Against my better judgement I’m going to this. I haven’t seen a home win since the 2nd game of last season against Vale!

We are utter gash at home - unbelievably inept - and it’s hard to see beyond a 7th home defeat. Can only hope Luton’s players over indulge with Xmas pudding!

Should be a lively atmosphere, though. Hope the combined knuckleheads keep a lid on it.

I'm hoping that the players and Management are still smarting from the drubbing we got at home. I have a feeling it's in under our skin as Jones mentioned it in his post match comments yesterday and they'll be well up for some payback.

I’m hoping that we keep the momentum going against a fellow “has been” but I doubt they’ll be many games over this season where the opposition’s quest to do the double over us would see us play a more defensive game to secure a draw...
we must keep Swindon on the back foot from the get go,and let them worry about us and have no temptation to change our attacking lineup by reintroducing ruddock at the backend of midfield and tempering our attacking options...
come on nj, Christmas is a time for giving...
let’s give them a stuffing ...
Ho fucking ho ...

Totally out in the cold I’d suggest. The balance of the midfield with Berry and Lee in the 2 box to box positions has been great and Rea has made even further improvements in the holding role for me. No need to change that dynamic. Whenever he does play he doesn’t seem to add anything different or stake any real claim to a place low for instance Lee has done up front. The only way I see him getting back in is if Rea goes down for whatever reason and McCormack isn’t quite ready yet. If we were to lose either Berry or Lee I’d prefer someone like Gambin to come in over him I think.

Whilst I’m not quite of the same view as Oaky on him I don’t see him getting back in for quite a while unless suspensions and injuries kick in.

Tough game I think this, we seem to be treating it as a normal Tuesday game (I.e. no Christmas off for them). Probably a good thing for us as last Boxing Day we put in one of 2 absolutely abject performances against Colchester that season. Cant see Jones letting that happen again, we seem to have a bit of extra mental fortitude this season and I think that comes from NJ this year.

Please Luton keep us on the backfoot, if you do that we can play our away game, where we play the counter attack, you press us , Woolery will tear you a new backside, im hoping for the win , but will settle for the draw.
Should be a great game in front of a crowd in excess of 10,000

Should be good. I think you caught us cold at our place. If you pull it off again it wont be for that. Let's see if you can live with our press and pass and move football and hopefully all our players. We're gonna be up for this one.

Left it too late to get seats in the covered stand and could only get ones in the uncovered. Weather forecast not looking fun at all with that in mind! I seem to recall last time I went many moons ago being in the same end with it pissing down.

Shame it's fallen when it has really, on a normal Saturday we'd quite possibly have sold out the entire allocation but with shit weather and, more importantly, no trains, can't see it being more than 1500.

Difficult game to call. Swindon don''t seem to play well at home but maybe they aren't so good at defending the same counter attacking style of football they like to play themselves away from home. I don't think NJ needs to give much of a team talk as we will be looking to avenge the defeat at ours albeit with much of the game played with 10 men. I'd like to see us go all out to get that first goal. I'm sure it will have the desired affect on the home crowd and our own players. Can't see Swindon adopting a counter style as their crowd will want then to attack which could work in our favour. Teamwise I'm only unsure about who will play alongside Hylton up front. Either Lee or Collins will do. Otherwise I'm happy with Justin being in the team to help combat Swindons pace. Would be happy with the draw but I have a feeling we might just nick it. Agree with JD about the away following. Its not just the lack of transport option but this game and Vale will be affected by the amount of money our fans are spending on getting to Newcastle which seems to be more of a priority. I don't think many will be interested in the game.

I'd take that. I think this is one of those tricky games we could lose. Bigger club, bigger crowd, Swindon won't just roll over unless we make them and if they get the breaks who knows. We haven't got completely clear where a loss makes no difference, so I hope we're still fully switched on. Big game day, big game. Boxing Day always holds a special place in my heart but not the opposition I'd love to play. It's Derby day.

Cornick SUCH an effective sub last 20 minutes away from home when we are a goal or more ahead. The ball into the channel is on every time.

4 different strikers all on the score sheet today. Honestly don't think I'd trade a single one of our strikers for any other forward in the division.

That bit of play just then sums it up for me. 5-0 up away from home with 3 minutes left and we had 8 players in or just outside the Swindon box for an attack. We are just relentless in search of goals. When teams lose their heads against us we just flatten them.

We are fucking brilliant. Matty Taylor is a legend. Life is good.
Sorry to disappoint. There’s a difference between being brilliant and then there’s playing us. Oleg McNoleg, Heather Mills and Douglas Bader would run rings round our bunch of tosspots.

My hope is that this further humiliation gets Flitcroft the boot tomorrow. Be honest, have you ever seen such a bunch of useless, spineless hoofers?
