Another day passes and still no closer to any more signings. With a week till our first friendly, we can barely field a team and what we do have is of really low quality and experience.

It’s really sad to see this club sinking into the abyss and people doing nothing to stop it.

Part of me wants to try and enjoy what will probably be our last season in the football league (once we go down under this ownership we won’t be back), but then another part of me thinks I just want it to be over rather than this slow death we have ahead of us over the next 10 months.

As pissed off as I’ve ever been leading into a season.

Uche was a beast. Strongest player I’ve seen and was harshly treated by Page after a red at Burton. A Donny player tried Rugby tackling him and he was holding Uches legs and was being dragged along as he kept running. Sadly his partner in crime Andoh did his ACL and he lost his way, them two were quality together but we only experienced it for a few weeks.

Uche has since been banging them in for Hearts actually... not sure if that’s a positive on him or a sign of the quality of the SPL mind!

Are Mansfield looking to get rid of Rose? I've only seen fleeting glimpses of him but I think there is a decent league 2 striker in there. He's only 5 ft 8 but I was quite impressed with him in the air, what are Mansfield fans thoughts on him?

I presume he's not going to be first choice now you have signed Cook and Maynard?

I rate Rose. He was poor last season but after the Summer he had with Evans trying to unsettle him he had a slow start and couldn't make an impact when given the chance from the bench. Still don't think him and Flitcroft seen eye to eye at all either.

He looks much happier at the moment and I hope he's kept here. He wants to stay and Dempster wants to keep him but if some team offers us 6 figures for our 3rd/4th striker currently then you'd be mad to not consider it as a 4th division team.

Was only the season before last he had 17 goals by the end of Feb before DF came in and he didn't score again, If he can find that form again then him Cook and Maynard could be a a real force for us next season.

Theres also Davies but he's not flown to Portugal with the rest of the squad so no idea whats going off with him.

They’re probably the best owners in the league, they’ve taken the club on leaps and bounds, all we’ve got to do is to look down the road at chesterfield and county to see what bad owners do.

Ballard sounds like he could be an excellent signing. I know most Arsenal fans are completely deluded but for them to believe he should be around their first team squad sounds very promising. Also called up to the Northern Ireland squad at 18 he must have something about him.

I like the Radfords. They are doing a great job for the club. Beyond paying for extragavant green spaces for the people of Mansfield they couldn't really do much more.

I have little doubt that the Radford's are excellent people and given some of the ropey owners in football, they seem to be going about running Mansfield Town in a positive way, that clearly their fans are right behind.

What does leave a sour taste in the mouth is that Carolyn, who is a front runner for successful business women in a largely male dominated sport, watched mainly by working class people, clearly wants to flaunt her significant wealth in such a ridiculous way that it almost comes across as rubbing the noses of the very fans that plough in their hard earned money into the club.

That video announcing the Maynard signing was beyond crass, the poor lad was clearly uncomfortable to be a part of the Carolyn ego massage in her ridiculous car.
