Both teams going into this off the back of disappointing defeats to teams up in the automatic promotion mix. For all their pre-season bravado, I haven't noticed the Donny lot on here that much this season. Nor have I really watched many of their clips/highlights, so I don't really know if their lofty (yet expected) position is justified or not?

Regardless, they definitely head into this as firm favourites as we have lost our way results wise following a very impressive win at Plymouth. However, we've only been beaten by single goals. A slump was realistically always going to happen with changing managers, but there have been plenty of encouraging signs under Bignot.

This will be the biggest away league match following that a significant portion of the travelling Mariners will have been in, including myself. Also my first trip to the Keepmoat. Really looking forward to an early start and a few beers on the train.

Good job you're not traveling from Gy then!

We're in the middle of a tough run of games and while we started the run picking up a decent points tally, it's starting to take the sort of shape we expected it to. As SOC said our losses have been narrow and we've shown signs of quality against the best in this league, but we've also shown our major weaknesses. I don't expect us to win this game but hopefully we can continue to show promise and pick up a point. I'd like Disley to start as our midfield on Saturday was borderline disgraceful.

Until Saturday we had scored in every game this season and should have maintained that run at Plymouth the problem is we can't stop conceding. I still don't think we have played to our potential yet except in brief patches.

A guy at work had a 5 game both teams to score acca at the weekend and you were the only team from the 10 that let him down.
There were one or two choice words thrown around by him with the word 'Yorkie' followed by a range of different expletives being thrown your way on Monday morning.

Ex-Miners v Ex-Dockers or our replacement for the Lincolnshire El Grassico. Donny probably don't see it like that with Mansfield and Notts Co closer.

Looks like another parking nightmare, I don't fancy paying a fiver to sit in a car park for an hour after the game. A hard brexit at Woodfield Farm and walk from there?

Notts don't come into it really, Mansfield yes but I suppose this is the postcode derby replacing the one with Scunny, it certainly will be our highest attendance this season so far and likely will stay that way.

If you arrive early there should be plenty of free space on the road outside the Brewers Fayre/Premier Inn. Pretty easy to find as it's just around the corner from Doncaster Dome

With Copps out the question for Fergie is do we play 3 up front or move Rowe more central.

So we've gone 3 at the back, bugger and 3 up top, at least there's no Bogle.

Will be a good test for us and a chance to prove we're not exactly a one man team, though after last week's performance from our midfield - which is unchanged - I've not got much hope. Also a chance for Vernon to prove he's not a total donkey.

Stuck fifty on this being over 2.5. Doncaster are top league scorers and have netted 14 times in their last 6 games whilst Grimsby have scored 9 in the same number. Here's hoping they both keep hitting the back of the net.

Quite respectable to keep it at only 1-0 in our cup final especially for 88 minutes.

Sounded like the midfield was atrocious once again. How Summerfield gets as many games as he does while Disley rots on the bench simply blows my mind.

I've not seen us much this season but I'm struggling to find words to describe just how shite Luke Summerfield is.
