We've got Jazzi Barnum Bobb playing for us on trial. I hope we sign him purely on the strength of his name.
Personally I’d like to see us sign him because it would be amusing to see Red Passion tackle it week in week out. Last season you would’ve sworn we had players such as Beacon and Fonlop playing for us..

Got a Rochdale v Bury programme from 1981 ish where the visiting custodian was listed as Leville Southall...

Was one of those frustrating players where he'd show glimpses of quality in the occasional game but would be useless most of the time. Got sent off for a stupid tackle as well. Looked ok for Chelmsford when they played against us last season but nothing special. Worth a punt as a backup maybe in case he's decided to knuckle down and better himself but otherwise can't see he'd be good enough for a team like yours.

Sounds like a typical National League full back to be honest. I remember that Ekpetita (I’m doing that from memory and I’m sure it’s wrong) against us. He was an absolute liability defensively and was lucky not to get sent off, but I’m sure he would’ve had good games too throughout the season as he was their first choice right-back in a championship winning season. That’s why the majority of players are down here, inconsistency.

That would have been Sam Ling that played at RB against you last season.
Injured most of the time so hard to say if he was first choice.

Adam McDonnell has signed for Boreham Wood. Good signing for them, at least we should get some compensation.

No it was the guy I said. I looked him up, he played 40 times for you last season apparently (and also looks like he’s had quite an eventful month). He scored the flukey deflected winner, but should have been sent off with continuous mistimed tackles before that. I don’t actually remember seeing Ling.

Allen has been around loads of clubs at this level now. One of those players who easily impresses at first viewing as he's a box of tricks and a great dribbler, but over a few games you realise that his end product is zilch.

Sam Magri has gone from Ebbsfleet to Havant. To think he left us to go onto bigger things !

We've signed a winger by the name of Nassim L’Ghoul

The quintessential National League winger. Lightning fast feet and good speed from a standing start, but he is vulnerable to the wind knocking him over and like you say, very little end product. He is a positive direct player though, always adds some much needed energy to the game.

L’Ghoul was decent for Welling and provides plenty of pace and is decent cutting in from the right on his stronger foot, though he does look about 12 and is very slight and easy to bully out of games. Fits in nicely with the discussion above as he's quite similar to Iffy Allen, but with a bit more end product.

Maidstone have also signed Nana Kyei, hit and miss winger who can look very good cutting in from the left one week but is anonymous the next. That'll be the Barnet winger that was linked with Maidstone last week.

His hair already annoys me.

Yep that's exactly our experience of Iffy Allen.

Fuck knows why Sam Jones has dropped back into non league, easily good enough to play in the Football League, was excellent for us before Slade decided to get rid of any player we had with any footballing ability.

Boreham Wood sign striker Kabongo Tshimanga from Oxford City

Cracking business for them. Cannot believe we and others in this league have let him slip. IMO he is already L2 standard at least and proved it with his hat trick against Tranmere.

Wood have also signed Piero Mingoia, another great signing for them today.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Wood have a sustainable financial set-up,and are attracting quality players with decent contracts. Modelled on Burton Albion, and probably heading the same way, like it or not.

That’s another very strong signing - he’s class and stood out at L2 level.

Very irritated that these two were available and we haven’t got at least one of them. Both are needed desperately.
