Cant wait for the new season to begin again even though our preparation has been a disaster for all kind of reasons, we really are down to bare bones atm with a few injured players aswel so looking like having a few kids on the bench next Saturday if we don't fetch anybody else in before then.

Wolves are in a similar position as well, new manager and not many players brought in yet but they have just been took over by one of the richest men in football so im expecting they'll be fetching some real quality players in soon, hopefully after next Saturday.

Looking like its gonna be a sell out with Wolves almost selling their allocation so should be a good atmosphere.

I think we'll line up like this if we don't sign anybody else before the game.

Camp
Kelly - Broadfoot - Wood - Mattock
Smallwood - Forster-Caskey
Vaulks - Frecklington - Forde
Ward

Subs: Price, Thorpe, Halford, Dawson, Bailey-King, Muskwe, Yates

Prediction is we will struggle to beat any championship team alone atm with that team but we probably will fetch in players before the game but if we don't then i think a point is the best we can come out of, narrow Wolves victory 1-2

Finally the season has arrived!

We've been promised signings, and as of the time of typing this post, we have signed 4 players in as many days. I expect to sign another 1/2 before Saturday, but my worry is that we haven't had much time to gel, and there is a language barrier between some of our players.

No idea what formation Walter Zenga will play, as this will be his first match in charge of the club, My guess is something like this:

Ikeme

Iorfa - Batth - Hause - Silvio

Price - Teixiera

Henry - Mason - Costa

Bodvarsson

As for a prediction, will go for an entertaining 2-2 to kick of the season.

I really look forward to this new season. I hope it will be better than the last one. In the 1FF Prediction League I bet on a 2-1 Wolves win.
I don't know what we have to expect from Walter Zenga but I'll stick to it. He can't lose his first game in charge, can he? ;)

If our big 3 transfers this week come off our side will look more like this;

Camp

Kelly Broadfoot Wilson Mattock

Halford

Taylor Frecklington Allan

Vaulks

Ward

Bench; Price, Wood, Smallwood, Forster- Caskey, Forde, Yates, Nymann.

Looks a hell of a lot stronger and if I'm being honest looks like a team that'll beat Wolves.

Looking at the positions the potential new signings likes to play i think we could play a 433 with possible this line up

Camp
Kelly, Broadfoot, Wilson, Mattock
Frecklington, Smallwood, Forster-Caskey
Taylor, Nyman, Ward

Subs: Price, Wood, Halford, Vaulks, Allan, Forde, Yates

I think if all of our fan base had a guess at the line up and formation nobody would guess right tbf but i have a feeling be close to that.

Greg Halford is one of the worst players I saw play for Wolves, so guarantee he scores on Saturday. Loads of unknown factors for all the predicted lineups of Wolves I've seen. My prediction is we will have less of the new lads than some expect. Reckon we might see more of a 442 or 4411 with Mason and the new Bod guy starting.

What you got against Halford?

Camp

Kelly Broadfoot Wood Mattock

Halford Smallwood

Taylor Allan Forster-Caskey

Ward

Frecks and Wilson out so that'll be closer to the side and I think we'll sneak it 2-1 aswell. Scott Allan double in front of a sell out.

Think he summed up the start of the decline for Wolves under Mick, totally underwhelming player we signed whilst in the prem, looked like he couldn't be arsed, he also used to openingly moan about the club and tactics on Twitter, and one day tweeted that he wanted ideas for things to do on his day off, only to then tweet 40 minutes later Wolves had just rung to see where he was as it was a training day, fucking idiot.

Nothing against Halford but i cant see him playing with all the midfielders Stubby has fetched in tbh, personally i would play Halford right back instead of Kelly or centre back instead of Wood but i cant see that happening either.

Weren't a dig but he was immense for us under Warnock and is one of the first names on the teamsheet for, plays the defensive midfield role perfectly.

Sounds exactly how he was when he first joined but seems to have got his act together.

Well he has signed for and played under a lot of different managers so there is obviously something there. I do remember seeing him play for Forest and thinking he looked a lot better than he ever did for us.

2-0 or 2-1 Rotherham.
I think Warnock's a good, solid if unexciting manager. I reckon the Millers will end up mid-table this year.
We'll be absolute toss tomorrow... lots of individual flair and showboating from our Continental imports until Broadfoot and Wilson go through them like a steam train. Then nothing apart from Doherty doing Ronald Zubar efforts from 40 yards into Row Z. Sorry this is Rotherham: into Row F.

Things will turn for us when we get Dicko, Graham and Zyro back and - hopefully - Williamson too.

I've seen Zyro and Williamson haven't even been given shirt numbers this season, but not sure if this is because they're injured?

LOL. I realised this about an hour after I posted last night :)

As I lay awake in my flannelette PJs, listening to the presentation carriage clock ticking, I wondered which Miller would remind me. Had to be you. Does Alan Stubbs think Rotherham are the best-known club in Italy?

My brother rang me to say he met Benfica's president (who was wearing a Wolves tie) outside of the stadium. Hopefully a link up between the two clubs or a deal down the line for Anderson Talisca maybe...

Also I was right with me 2-2 scoreline, wish I had some money on it though.

Thought the scoreline was about right in the end, we dominated the first half with brilliant 1 touch football especially the first 30 mins or so, then Wolves were the better side 2nd half surprisingly after going down to ten men.

The goals we conceded were defensive errors yet again like last season, Joe Mattock had a mare of a game but he's lucky we haven't got another left back to come in a replace him atm, Wood and Broadfoot weren't much better either and let rest of their team mates down yesterday as attacking wise we were sharper than what they was.

Im expecting we'll sign at least 4 more players to complete our squad, a right back, left back and 2 striker and maybe another centre back depending how good Kelvin Wilson will be. Once that is done im more confident than ever now we'll stop up and finish up towards mid table.

Positive for us was that WZ actually made some subs, had begun to forgot you could do that under Jackett.
