Sean Maguire & Kevin O'Connor have officially completed their moves from Cork to North End.

Maguire has bagged 24 goals in Ireland and the Europa League Qualifiers this season, hopefully he can hit the ground running.

Triple it and we'll talk. Plenty of time left on his contract, so we have absolutely no need to sell.

We already have a load of midfielders, and it's more a beast type I think we need so would be surprised at this. Would much rather take Harlee Dean off them!

Apparently had a £4m bid for Tomer Hemed turned down the other day. Sounds like Brighton won't even consider selling him unless they bring in two strikers.

They gave Baldock a new deal & haven't seen much transfer business being done they might just try to survive with what they got

Looking possible that Diogo Jota could be permanent rather than a loan, but it would be for €20m, again breaking the transfer record.

I really hope it goes tits up, no offence.

Hearing that a couple of clubs are being looked at by the NCA and even deeper but that could be bollocks, person who told me was bang on in the past.

I understand why people want it to go tits up for us, I admit that if it was happening to another club who are seemingly buying promotion I'd want them to monumentally fuck it up too.

I don't buy into the rumours that we are going to fail FFP though, or that our owners are commiting any criminal offence. The reason we're only loaning him rather than shelling out 20m is to work around FFP restraints. I'm not sure if there is evidence to prove we are doing anything illegal. However if it does go horribly wrong then we will deserve everything that will come to us.

Is what were doing any worse than what Man City are doing for example, ableit to a much smaller scale?

You've not exactly been that shy on the spending front yourselves

We haven't, but nowhere near this level and we are partially self financing it by ticket prices aren't we?

It is not the money to be honest it's the underhand use of Mendes which is blatant, players being slaved to Wolves, I mean come on these poor fuckers will have to live in the horrific West Midlands where men are men and women are men, where English is spoken with an accent that makes you wish your were deaf.

Plus I still hate John De Wolf

Got no problem with clubs financing, or trying to,get promotion. Where would Muff be without their Russian oligarch - in the fucking gutter where they belong the shaggers! Poxy bucket rattlers.

The Championship since we got out of it, has been making what we did look like a shoestring. 3m for Callum Wilson, 500k for Yann Kermorgant - utterly utterly blown out the water!

It's a good job we did it when we did because there's no way we'd have been able to compete with the money being thrown around now down here.

No worse than Man City, but I don't think anyone likes them much either!

As long as you don't fail FFP, then you are entirely within your rights to do what you want. The thing that annoys me most is that some clubs still haven't been punished for failing FFP, and it makes a mockery of the rest of us that they haven't.

Says the man who claimed that the easiest way to get money out of China was to buy English football clubs. How does that work then??? :bg1:

I'll pass on your rumours for a while. Worse than HITC and Football League World, mate.

Yeh you would. And you will when you're back.

When we're back we'd have parachute payments for a couple of years, totally different funding to that season. Not to mention our ownership is different now.

That season was a freak, we had nowhere near an automatic budget, a good budget that failed FFP as it was at the time because our gates are small, but we never expected to win the flippin league.

Bold move by Reading tbh. Hemed is great in this division. I think he won't do well in the PL and he'll be back in the Championship next January. Wuld be happy to see him at Wolves. Although he knows fuck-all Portuguese.

That was kind of my point. (I accidentally deleted my original post, I think)

I understand this view. I have been somewhat more guarded in what I have said, but I do wonder how the relationship can be in the clubs' interests.
I am not saying it's a conflict of interest, but I don't see how it's not.

Why? There's a lot of players that have fucked you over, bigly, down the years.

Do you hate John de Wolf as much as we love Chris Waddle?

Sunderland will replace Defoe with Lewis Grabban. Hmmm. Confusion as to whether it's a buy or a loan.

Obviously only based on a few games but Grabban look poor when I saw him for Reading last season.

Can't help but think it was a one-off purple patch a few seasons ago.

Hopefully they are ready to announce the Steve Bull regen they've been working on, then we are mostly set I think.

He's alright, not really good enough for a team looking for promotion, but he'll do a job.

Must have played over 15 games here but I could not tell you, and would struggle to find a Reading fan who could tell you what his strengths are and what his game is about.

Still a better Championship striker than Vydra though..

Lundstram from Oxford confirmed. 3-year deal.

Connor Ripley mentioned as a possible signing due to an injury to Simon Moore in the last friendly.

Lewis Grabban was fucking mince for us, let's not kid ourselves. Looked completely lost and didn't turn up at all in the play-off final.
