Someone hid in the bushes outside our training ground yesterday and managed to snap a picture of Haji Wright doing his media duties prior to announcement. Still waiting on it to be made official by the club though.
There's talk that we might be looking at Jake Bidwell. We tried to sign him a few years ago but he chose QPR instead. He's not, quick or attacking enough to play LWB properly is he? More a traditional full back? Plus he's 30 now.

Same agent as Ryan Lowe and born close enough to Liverpool for him to join our scouse little gang.

Us and Swansea also linked to Alex Bangura from Camburr, 24yr old LWB, Sierra Leone international. Seems too agent-led and unrealistic to me. Seems us and Swansea both use the same recruitment firm, Market Insights.

Ben Chrisene on loan from Villa is another name mentioned. Sounds like we're scrambling for a LWB.

Bidwell is decent, just not spectacular. There is some talk we tried to move him on in Jan so may try again this summer, although he was fairly important in one of the best defences in the league last season so it’s a bit of an odd one. We‘ve played him at both LWB and LCB but never in a back four, although I’d imagine he’d be decent in one. He’s a lot better defensively than he is going forward.

Certainly wouldn't be unhappy if we signed him, but a young, attacking loan would be my preference.

Sounds like Ben Davies is getting booted out of Rangers, talk of bringing him back here but I don't see how we can afford him, he's on £30k a week, so we wouldn't even get close in terms of a loan deal. I imagine Alex Neil and Stoke will be all over it if there is room in the budget.

Quality player at this level, especially in a back three, a bit too weak and perhaps soft for a back four at times as he can get get bullied by big strikers. I remember that Nuhiu for Sheff Wed, who looked more suited to playing darts, coming off the bench and absolutely raping him.

Looks like we’re getting Luke Cundle from Wolves. What’s he like? 7 goal contributions in 32 games isn’t bad.

Norwich fans will be disappointed to lose Aarons

Mind you they are getting 12 million for him from Leeds apparently!

Another new signing for the Owls, 6 ft 6 centre mid Momo Diaby from Portimonese.

Brother of the ex Arsenal player, hopefully got a better injury record..

Wish Everton would make a decision on Tom Cannon. So tiresome.

Going to Leeds as part of the Gnonto deal is a possibility i'd guess.

With Everton needing money, I presume they're holding out to see if anyone panics and offers £5/£6m to sign him permanently.

If it's a loan, then I think he comes here, but no chance we compete for a permanent signing if clubs like Leeds, Stoke, or Sunderland decide to spend.

We should be announcing 18 year old winger Djeidi Gassame from PSG soon. Apparently we have paid a €1m fee. Crikey.

Sounds like we'll know if Tom Cannon is coming here on loan by close of play on Wednesday, but who knows.

Unless we bring in a LWB on a permanent basis then i'm not bothered about signing one personally. Kian Best is obviously raw and naive but he looks a class prospect to me. I'd rather develop our own player than just bring in another kid on loan from a Prem side who will probably be prone to the same mistakes anyway.

Over a full season I guarantee Best will clock up more goals and assists than Fernandez did last season, his corners are quality. Probably make the same amount of defensive errors too.

Same people whingeing about us needing a LWB are the same ones who slag the club off for relying on loans and developing other club's players.

Everton boss Sean Dyche’s frustrating wait to sign a striker has put Tom Cannon’s exit on hold.

Dyche hoped to have a new forward in time for the next game but a move for Leicester’s Patson Daka is taking longer than hoped and expected.

Instead Dyche has been left with thin options and that means a deadline on Cannon going to Preston on Wednesday may be extended.

Cannon played a half in a closed door game at Manchester United but will have to wait for word to go. He was an unused sub for the first team last weekend.

Fuck me, just move on now.

Uche Ikpeazu being linked. What’s the point of signing players that have consistently proven to be shit at the level? At least to for a young lad or gamble on a foreigner

I agree in essence but Chuba Akpom had a similar poor record at this level until given a chance by Boro, perhaps we could get similar luck.

I remember he was at Reading then we got him as a young kid - “ next bright thing” and all that .

Not sure he ever played ?

Aye, Ikpeazu is shite, strong as fuck and pretty mobile, hence why Boro took a punt on him but he's pretty talentless.

Surprised Gareth Ainsowrth isn't trying to re-sign him.

Finally signed Christ Tiehi after a month of wrangling with the Home Office trying to get his work permit.

He had a successful spell personally during Wigan's fight to avoid relegation and was due to join them permanently for a for of around 900,000 Euros.

This fell through due to their relegation and we stepped in to get him for a club record fee thought to be around £650,000 to £700,000. (That's huge for us lol)

He has been training so although obviously not match fit, he does know the other players and could well play a part at Sunderland tomorrow, where we attempt to get a 3rd straight double yellow card sending off!
Followed quickly by yet another apology from the Refs association.

Blackburn Rovers, QPR and Preston want to sign Hertha Berlin's 20-year-old German striker Derry Scherhant on loan
Usual three club link, not sure if there's anything in it.

Yes he did so there was a lot of hype when he came which probably only made his disappointing performances worse.

Maybe it’s just us !
It's a note of caution to be sure, but I don't think we should write him off after a bad time at a club as dysfunctional as Watford. See also, Ozan Tufan who got a hattrick for us two games ago and is playing out of his skin.

Fuck knows how much Stoke have spent this summer, their wage bill must be massive.

Just signed an Algerian international from Sampdoria and a guy from Serbia today, must have made about ten signings.

Yes true !

And our injury record is awful even less prone to issues players pick them up .

Trouble was I think we expected him to come in and score loads of goals too despite not having a good record of finding the net .

As you say having 3 very different managers probably doesn’t help !
