Aside: Swansea Away - 100 of us in Spoons at Neath opposite train station last night - Well received and good pub stop for those travelling this season. Neath looks a tough town and bit on its uppers. Footnote: Don't go into Big Gap pub next door!

Loads of us heading there by train Saturday, we got 150 less than you on our allocation so they could put extra segregation though so I think they're anticipating a bit of trouble. We're getting in early so hopefully we can pick and choose where we drink rather than just getting shoved in a pub outside the station like the Heddlu have done before to our fans.

Remember a few years ago, maybe 2009?

Arrived in Swansea about 11. A large group of Swansea walked out the hotel bar opposite. Obviously been waiting for the first train load to arrive. Few words and handbags, police turned up, fucked the Swansea lot off and shoved us in the hotel bar until about 2pm when we were then stuck on a load of busses to the stadium.

One of the strangest and shittest away days I’ve had.

1,079 Wigan. Decent all things considered, would have come close to selling the full 1,500 if the match wasn't on TV.

You had an element who purported to be bringing it.

Already sold 1400 away to Sheff Wed which is more than what we took in the league last winter. Cheap tickets to thank for that.

It's a competition you can realistically go for this season.

Looked about 200 Millwall fans at S6 tonight.

Just read many are buying em just for the priority points and don't intend coming. Any truth in it, do you know?

Possibly, I'm going myself for the fact that I actually want to go and that I do need a few extra loyalty points (also not visited Hillsbrough since George Ndah fucked his leg up for the 20th time and finally retired). I went to 8 aways last season and still it wasn't enough to get me a Leicester ticket last week. I only just got a ticket for the West Ham game a week on Saturday but they sold out an hour after I got mine.

I'll be honest I never understand why people buy cup tickets purely to get points with zero intention of actually going. If you're that driven to get loyalty points to go to as many aways as possible, surely you should attend the games you're actually paying for?

I'd love a cup run but I can't see it, to be honest I think you'll beat us... Atleast you can preview Danny Batth's oil tanker esc turning circle before you loan him.

Yeah from memory there was definitley handbags that ended up in some alleyway alongside the newsagents. Bottles, stones thrown etc and think the swing sign outside the shop too at one point went backwards and forwards.

Still, the hotel bar was pleasant enough. Just a shame didn’t get a chance to sample any of Swansea’s other delights.

If I’d planned an away day and it ended up being televised I wouldn’t give a shit I’d still go, watching on tv is absolute arse compared to actually being there cheering the boys on.
In our Conference days we were away on tv all the time but we still took big numbers to most games, relatively speaking of course not big numbers compared to your Championship figures but big for the league we were in.

Second this, drank in Neath nearly ten years ago and found a decent boozer near the station which surprisingly served us English. Met some sound Swansea supporters over the years, despite them ripping up Elm Park when I was a young lad and I still haven't got over them beating us at Wembley in 2011!

A bit poor for you imo.

I agree, we never took as few as that on a saturday to the likes of Oldham, rochdale in our league 1 days. At £32 a ticket though I always think unless were at the top of the league people will just not pay it.

Have the home tickets at Bolton shot up as much as the away tickets this year? One of the cheapest trips at £20 a head last season, we had just shy of 5k there, £30 this year midweek and £32 on a weekend? It’s a thoroughly shit away day, compounded now by these daft prices.

Edit: 1965 Blues at Forest yesterday (S/O)

Was £35 for us in the upper, and £30 in the lower tier last season. It was a live game too.
