Free week for us as Exeter bottled it . Probably would have been better for them to have played it especially with Jevani suspended and about 10 injuries

We will make changes with Ed Turns away with Wales and apparently Omar Beckles away with Granada even though he has had a groin injury.

Ethan Galbraith will return to our squad after his ban. George Moncur got the winner last week, but I’d have thought he will be on the bench again.

Surprisingly, none of the three we had on international duty the other week have gone this time. Not sure whether Roughan is suspended or not, but Reeco played St. Lucia's last games (and scored) and not selected this time.

Doesn't sound like we picked up any injuries from midweek but the game will come a week early for Sorenson and Vale.

Looking forward to this. Will take a trip over and have a few in the city centre first. Always loved Lincoln. Great place to visit.
As for the football - be delighted with a point, keep the run going and that would be 6 unbeaten.
I think we might nick a point too with joe Powell popping up again.
Will bring about 500-600 I guess.

One of them is Sinisalo which would have meant Woods in goal, so just giving you goals there. Plus we are on a dreadful run and still no fit striker.

Cambridge United away.

We haven’t won a league game away at Cambridge since 1974 (we did win an FA Cup game there in 2020 mind).

Getting that all important first goal in seven matches in all competitions last weekend against Northampton has hopefully given the players some confidence, they’re certainly not a bad team that’s for sure, Taylor needs to build on those 3 points at the weekend here now as he’s massively under pressure from an increasingly pissed off fanbase.

No idea why and I should probably get some medication at this point for even thinking this, but I’m confident for some reason or another on Saturday.

Cambridge 0-1 Salop (Udoh)

Sounds like you have a sold a decent number of tickets considering the distance.

We could really do with the win here. Last weeks win at Bolton was a welcome and unexpected 3 points, and a good performance, but overall it’s still been a poor start to the season for us. With a third of the season almost gone we need to start picking up more points, particularly at home, if we want to avoid a swift return to League 2.

Lovely day for it. Never confident when playing Burton at home.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
It is the ‘we’re always in the same ruddy league’ derby between Carlisle and Orient.

Carlisle really need to capitalise here on last weeks bonus win, type of game they need to win to try and survive as Orient have had a stutter start also.

Aaron Pierre re-signs for the club completely out of nowhere 20 minutes ago and is on the bench today.

Sraha and Phillips get their first starts and both Benning and Fleming start which is very unusual as they’re both LWB’s. Such a weird lineup which has confused every Salop fan there is, so I’m sure Bonner and Cambridge won’t know how to go about this now. It’s either going to be a Taylor masterclass or a clusterfuck. Bold move either way.

As expected really. Always a frustrating game against Burton. Have we ever beaten then? That defeat was on the stupidity of Mandroiu.

First half, we looked marginally better but no chances created really by either side. A Burroughs effort the closest we came. Burton passing the ball out of play constantly.

2nd half they started better, but then a stupid 2 footed challenge from Mandroiu and ref had no option. Within a couple of mins, Burton hook a corner in and OG.

Burton then sub their striker and bring on full back Caprice and sat back. We looked better playing with 10, but no strikers, and now with Mandroiu out for 3, going to be a tough spell.

Wouldn't have argued if that game ended 0-0 before the sendig off, it was certainly heading that way.

Absolute garbage that. Worst I’ve seen us play this season, fully deserved defeat.

Those are the kind of defeats that get you relegated. It’s been a diabolical start to the season and with Portsmouth away next we really are in the shit.

Totally fucked off by that. Some of our players need to have a good look at themselves to go from last weeks performance to that shit show.

Morrodona...what a goal that was.

As for the other centre back, it's all well and good being fouled afterwards, but if you're stood with a chance to clear it shouting at the referee, you've really cocked it up.

We probably deserved the win on the first half, we should really have had more than one. Not sure what Holy was doing for the goal, didn’t need to come out that far.

Second half Carlisle were better, but I only felt they were threatening from Moxons set plays. Sol Brynn had to pull off a few saves in the second half.

We’re frustratingly wasteful on the counter attack - there was a second goal in there for us today.

Overall we edged a tight game, Carlisle first half performance was poor and it ultimately cost them.

424 away fans - most I’ve ever know is to take up there.

After having to miss last seasons game at BP, I was doubly determined to make it there today.

A very poor and tough watch this afternoon, neither side were very good. The main difference was that whilst Burton had pace in wide areas and said players willing to try and take people on, we effectively had central players out wide, who don't have pace and can't take a man on. A lack of pace in our side full stop and that makes us unpredictable and seem ponderous.

It was a nothing game up until the red card and to concede a couple of minutes after before we could re-organise was a kick in the knackers. Thought we played a little better when we went down to ten men but Burton were happy to sit back in in their 6-3-1 formation and take the 1-0 win having set out for a 0-0 really.

Another set piece conceded, I'm pretty sure two thirds of the goals we've conceded this season have been from them.

We lost 3-0, no complaints with the result. Better team won, a bit like Reading away, if the rub of the green had gone our way then maybe the game plays out differently but certainly hard to argue that Blackpool weren't good value for the win.

Blackpool had a lot of the ball but were largely ineffective in the first half, we really struggled to get a foot hold in the game though, when the opener did come it was a bit fortuitous, a strike from range which didn't look to be troubling the goal, cannoned off Jordan Rhodes, wrong footing Taye in the process and like that it was 1-0.

For the remainder of the half we actually improved and managed to muster a little bit of threat, right on half time we looked to have leveled through Jamie Reid but a very, very late flag ruled the goal out. Looked onside to me, so unfortunate with that one.

Second half was fairly level until Blackpool grabbed a second, again we were unfortunate with a strike taking a key deflection to beat the keeper. After that it was pretty much all Blackpool who added a third and looked more likely to add a fourth than us pulling one back.

Was always going to be difficult today, no wing backs available and up against a decent side. Maybe if the Reid goal is awarded then things might have been different but we were second best today unfortunately.

I’ll have to disagree on that one. Not a chance your defender was fouled, more like a penalty. Not that it mattered for us as Perry smashed home the equaliser.

Thought the first half Cambridge were slightly the better team but second half it was mainly all Salop. Think a draw was probably the fair result if not we shaded it slightly. Poor game between two poor sides on the whole. Think we’ll both be in a relegation battle (unless we sack Taylor). Shambles how we’re in this position. I could manage this squad to a top 12 finish ffs. Frustrating once again from Salop.

Carlisle were lacklustre in the 1st half, we improved after the break but Orient deserved it overall.
It's a team game, but Fin Back and Sean Maguire were particularly poor today, think Simmo needs to maybe recall Jack Ellis and start Ablade up front.
Our home form is worrying.

Credit to Orient, who clearly knew how to play against us. Felt they should have been 2 up at the break. We were woeful, aimless possession with no penetration. Moxon's set pieces were decent, but our insistence in crowding every player into the six-yard area meant that there was no pressure on the second balls. Ablade unlucky to hit the post.

Probably our poorest showing at Brunton Park this season, certainly in the first half. Hope Avanti didn't cause too many problems for the Orient faithful on their long journey home.

They cancelled the 17.52 which meant around 200 of us had to cram onto the 18.46 - Which ran on time and got back in at 23.00. It was busy, not the worst I have ever seen, but busy.

Feel sorry for you lot having to rely on them every single week, last week what they did for your game with Bolton was disgraceful.

You beat Bolton so no need to worry about us. We can't stay unbeaten for ever

There's an automatic reaction to every game being the start of it all going wrong.

If we're still a force in April i'll start to believe ;)

Up to mid table now which is surprising given out start.
Was not pretty at times but ground it out.
Best news was Cole stockton was on the bench, hopefully back against rover’s Saturday for an appearance.
7 unbeaten now, momentum is gathering. Still miles off where we should be though in terms of performances.

Lad who went said it was a really poor game, your wingers were lively and your main outlet (same as against us I guess) and Lincoln's striker (number 7) couldn't trap a bag of cement and made our strikers look decent.

You've pushed up well, if you could start a season well you'd be challenging come May but seem to be very slow starters! Lincoln have been a bit disappointing so far with their seemingly decent summer recruitment.

Surely a bit harsh, you've come up relatively unexpectedly and will take time to adjust, you get games like that at this level, we went to Derby and won 2-1 last season deservedly for example then had to come back from 2-0 down late on to scrape a draw at home to FGR a week later!

We don't have any strikers. Our forward three on Saturday were a winger player centrally, a central midfielder playing out wide and to be fair a wide player in their normal position. Our attacking change was putting a transfer listed winger up front!

You're right, though, we're disappointing at the minute and just to emphasis that point, these are our stats so far this season:

xG for - 22nd
Possession - 22nd
Shots - 21st
Crosses - 24th
1v1 dribbles - 21st
Corners - 24th
PPDA - 24th
Key passes - 20th
Smart passes - 19th
Progressive passes - 20th
Progressive runs - 21st
Touches in the opposition box - 24th

We're also conceding lots from set pieces, I suspect about 60-70% of our goals conceded have come from that.

Our xG against is third best in the league, though.

Could be a cracker in a few weeks as we are pretty strikerless now!

It was not pretty no.
Thankfully I’d visited the excellent pubs of Lincoln first to numb the pain of Dino ball….
