Gas travel to a wobbling Chesterfield who find themselves in a precarious position both in the table and financially. Would normally fancy a good win but we've been fairly shite recently. I expect DC to revert back to a 5-3-2 especially with Clarke-Salter out for a while. Still going for a Gas win but a tight and nervy one. 2-1 to Rovers . UTG.

'Can't be any worse than Tuesday' so 6-1 Chesterfield is my prediction.

Hopefully we take a decent amount there!

Will be our best home turn out of the season too after Tuesday's win & all the recent shit. Quid a kid offer has helped, plus a few small gestures like dropping the additional charge for 'on the day' purchases.

Until we get our army of injured players back, I'll not be confident of predicting anything other than a loss. A draw (preferably 0-0) would be a good result to build on Tuesdays win, but everything is just built on match sticks at this club at the minute.

Fair play if 1000 away fans make the trip, would be a cracking turnout. Probably our biggest home turnout of the season too after the plea for support + result on Tuesday!

I think Chesterfield are probably playing us at the right time because we're definitely going through our worst spell of the season so far. Got smashed 4-0 at Millwall in our last away game and hammered 5-1 against Charlton in our last home game. All of a sudden were shipping goals left right and centre and we're struggling to score ourselves. Our only goal in the last 3 games was an injury time penalty when we were already 5-0 down.

I'll be making the trip but I'm really not confident at all. Especially when you consider Chesterfields excellent win against MK on Tuesday. I was particularly impressed that having led for most of the game only to go 2-1 down, they showed great character to come back and win 3-2. Most struggling sides would have crumbled but they clearly still have belief and fighting spirit.

I'd be delighted with a point to stop the rot but I actually think this will be a home win. Chesterfield 2-0 Rovers

Not saying I think we'll win by any stretch but I'm not as doom and gloom as some people are based on what's happened so far. We were tonked at Millwall due to a red card after 15 minutes, despite looking the better side while 11 vs 11, and there was absolutely nothing between us and Charlton before their fortuitous first goal. Obviously we crumbled from there, but once again there were other things that went against us on the night.

We aren't on our best run of form in the league yet I don't go into any game these days with negative thoughts. Tomorrow is no different, rightly or wrongly. There's no point being a football fan following your team around the country otherwise, is there?!

A keeper and CB must be a minimum priority. We're making too many mistakes either from Roos or just poor defending and ultimately, Roos should be organising his defence.

Apparently we've got the green light to strengthen in January but why wasn't that light there in the summer from the board? Loans can be helpful but at the same time, but we haven't actually invested at all since the conference - apart from Gaffney who cost 50k.

Time for Wael to put his money where his mouth is as so far we've seen nothing from him apart from changing green seats to blue and putting up a new fence. Fantastic.

That's horrible to hear. I heard that a few hours before the game he had a call that a family member passed away, didn't realise it was his mum.

I'm astounded that he carried on to manage the game, what a hero.

RIP.

Didn't hear the DC news until afterwards, awful stuff. RIP.

As for the game itself, thought we were a bit unlucky not to get something, but defence seems pretty poor at the moment. Ref avoids a stonewall penalty on the hour too, but ah well.

One of those spells at the moment I think, but much better than Tuesday.

You let a team who are in all sorts of shit at the bottom of the table score 3 goals against you and you feel you were unlucky? Righty-ho !!!:conf:

For us or for you? There was 2 I thought would have been given on another day for each of us. Big result for us to say we had 8 or 9 first teamers missing and a trainee right back playing up top on his own. Ground out an important result. When we get people fit again we might have half a chance but our luck with injuries is ridiculous.

We will play a lot better and lose this season, as have been proven already on a number of occasions.

Despite all of the above and the various other issues you have...apparently you were lucky?

Not lucky but it is a game we should have won based on the balance of play. 59% Possession, 17 shots to Chesterfields 6 and 7 corners to Chesterfields 1. We're losing games due to rank bad defending and poor finishing. Teams are having very few attacks against us but scoring 3 or 4 goals. We need to sort it out quickly if this blip is not going to turn into a decline.

Right back? He's a trainee forward.
