It's one fucking game you dolt. Are you just upset at every side that finished above you last season? Cos that's a lot of teams to have a grudge against.

Lot of positives there for Chelsea deserved winners in the end, was a tough game for West Ham but thought they were really poor in an offensive sense. Looks like Hazard could be coming back to his best and under Conte can see Chelsea being entertaining to watch. Costa his usual hot head very fortunate to still be on the pitch, can sympathise with West Ham there.

Well they were without Feghouli, Ayew went off and Payet didn't start and isn't fully fit. It's not much surprise that they weren't at the races up front.

Yeah but the problems were in the midfield, where there wasn't a player who's able to handle the possession and create something good. Nordtveit's debut is terrifying.

Not the result I was hoping for, and someone has to tell super Slav that Antonio is not a bloody right back! ah well, Bournemouth up next.

We were very poor- to be honest it could've been three or four in the end. Payet most definitely should've started; he was fit as he played half of the Juventus game. Nortdveit and Ayew were poor, in fact we were poor all round with only Collins and Carroll having decent games, Chelsea were deserved winners, onwards and upwards for Bournemouth.

It's one game. It'll take a while before our line-up is settled, and with the new additions I couldn't tell you right now our best eleven. There were potentially eight or so best eleven players missing yesterday.

Antonio did unexpectedly well last season when pushed back into defence, which shouldn't be forgotten and credit where's due, but I was hoping there would be a new rightback by now if they reckoned Byram wasn't ready/hasn't got it. It's still the position with the biggest question mark on it, unless Masuaku has got a decent right foot and can move over there when Cresswell returns. Byram needs to prove he can be trusted or has the ability.

Nordtveit (and Obiang) is obvious squad filler for Noble and Kouyate, and I hope the appearance of Valencia was as token as Nolan's one appearance under Bilic last season before he's sold.

Well, we're in a new stadium and haven't returned to Upton Park after an away game at Chelsea, so yeah it is a new era.

Unless you thought that a new era means we'll never ever lose another game?

Yes, WHU performance wasn't good, but I didn't see a lot of clear chances for the opposite side as well. They played better, pushed more, kept the ball... sure... but I don't remember any Adrian save. So, if you don't create clear chances to score, you may not win the game, and that was almost happening. Indeed, WHU could come home with 1 point in the rank and no one would've been complaining. Also, do you think it was right to keep the scorer of the winning goal on the pitch after the foul on Adrian? Lucky guy...

I like Bilic post-match analysis. It's very unbiased, clear and without complaints to the referee for the controversial decisions. Thumbs up for his attitude.

That's true, but we gave it away too much and didn't look good going forward into Payet came on(about 60 mins too late). They didn't look great at all but we were worse, having said that Costa definitely should've been sent off for that disgusting challenge on Adrian which would've changed the game so we were slightly hard done by in that respect.

Non yellow for Costa (which honestly people all over the interwebz are making the tackle seem a lot worse than it was just because it's Costa) evens out the Penalty that I think it was Oscar? Didn't get

Nah. Oscar tried to buy that. Could have been given but the ref obviously decided he went down under minimal contact rather than the contact actually impeding him. Costas was a straight red challenge.
