Harris out for the rest of the season, huge blow.

Not too downbeat as I can't see Forest Green being as lucky if we played them in playoffs. Dominated start to finish, should have scored plenty. Debateable whether their number 6 should have seen red for trying to injure James Wallace (after Harris went off), don't want to sound bitter so I'll leave that there.

Important to bounce back Friday and if nothing else get the measure of Aldershot.

Seems you're just as big a tit as your team, reiterate what I said above and hope we play you in playoffs.

Don't let Facebook spats spill over onto here, though, eh? I quite like this merry little tinpot band of waifs and strays as it is.

I don't get involved with said spats, I'd rather the result did the talking just funny that I know most of them won't be waking up happy tomorrow! Which makes me happy!

Chin up mate when you win at Wembley in May this will all be forgotten about.
Struggling to bring myself to drive home, let alone think about play offs. I don't remember a sickener like that in a long time, especially with so much riding on it. Fair play to FGR, they defended heroically for 90 minutes.

Some really bizarre tentative finishing from us, Connor Jennings twice passed it to their keeper from 8 yards when it was an open goal. Almost as if we were finding it too easy to carve them open and getting a bit casual.

the only thing i'd say is that us returning to our usual profligacy at home isn't really forest green being lucky. making plenty good chances and failing to take them has been a recurring theme at prenton park all season (barring one very peculiar anomaly) and sometimes we've gotten away with it, other times like tonight we haven't.

but hey, when brabin was here, we didn't even make the chances so...progress init

As I mentioned, I think it was over confidence. It might actually give us a reality check and get us firing all cylinders again.

Undeserved win for Forest Green, but well, our own fault for missing all those chances. The vegans grew into the game more as it went on and, to be fair I actually felt they finished the stronger. They had two chances all game (both in the last 10 minutes), Davis saved the first but they took the second. And that was that. Congrats to Lincoln, I'm off to get drunk.

Such a frustrating night but after all the chances we missed the sucker punch almost seemed inevitable. Our record against the top teams this season is terrible and as soon as a bigger crowd turn up we seem to bottle it which doesn't bode well for our playoff hopes!

I think it'd be unfair to suggest our players bottled it tonight and assume that's just referring to previous years. Some big performances out there, just lacking a bit of composure infront of goal.

We're already guaranteed playoffs and need 3 points to guarantee a home leg second. But even Lincoln still have to play Macc / Gateshead so I hope our players fight to the end and make Lincoln at least work for it. Don't want to drift into the playoffs.

Very unsexy tonight, but the champions elect yet again get the job done.

You can't win the title purely on 93rd minute luck, that's tonight lesson boys and girls.

Should be Lincoln's now but I've seen stranger things happen. Tranmere winning 4/4 and Lincoln winning 3/5 is improbable but not impossible.

I'm just waiting for the bitter comments about our away support tonight which for a Tuesday night I don't think is bad at all!

Obviously couldn't hear you, but good numbers. Highly respectable indeed

I can't believe it - we won a home game for the first time in months!! Maidstone were a decent side to be fair and unlucky that we finally decided to turn up for a home game. Good support from Maidstone on a Tuesday night as well. Our fans seem to have finally woken up to the fact that we're one of the most poorly run clubs in the country by an absentee owner waiting (and hoping) for us to go bust - unless this changes I think there will be many more sub-1000 gates to come.

Fair play Forest Green, cracking result. I know there's been a lot of talk about you boys not turning up for the 'big' games over the last couple of years so that should put that to bed.

Aldershot need a result there too fancy them to get something, Waddock's a very good manager at this level

I am not sure they actually turned up tonight, but we helped them out by trying to walk the ball into the net.

We outplayed them in the first half, but the injury to Jay Harris affected us and allowed them to get a foothold in the game. Not hugely surprised by the result given our poor record against the top teams this season.

Still not completely over and I just hope the defeat does not affect confidence too much.

Fair play Lincoln, it looks like you've done it. Well done, hopefully see you next season.

No complaints from me tonight, FGR produced an almost textbook away performance and we wasted our chances.

Our record against the top 5 is P7 W0 D2 L5, just not good enough at the end of the day. Lottery of the playoffs, oh the joys.
