny Cowley who is right next to us up in the press box. Still 1-1. Brilliant drama at Sincil Bank. #imps #notts

Referee Ross Joyce, not for the first time in his career, is losing control of this one. Not sure his performance this half will be as bad as the first but he's giving it a good go. Missing blatant fouls. #imps 1-1 #notts

Ross Joyce gets worse. Grant shoves Frecklington to the ground just as Lincoln were breaking on the counter. Yellow card. Looked like it should have been a red. Still 2-2. Just over five mins left. #imps #notts

Another shocker from Ross Joyce. Ball played into the Notts County box. Green controls but is pulled down. Joyce waves play on. #Imps finishing strong. 2-2.

FT: #Imps 2-2 #Notts County. Superb match at Sincil Bank. Lots of drama. Awful refereeing display by Ross Joyce unfortunately is the biggest talking point. One blatant penalty not given and a series of other woeful errors. 9,603 in attendance.

If that's what the ref gave it for, then it wasn't a foul.

I've seen the footage and Green's in front of the defender, who makes a last ditch jump for the ball and fouls Green, then Palmer nips in and scores.

Great point for us today didn' play well at all you can see why Lincoln are doing well at home with that second half performance so glad to get a point today and rhead was a lucky man for the elbow while on a yellow.

Enjoyed that good to have the derbies with Lincoln back. Their display before kick off was good but the atmosphere in the ground just didn't match what I expected from both sides. Remember trips to Lincoln always being a bit dicey today seemed very family friendly and they have grown as a club. Their style was very direct and it works first half was evenly matched but the second was totally one way traffic from Lincoln. Can see why they are up there. I am delighted with a point from that.

I think even the partially sighted Mr Joyce could see he got it wrong from this. Unless, of course, Nolan told him otherwise.

That's a terrible angle. From behind the goal, Green blatantly shoves Hewitt whilst he's jumping to knock him off balance. I'm not sure whether he needed to do it (would probably have got the ball anyway), but it was definitely a foul. Our goalkeeper and covering defender just stop as soon as it happens, which says it all.

I would agree that the ref was terrible but would focus on him booking Rhead early on and then being too scared to give him a second yellow despite four million fouls, not giving Woodyard a second yellow for completely clearing out Noble and booking Hawkridge despite him making absolutely no contact with the guy whatsoever. Almost like we focus on the things that have gone against our own team! :D

I try to view the game without the "my team" bias. Maybe he did miss some for both sides, but if anyone thinks he was even handed in todays game then they need to change their medication.
