Had no joy at Goodwood today.

Last chance to recover my day is in the 7:20 at Galway where I've had Creggs Pipe, £4 e/w @ 9/1. Been backed into 7's since so I mustn't be the only one who fancies it to do well

That's turned a bad day into a nice profitable day. Flew out of the stalls and never looked back, great run

Was having a rubbish week but picked up £55 today with one at Goodwood and two at Galway.

Also fancied Thikriyatt this afternoon (probably the biggest feeling I've had on a horse all week), unfortunately backed it on a treble rather than a single :(

Cleaned up Goodwood so far, so pretty happy :). Hard day today though, but my boy Kimberella is running later. Tough task for him but he's bang in form. Should have won the dash at Epsom tbh

I've got bets on all over the place today to try and recover a poor week.

My outside each way tip for the day is Rivellino in the big one at Goodwood (15:45) and I reckon a good one on the nose might be Famous Milly in the 16:25 @ Galway

Fansy Parsnip at 2:50 at Newmarket...

Otherwise I've got a four timer of Shraaoh, Parnsip, Minding and Orions Blow who is in fantastic form.

Harry Bentley has said this morning that his best ride today is in the 2.35, Gold Faith, so doesn't sound great for Rivellino!

I'd prefer that. Any where there is a little bit of confidence never do well for me - prefer mine to be unmentioned until the important stages of the race

Can't quite believe I've spelt 'fancy' with an 's' there. Ruined my day before I lose any money.

I was happy to let that slide, but fair play for bringing it up yourself

Ew money on Nuno Tristan to start the day. A small win, but I'll take it

Murphy, I won't clog the Last Man Standing thread with horse racing comments so thought I would respond in here as it was a decent shout to be fair. However, having looked at the ground and the fact the horse didn't seem to like Good to Firm I stayed away from it :( did you back it?

Yes :(

Jumped on on Friday night when it was 9/1, thought the price would shorten (it did, into 6/1), but pipped on the line unfortunately. Won't have a bet this week but I'll keep an eye on Go On Go On Go On, features at Bath 18:50 on Wednesday.

Did you back it to win then?

How's everyones Ebor doing so far? Took about £80 yesterday from £5 level stakes per race with a couple of L15's mixed in. Not a big win but I'll take it and it funds the rest of the festival. Bit of a crossbar day with me reasonably heavily on Mutakayyef in the Juddmonte, and I think he might have done it if Hanagan had actually cut inside and not let Atzeni cut him off.

Today I'm going for something like...

1.55 - Rainbow Mis 8/1 ewt, Stormy Clouds 10/1 e/w
2.30 - Fair Eva obvs, but not worth backing on her own
3.05 - One More Word 8/1 e/w, Chil the Kite 16/1 e/w
3.40 - Found 2/1 (have Seventh Heaven in a trixie though)
4.20 - Anzhelika 8/1 e/w (small play)

I didn't look at the horses yesterday but had a little win on the football last night so will use some of those to have a dabble at York today

I wrote 'Queen Kindly / Roly Poly' next to the 14:30 at York but talked myself out of betting on this race

Good work if you ask me

Absolutely praying for rain with todays selections, but the forecast is for rain. Not sure if there's been any overnight?

1.55 - Moonmeister 13/2 e/w, might play Mijhaar (16/1) if the market likes it, will love any rain
2.30 - Clever Cookie 4/1 absolutely loves it round York, he's 4 from 7 at the course, 2 miles will suit and any rain at all will be good
3.05 - Forge 5/1, Mr Stoute is in great form as usual and horse progressive type, only beaten by really good horses recently and will stay for the finish
3.40 - Meccas Angel 6/1, fucking rain dance baby. Been disappointing really this season, but looked back to form last time out in Ireland. If she's back to something like her best, she will make mincemeat of these IMO. Another is Profitable 6/1 who will be absolutely praying for rain. One of the better sprinters in training, has gotten the better of a few of these recently, especially when storming the July Cup. If there's no rain, I'll be having a go on Goldream 12/1 or Take Cover 16/1.

Couldn't be arsed to start a new thread re dog racing buy I have 2 running at Swindon this lunchtime.

12.57 and 13.11 (i think those times are right) Ballymac Magic and Droumeragh Lucy. Both have decent chances but are by no means certs.

I've had a friendly £20 win double

Just checked the early prices on Bet365 - 9/2 and 5/1. Jesus they both shouldn't be that big!
