Tonight has been about as bad as it gets for us. I'm just waiting for someone to run over the cat now, that would top it all off.

Win at Chester on Friday and we're 2 behind them with a tough trip to Aldershot for the Imps. Take one game at a time but I'm really up for Chester now (queue inevitable 'TV performance').
Mickey Mellon clearly watering the pitch last night to keep you fresh for the telly, Disgraceful.

Back to back clean sheets, 4 (FOUR!) unbeaten, out the relegation zone, I didn't know it was 1st April!

Not great for sutton or solihull either, they need to look over their shoulders xx

Er, we won 1-0 against Boreham Wood tonight. 7 points clear of the last relegation place with games in hand and looking like we break into a good run of form...

Damn you all giving us false hope again.

The sooner we're out of this pretend play off hunt the better for my sanity.

We were awful. Title gone now I think. Form has gone at the wrong time. Got to be careful we don't slip out of the play offs

Congratulations to Eastleigh for scraping a draw against our TEN men. And thanks for time wasting when you equalised.

Shame we couldnt hang on, but definitely a point gained in the circumstances (especially with Dover and Barrow both losing to bottom 6 teams)

Too many players had poor games tonight. Far too many. Think that's the worst I've seen from Nathan Arnold, Matt Rhead and Alex Woodyard within a 90-minute space. Having Arnold in the two up top was madness and probably didn't help.

However, congratulations to York on their best result of the season, a heroic defensive effort, particularly second half. I hope they can bridge the eight point gap to safety. Great fans.

When does his loan end? Given our other strikers have about 2 goals between them since November I'll imagine he'll be recalled.

Saturday against Southport is his last game I think, I'll be hoping you win your game 6-1, a hattrick each for 2 of your strikers, coupled with a win for us then.

What a bloody great result for us tonight. Rode our luck at times. Poke made a great save to tip one onto the bar and Ricky Modeste missed a sitter for Dover in the first-half. We took our chance when it came from an excellent move. I thought our defence, despite having conceded 64 league goals and renowned for being terrible at defending any sort of delivery into the box, dealt superbly with Dover's awful hoof ball, it played into our hands in the last 15 minutes.

'Part-time', penniless Dover - I wouldn't watch them every week if someone paid me to. Hit the channels at every opportunity or smash it at Lafayette for Miller to chase. They'd completely ran out of ideas, not that then had any others apart from the one just stated, when they were chasing the game late on. 30-goal Ricky Miller kept out by Woking, if you don't laugh, you'll cry.

Haha. Garry Hill will certainly recall him, sorry. You can have Chris Arthur if you want? He's a REALLY GOOD left-back...

I know football fans can sometimes be biased or partisan when it comes to supporting their team, but I can genuinely say, I have never seen a worse refereeing performance that what I saw tonight, and firmly believe that the referee should be subject to an FA investigation.

Braintree were awarded a penalty in the 4th minute when Flitney came out, but stayed on his feet. The Braintree player flipped over as he hung a leg to deliberately make contact with Flitney. Penalty and 0-1.

In the 15th minute, Lee Minshull tried to make a block tackle when Lee of Braintree played the ball across the pitch. The type of challenge that you see time and time again every game, somehow the referee produces a red card. I heard him say to the Bromley bench that the challenge was over the top of the ball, which was complete and utter nonsense.

Half an hour in, Johnson is sent off and a penalty is awarded after another theatrical fall after the ball is played across the six yard box. If he played the ball, it should be only a yellow, but with a red card, the referee must have deemed he didn't play the ball. I can confirm he didn't play the man either.

Neil Smith is then sent off, presumably for something he said, and further words are had with the Bromley bench. Meanwhile, Jordan Higgs is clattered in the side of the head late heading a high ball and not even a yellow is produced. Then Jack Holland runs down the left, tackled late from behind, but stays on his feet, advantage played, but no card.

In the second half, Blair Turgott is racing down the right hand side, clear shirt pull and should be a yellow card, foul given, but no card. Connor Dymond is clattered late, foul given but no card.

Five minutes from time, Dymond clearly wins the ball in front of the Braintree dugout, who go crazy and Braintree players surround the referee for the umpteenth time. Initally, the referee was shouting for Bromley number 8 to come over, not realising that's Minshull who he sent off in the first half. It took three Bromley players to persuade him number 8 wasn't even on the pitch. Somehow Dymond is booked. Gayle was sent off for pushing a Bromley player over in the melee that ensued. It was a second yellow after he had already been booked.

Soon after, it's full time, and a lower than usual crowd wonder what on Earth they have just witnessed.

Side note: Saturday really is going to be massive in the relegation scrap, all 8 I'd say are most likely to go down are playing each other:

Maidstone V Southport
NFU V Woking
Torquay V Guiseley
York V Eastleigh

So did the referee have a good game then?

Let's put it this way, if you ever see the name David Rock on the back of the programme before kick off, start wondering what he is going to manufacture to make sure he is the star of the show.

Glad to see karma got you back quickly after your players antics of rolling around, surrounding the referee and getting one of our players sent off.

Frustrated, should have won. We played so well, even with 10 men we were the better side. Luckily for Eastleigh they should have just enough but they were the poorest team I've seen this season, if we'd have kept 11 on the pitch we'd have walked that. I thought ot was a red although it was on the other side of the pitch so hard to tell.
Great turn out from us, find it very hard to believe there was 1900 home fans though?!
Unbeaten in 10, cant wait for Saturday.

yep they got a bit of payback after getting away with murder at our place. however, i do hate it when i see those instances where a team has had to play with 9 against 11 for most of the match due to sendings off. it's farcical. there's got to be a better way.

Sounds like 'one of those games' last night.

Making all 3 subs by the second half didn't give us too much room to change things later in the game, although it appears we were pretty dominant in the second half anyway after we'd changed back to the formation we'd been using all season. Not sure why we changed it for the first half.

League game 32 and at the end of February, and we've still not really sorted the striker situation out. Not got that quite right all season. We've got Marriott, who has the footballing brain and can finish but doesn't have the pace or strength, Muldoon who has pace but not the footballing brain or finishing. Margetts coming back is a bit of an average hybrid of those two but not really someone who'd head up a title winning side IMO.

Decent attendance of 7k-ish, as well. More than I thought they'd be.

People seemed half impressed with York but alot noted how their fitness levels dropped quite dramatically in the second half. Another draw for them, and whilst that's ok up to a point, at this stage of the season, they need to be going for wins not sitting back for a point. On paper, they're solid enough with Newton, Parkin, Oliver etc.

One might think Danny Cowley METICULOUSLY planned Lincoln's draw at home to bottom-of-the-table York.

A good night for FGR and Tranmere without playing last night. 2 points dropped or one gained, it was a tough game. After the first half showing, probably happy to at least get a point though maybe couldn't have got another with us dominant in the second half.

It's going to be hard at Aldershot that's for sure.

What a limp way to bow out of play-off contention. Didn't think Guiseley did a lot, to be honest - they had a 5-minute spell coming down our right, which somehow resulted in one cross being diverted into the net. We should have put any one of about 5 goal line scrambles or clear-cut chances away, but it just wasn't our night.
We weren't good - we were poor, and one-dimensional: we found a tactic of playing it direct down the middle and hoping Hannah could run on to it, and never deviated from it. But we really should have won comfortably.

We didn't 'do alot' after scoring because we didn't have to. We defended the lead doggedly and looked to counter. Had you scored of course it would have been very different.
After scoring early v Ferriby we were hell bent on scoring more and got caught out. That silly mentality was never going to happen against you - lesson learned.
