No idea, but I'm happy for a mod to do it!Can't you change that thread title to fuck off Salford, Plumbob?
You might be seeing them the following season if they buy their way out of L2....
My instinct is they’ll get to league one and then struggle to go any further, like Fleetwood. I bloody hope so anyway,
Victors of the famous 'behind closed doors' playoff final of 2019.
When they offer 5 million for Marquis I’ll riotFleetwood had the Vardy money to spend. Salford have a bottomless pit. Expect another documentary, blanket fawning coverage on Sky, deluded fans who don’t even know why they’re called ‘The Ammies’, plenty of bovver at the ground with the home fans and a couple of £500,000 bids for your best players. They will only fuck off in one direction and it ain’t the one in which they belong.
What confirmed for me the dislike for this mob was seeing i think Jobi McAnuff jumping up and down on the Orient pitch chanting Fook off Salford on the final day.
Hence the disclaimer of ' i think 'It was Macaulay Bonne you massive racialist.
I get it won't be popular but I have no issue with Salford being promoted, most clubs seem to be running at a loss, being supported by an owner who is rich enough (or not in some cases) to sustain those losses. They've just got richer owners than most. Of course it's frustrating for those that are attempting to run a sustainable football club but these clubs seem to be few and far between.
As for this crying over losing Notts County and gaining Salford, who gives a shit? Notts probably had one of the biggest budgets at this level and they fucked it up, that isn't Salford's fault.
In the grand scheme of things all the clubs at this level are small time and lack an appeal to the wider football audience, the Salford story will hold more of an appeal to the masses so Sky will get behind it. It's not a fairy tale, far from it but there's an interesting narrative there.

we arent overspending though

But, them being replaced by either Salford or Fylde is shit. 2 teams that couldnt muster a 5-figure crowd between them for the biggest games in boths history.
You or I take a subscription to sky and/or bt for our football fix. Gary and the gang pick up another rich fella and get a plaything.
he put in "directors loans" which we didnt need, and cant tell where they went, however when the sale went through last week we had no debt. We have no idea where the £2.5m in transfers over the last 2 seasons went though.I don't know the ins and outs of your finances. But generally speaking most clubs are running beyond their means and are making losses. If Vale are one of the few to be running sustainably then fair play (and I referenced these clubs in my initial post).
I just searched "Port Vale finances" on google, top link says the last set of accounts showed that your owner was owed 2.8m from the club. As I said, I have no idea how Vale are run but it'd appear at some point in the past he's needed to balance the books with his own money but I could obviously be wrong about that.
