The Carlisle fans on here seem to have left the titanic before it sank, there were a few regulars they all buggered off???

Am I the only one still here because I don’t live in Carlisle so can only see ‘highlights’ of the games……are full games too suicidal inducing!!

Christ it’s a Damn sh*t season but there has been much worse, sat through that crap in the the 90’s relying on Maidstone and aldershot to die in order to survive with gates of 1200, seen us relegated from L1 looking forward to a summer with our chairman as manager, seen sh*te scraping survival for 5-6 straight seasons before going down etc rtc

It’s crap, but heading into a summer with owners who will ‘increase the budget’ while investing in the coaching set-up, building new training facilities at probably costs of millions and increasing and improving the scouting and academy set-ups is hardly a daunting situation.

They should be growing a bloody backbone and get back here posting than turning up again next year if we do better. You have to suffer the atrocious so the good is enjoyable.

I'm still here, still viewing but there's very little to post when we're astronomically shit and our season is over with nothing left to play for only to see us get beat every sodding week.

As sad as it is I'm actually more interested in L2 now than L1 as that's where we're heading.

I'm hopeful that we'll have a positive summer for a proper overhaul.

To be honest I’m the same. There’s really nothing of interest left to talk about this season and frankly I’d rather just be done with L1 and go on to L2.

As for today on the one hand a win gives us a glimmer of hope but realistically would just prolong the agony. Flitcroft may be gone but the failings of this squad are not, Burton will have a set piece at some point and the rest will take care of itself in all likelihood.

Burton 0 vale 0 please, or 1-0 Burton. In the relegation equation is it better that only two points are awarded for a draw in the game, rather than 3 for either team winning? If only we could win a couple and make all this deep mathematic introspection irrelevant!

Any exciting team news?

Yeah Vale and Burton are basically the two retards fighting meme. Loft is playing though so at least that should be good for a laugh.

This pitch at the Pirelli is perfect for some sort of comedy goal to decide it. Who for we’ll find out.

Burton are the only team that play on the beach from match day one, that pitch is truly dreadful and has been for years.

In this league then maybe, but Burton’s pitch is like a bowling green compared to Bradford, the worst “pitch” I’ve seen for years (we played them in the Tinpot semi recently-ish).

Nice to see Burton and Vale have at least kept to the script so far, but the others…what is going on?

The mighty Rams!!!
Half time to what’s been a really bitty and scrappy game. We’ve missed two glorious chances where as Hoskins scored a good volley, albeit looked like a foul on Wilson in the build up.

Big second half but looks like there are goals in this

No way was that a penalty for Stevenage. I bet Fatty doesn't say so though

Yet another netbuster for the goal avalanche that is Ryan Loft, in anticipation of the inevitable summer bidding war.

Felt like we needed to win today but delighted to get a point in the end. Didn't play well but plenty of fight, missing quite a few key players today so wasn't confident and for 80+ minutes it looked like we were going to get nothing.

The penalty gave us a lifeline, scrappy goal to level it at the death, bit unfortunate for Carlisle in all honesty but they did the same to us at our place earlier this season - both of us ending with 2 points rather than the 3 we probably should have from the 2 meetings.

We’ve actually erm… won a game!!!!

Probably more impactful to Burton than us in the final reckoning but good to get our first win of the calendar year. Pretty wild celebrations after Loft hit it home, he missed one first half that was far easier so go figure there.

Hope we have a tasty sell-on clause

Fully deserved three points and we played well today, actually some battle and fight and dug in on a terrible pitch with a swirling wind.

Chuffed for Loft especially after another terrible miss first half but aside from that he did everything you’d want in your big man up top, won most things and set up and scored the winner.

Was nervous as it rolled off the post to him that he’d still find a way to miss though.

Burton were dreadful, the worst Burton side I’ve seen us play so it gives me hope that we can still catch them, and with Cambridge in freefall and a tough run in it’s opened the door for us but we have to take confidence and build on it going into Easter. If we can at least fight to the end and if we go down we go down fair enough.

Some positive signs today.

Considering our awful away form might have to wear the third kit more often! Four points from six in it now (should have been six really!).

Feels good to win for once! See if we can build on it now.

Hard to find the words, honestly. I know deep down that our season ended today, despite the games left to play.

I just really hope that Warne isn’t in charge next season.

Seems the side who copes with their mammoth injury list the best is going up. After half an hour sat we had 13 unavailable players but still beat Peterborough. Not sure why this season injuries have played a massive part in the top 3..Bolton without baxter, Santos and Dion Charles for a long period, Pompey no Poole, Robertson, Morrell, Ogivile for months plus a ton more. Derby been without Collins, Forsyth Joe Ward amongst others.. All top top league one players missing

Carlisle 2 - 2 Stevenage
Miles better performance today, albeit against an under strength opposition.
Season can't end soon enough, I only hope we don't finish with a record low points for L1.
Good performances today from the much maligned Lavelle, Lewis and Butterworth.

A win and a clean sheet and Ryan Loft scoring! Unbelievable.

We've actually found a team and player that is worse than anything we have seen this season. Jesus, what has happened to Burton? They were horrific, just booting it and hoping. The pitch was like a Sunday park pitch too...it shouldn't be allowed. If we finish below them we deserve to be relegated.

The player? Hudlin. I've never seen a player look so out of his depth.

We finally showed a bit of grit and determination and I have to say that Loft was fantastic. He put absolutely everything into that performance. I've been his biggest critic but he really played well today.

It's too little, too late for me. Bristol Rovers will beat us on Friday, but at least we showed a little commitment today.

To be fair they’re saying much the same on the Burton forum.

Never seen him play but it seems like he scored a few at Solihull Moors but nowhere else.

I realise you can still be an effective and useful, yet non-scoring striker, but by the Burton fans’ accounts the only part of that list he’s doing is the non-scoring.

We’ve currently got 12 out of 28 unavailable. Our injuries this season is ridiculous. If we get promoted we’ll be limping over the line
