I’d be gobsmacked if that figure was anywhere close to accurate. Flitcroft should have the freedom of the city if it was. I was thinking £150-200k more like. Don’t get me wrong I like Ellis, he’s a nice player to have but let’s be honest we haven’t seen him since the first round of the League Cup and not exactly missed him.

If he wants to move and we make a profit it’s not the end of the world, as said we’ve not missed him and his injury record isn’t the best. Bar his goal against Rovers I don’t think he did anything since well before Christmas.

Player for player I’d certainly agree. I would just say from the Vale perspective they’ve been offered money for a player who I think has quickly become the third choice behind Wilson and Thomas and a chance to replace him with someone younger. Truth is since going to one up top Harrison just doesn’t work in that setup whether Loft is the answer.

Aye, to be honest when I see Wrexham mentioned it has to be taken somewhat with a pinch of salt as you coming back to the EFL has been an agents dream. By the end of this window if half of the stories were to be believed you’d have signed 90% of the EFL, PL, Serie A and La Liga. Good signing that though Armstrong.

I liked him when we had him, all be it in league 2.
