We were gutted not to get him. No, honestly, absolutely fucking destroyed. I was on Fluoxetine for six weeks trying to come to terms with it.

In a season when we had the high strike-rates of Jake Cassidy, Leon Clarke and Liam McAlinden, we felt we needed more aimless, vacuous torpor up front to wander around looking helpless.

Has it occurred to you that strikers of the calibre of JCH go to clubs like Rotherham because they know they will get a game.
There's zero evidence that Jackett was ever remotely interested in JCH. Or are you someone who believes everything that's in the papers?

Remember, JCH was the record signing of your manager, the corpulent drag-queen you idolise.
JCH then was so fucking brilliant, so fucking stellar in his Rotherham performances in front of the massed non-scab Rotherham ex-miner capacity crowds that he lasted the whole 90 minutes just once in 16 appearances before being loaned out to European Champions Oldham and the feisty fuckers in Buckinghamshire, where he went on to score TWICE in 19 appearances in the division below. He spent so much time on your bench that there's a JCH arse-shaped seat in your dugout.

But thanks for the unintended compliment to our club and management who recognised that JCH's talent lay not so much at Molineux but at your meat-pie-sponsored fun emporium instead.

Actually couldn't have timed that post more perfectly...

I was actually wanting you to find and post this lol, and you actually went and did it :brill:

Where are fans crying about this exactly? I've read it and 90% of the forum has sidetracked onto talking about who is better out of Liam McAlinden or Jake Cassidy. I don't know why were even discussing this to be honest. We never even made a bid for JCH, for all that article is worth we could be as pissed off about missing out on signing Neymar to Barcelona as we were JCH going to Rotherham. I'm still waiting for you to prove to me that we ever did make any sort of bid for him.

On a side note, why does that smiley say 'Brillant' and not 'Brilliant'?

Absolute classic SERNWA. Posts a link that destroys his own argument stone dead. You really can't make this shit up.

Here's what most fans said on Molineux Mix.....
  • "Not a great goalscoring record"
  • "Being honest never heard of him and know even less"
  • "That link is a real solid source innit?"
  • "it was just a web story about us watching him on a random Coventry fan page."
  • "I would guess that as Wiki was changed prior to the rumour starting, it's bull$$$$."
  • "So it wasn't us that were after him after all....."
  • "Would have been an awful signing."
  • "Same here not bothered at all, really don't think we'd leave it so late to sign a player anyway unless we were trying to appease fans"
  • "Rotherham probably offered him chance first team football whilst he would been 2/3/4th choice here"
  • "Never heard of him. Probably mediocre. Rather have the money in the bank waiting for a proper signing in January where we might be in a position to lure someone good with the possibility of PL. "
  • "I can't believe some of you wanted us to get in a bidding war of wages with Rotherham on this lad. For all you know we would have been prepared to get him in as a prospect on £1,500k a week and Rotherham offered him £3k a week with a chance of first team football. If that is the case of course he would choose Rotherham! It's not like a big name player has turned us down for Rotherham!"
  • "Maybe we offered nothing for him and Oldham used our name to make Rotherham pay more."
You can read the tears and the trauma in their emotive responses.

Not a shred of evidence that we were remotely interested.

There were a few that were indeed disappointed but then every club has its share of clueless fuckwits. I'm sure Rotherham has its fair share of illiterate clusterfuck fans too.

So again, thanks for confirming what we already knew about JCH and please, don't thank us, it was nothing. We're glad that we could step aside gracefully (Google it) to allow JCH to "deliver in limited playing time", whatever that means. I assume you're referring to the dugout seat.

- Not at all. I thought he would have been a good signing for the squad and the future.
- Ten minutes ago you'd never heard of him, Now you all want to slash your wrists.
- If we have missed out to Rotherham that is $$$$ poor.
- $$$$ sake!
-Hopefully we can tie it up, he was leaked as a target earlier in the summer.
- I hope we get him.

Very easy to slag a a player off and not care after you miss out on him.

A lot easier when he then goes on to be absolutely fucking useless, and you go on to claim that 3 goals in 16 games is "delivering". He then descends a division on loan to Oldham and MK Dons and his rate is even worse.

And read my post, I said there were a few who were disappointed. ffs keep up!

SERNWA you're right, we were desperate for JCH, we feared for our season without such an illustrious goalscorer. To hear the news that he rejected Wolves to go to Rotherham in search of Champions League football brought tears to the eyes of many of our fans. Many children couldn't bear the news, and ripped up the little stickers and posters they put on their bedroom walls of Jonson Clarke Harris. Many adults are still receiving therapy over the news of such rejection of a newspaper/forum article.

I fear that many people will never recover for the news coming of a forum rumour on a football forum saying we were rejected by THEE Jonson Clarke Harris.

Anyway now you've been bested by almost everyone in this thread, I guess you will resort to calling me a virgin, old, or make inane comments about trains or buses or something.

Yep, my bad. He came from Oldham. Huge signing. We were gutted. I never said anything about no-one being gutted. There's always a few dickheads. The stats are the same, even if the order of play is different.

I could say here and now that I'm disappointed we didn't sign Luis Suarez last summer, and some thick c*** from somewhere on another forum (or maybe even you), will come onto this forum in a year's time and say that we were rejected my the man himself. It's cute to think that Rotherham can compete with some of the clubs in this division when it comes it signing players, but if we really did want this JCH (thank god we don't), I think we could blow Rotherham out of the water in every single department ... Just as we did to Nouha Dicko, remember?

I can confirm that Jonson Clarke-Harris was shite...made worse by the fact he posted a picture on Twitter of him and two of our other players (who shall remain nameless) with scarves over their mouths and the strapline "ready for the robbery, Gillingham away #3points". We lost 4-2.

Twice in the same sentence. Aren't you training to become a teacher too? We can all be grammar police if you really want to go down to that level.

That photo was brilliant, wasn't Alli in it?

Still waiting for sernwa to explain how JCH went from his list of proven championship players to only getting 120 minutes of championship game time because he was unproven

Look SERNWA, with almost every post here, you make a fool of yourself.

Your bitter and nasty taunting and trolling of people is tiresome. You have neither the wit nor the intelligence to win any form of argument, so perhaps it's best if you just slink away quietly while the majority of people just think you to be unpleasant and abusive, rather than continue to post and thereby confirm it.

I have said before that I have no axe to grind with you, nor with any Rotherham fan. I stated in TFF that I thought Rotherham would do well last season (I was wrong) and I have said here (today even, perhaps) that Rotherham will finish higher next season than last.

What I do not like is how you confront those who have different opinions with nasty, goading, caustic responses intended to ridicule and belittle them. There have been times when you have posted very interesting posts and clearly are knowledgable. Is it necessary to be the obnoxious prick to all who dare to disagree with you or have different views of players or teams? Your recent Tweet about Karl Robinson could be construed by the police and the CPS as a direct personal threat to his life. Do you really want to murder a football manager you do not like? Is that who you are? It's not just banter. Isn't it time to start thinking about what you write and consider the consequences, not just for you but for others as well?

It is possible to have a different opinion to someone else without hating them, ridiculing them or being nasty. Try it. The interesting SERNWA might be more fun and more rewarding than the obnoxious SERNWA.
