Danny Wilson miracle v John Sheridan miracle. Who gets your vote?

For me personally shez had a far bigger job on his hands but then again I'm biased

The scale of the mess created by the Deanosaurus cannot be measured by the league table alone.

I don't think Saunders is solely/largely responsible for the mess. And I don't think it's over yet.

Weren't Oldham about 8 points adrift at some point?

Plus Chesterfield actually looked a good side when they beat us first game of the season, certainly better than the Wilson side that came to Oakwell a few weeks back. Oldham under David Dunn did not.

Oldham were second bottom and eight points adrift (albeit with a game in hand) with over half the season gone. Chesterfield haven't even once been in the bottom four this season.

It's not even a contest.

I'm pretty sure we were briefly in 21st place for a day or two, but I get the point :)

Only two with us.

So four in total.

He's been promoted 3 times.

Down to your front three being a class above this level rather than because of Ferguson's input though, he's an absolutely shocking manager.

How is Nathan Pond playing at this level, he's an absolute mule, pure sentiment him still being there.

Fleetwood deciding to put all their eggs in the proverbial basket. That basket being Crewe at home. If they lose to them, they deserve to go down.

Dunno, reading Bobs Board when we shared a division he was the messiah!

Nah. He's a few million deep and not likely to see much of back any time soon. I'm grateful for him getting involved as without him we wouldn't have been able to fund the move but he's made some appalling decisions that have cost him big time money-wise.

Wouldn't put it past a Steven Pressley team, suspect Fleetwood will stick 10 men behind the ball and get the point they need.

Even if by some miracle we manage to beat Fleetwood, I wouldn't bet on Blackpool to beat Posh. Fleetwood are safe I think.

We was unbelievably rubbish today against Walsall. If we lose to Crewe next Sunday then we deserve to go down. By the way the jury has returned and given their verdict that Steven Pressley should go at the end of the season even if we stay up. 25% win ratio, 1 win last in 12 matches, falling out with players, baffling tactics, no plan B, signing crap players like Devante Cole, the list goes on.

Sheridan for.me.

Wilson has.had to take over from Saunders, who to be fair has little.idea.

Sheridan has had to.clean up after Kelly (away with the fairies) and Dunn (out of depth). As I'd rather see Saunders as.Dale manager than either of these two, Shezza wins...:)

You'll soon fall out of love with Sheridan.

Sheridan is a club legend. The fans love him. He loves the club. Can work on a shoe string and knows exactly where the team is lacking. He is a perfect fit for us and I can actually see him being here a fare few years now which is rare in this day and age.

Didn't take long to see through Pressley.
Exactly the same with us, decent start then started to fall out with the players putting half the squad in a bomb squad that trained with the kids.
His signings were absolutely dire, Andy Webster a CB he loved and played every game was a pub standard player at best.
His tactics were clueless and his post game interviews were baffling, how you can lose at home to Worcester and take positives from it, and as you say no plan b at all.
Get rid asap is my advice

Oldham seem to be the League 1 equivalent of Coventry a few years back, mired in years and years of mediocrity during a long stint in the same division (in the past six seasons they haven't finished higher than 15th) so if they get relegated you can't say it hasn't been coming.

The question is which is more likely - that relegation might do them good in the long run in shaking up the club while they make a fresh start in new surroundings and eventually get back on track like Coventry have done, or they might become locked in a seemingly interminable decline a la Grimsby/Tranmere/Stockport?

Shows how little I know! (And Coventry have slid alarmingly since, another big club suffering a long-ish stint in League 1.)

A belated well done to John Sheridan for accomplishing what look a near impossible task at the time I posted that, in fairness I hadn't noticed he'd only just taken over, and it was the previous managers that got them into this mess.

So next season will be their 20th successive at this level, surely something has to give? (BTW it will be Ipswich's 15th in the Championship, perhaps they ought to be granted WABC status...)
