A “big up “ to all the Lutoners who contributed their opinions this season.
We have one thing in common....
Although we may agree and disagree....
We are Luton...United.....we’ll never be defeated...

Bloody brilliant day. Gutted I couldn't be up in Carlisle today but made the beamback at the ground. Was a great atmosphere and when it all turned in that minute it made for a very twitchy half hour. Once the Exeter result was in there was a very small part of me hoping for a Carlisle goal which would have left us 6 points ahead and we could confirm it at home next week which probably would have been perfect scenario. Looking forward to a great reception for the lads next week and a beery weekend up in Nottingham the week after. The latter will be even better if Notts can still nab third, which I sincerely hope they do.

Bloody love you Nathan. TTAGU.

I know you love a good ‘choke job’ Adam :surr: and this one is a doozy
But you still have a chance

No we don’t. As we have shitcroft as a manager.

He couldn’t beat an egg. He’s a fucking disgrace

Lol, people from Swindon have never appeared more intelligent than right now.

Awful, awful choice by the Radfords. I bet John wasn't swinging his scarf yesterday

We were absolute fucking gash of the highest order yesterday, but not to take it away from Accy who fully deserved their win.

If there was a game to screw up in of the final three you’d have picked that one, since we had a strong chance of not winning anyway, but of course we have to do everything the hard way.

I suspect once Morecambe get their Tuesday game out of the way, Chesterfield’s relegation will be confirmed, but surely they still have pride to play for after a dreadful season.

And yeah, thank fuck for Crawley still giving Exeter a game yesterday, though Notts C coming up in the outside lane is still a concern.

As others have said though, if we blow it from here it’s our own fault, injuries or not.

Well done to Lincoln and Coventry making the playoffs.

Agent shitcroft at his best yesterday
It feels like we're in there because you're so shit rather than us being great. It seems as though we're falling our way in to it rather than playing our way into it.

What’s the latest on Akinfenwa? I hope that yesterday’s result will knock your confidence but to be honest, we will be kicking ourselves for not seeing off Crawley.

It’s going to go to the final day I suspect and Notts certainly have a chance of pipping us both, although their fixtures look more tricky.

Next week is going to be so nerve wracking and I am gutted I can’t make the final home game as that is likely to be a big’un.

With Exeter and Wycombes remaining fixture and a points deficit to both we are definitely the outsider.

I’m just happy we’ve got the playoffs and some form back before they begin

To be fair DF leaving hasn’t helped us at all and Phil Brown has managed to lead us out of the play offs into mid table ‘safety’

It’s been a dismal season for us, some dreadful football and we have lost consistently at home to some really terrible football teams.

Great to see that Accrington are likely to be champions, just goes to show what can be achieved without chucking a load of cash at it.

Can’t wait for next season - not!

What concerns me about shitcroft, is well, pretty much everything.

He can’t manage a game
He can’t see out a game
The tactics are often wrong
He takes the wrong subs off
He can’t win a game
He can’t motivate side

The list goes on.

Yes it’s on 10 games, but I’ve not seen a manager as bad as him yet. He’s fucking dire

Swindon’s home record must be the biggest puzzler of the season. A shockingly bad season long performance at the County Ground whilst being very decent on the road. It’s usually the other way round

His record at Swindon clearly wasn’t good, the previous noises coming out of the County Ground and Gigg Lane , should of been a clear red light for the Mansfield board#handbrake

A rushed, panicked decision after backstabber Evans did his usual dirty deeds?? Due diligence? Maybe Carolyn just fancied the look of him? Whatever the reason for the appointment I’m happy to report it’s been disastrous.

But with 180 mins still to play, and 6 points on offer it’s all to play for, for all involved

What’s the latest on Akinfenwa?

No news, and to be honest I would neither want nor expect any - Ainsworth should keep the opposing manager guessing.

It may have been mindgame bullshit, but Ainsworth did say that Akinfenwa had a chance of playing yesterday even, but who knows.

Talk on the Chesterfield board is of protests during the game, refusing to go in but chants outside the stadium of “You’re not fit to wear the shirt”, etc.

Now we all know that most of these schemes tend to be fanciful messageboard crap that never actually happens, as the apathetic majority who are happy just to watch a game of a Saturday shuffle along regardless, but it doesn’t sound like it’ll be the most supportive atmosphere from the Spireites (and indeed why should it be).

Big four minutes at so at Field Mill and Sincil Bank today! Certainly needed that with Coventry and Tuesday and then Accrington on Saturday.

4 from 3 games needed, assuming Mansfield pick up maximum points.

I would assume two points maximum, to be honest.

I think the only way we can pick up another win is if we play Chesterfield again.

Yesterday was proof that we don't just grind out results, but can also give a decent team an absolute thumping too. And without kee scoring.

Hopefully can continue and finish on a high, take some momentum into next season.

He was seen wearing a protective boot yesterday so doubt we'll see him again until next season :ffs:

Indeed we've got in there with only one striker and he's spent most of the last 10 games playing on the wing.

We’ve been crap at home for a few seasons now. The CG used to be a bit of fortress down the years but the atmosphere is dire and the players seem to turn shit at home.

Hopefully we can sort that out next season but I won’t hold my breath.

Tbh the playoffs were the minimum requirement for us, whereas the playoffs would have exceeded the wildest expectations of the normal Lincoln fan, the difference is you’ve got good management.

You went for it against Colchester with a man less. Shitcroft would defend the 1-1 lead with all 10 players in our box concede late on, lose and blame the ref for the sending off.

Highly unrealistic I know but with Wycombe's current form and Exeter and Notts County's unpredictability it's not completely out of the question that either us or Lincoln make the autos, although it would require one of us to win all three of our remaining games and Wycombe, Exeter and Notts County to take 1, 3 and 3 points from their respective two fixtures. Knowing our luck everything will miraculously be going our way and then we'll concede a 78th minute equaliser at home to Morecambe on the final day and just miss out.

Congrats to Accy and Luton. Fascinating and tense races for 3rd and 7th now. Impressive and surprising turnaround from us from the godawful Chesterfield game less than a month ago. You wouldn't have found one Notts fan then who would have given us a sniff of automatic promotion - many feared we wouldn't even make the play-offs. Now, if we can overcome Grimsby and Luton, we have a - still outside - but very real chance, thanks to our superior GD, that would see us up if we finished level with either Exeter or Wycombe in 3rd.

Saturday will be a VERY nervy day with us at the Grims, Exeter at Stevenage, and Wycombe at Chesterfield. Wycombe *should* pick up 3 points at the Proact, but how much will the Accy defeat have taken out of them? Will Akinfenwa be fit? Will the Spireites at least want to show some kind of fight in front of their own fans before what looks an inevitable relegation? And Stevenage are a tough proposition at home, some good attacking players - I'm hoping they can at least hold Exeter. Not easy for us at Grimsby, who are fighting for their lives, but hopefully in front of what should be a big away following we can make it 4 on the bounce and really put some pressure on the two above us.

Wasn’t Exeter’s home form just as bad last season? God knows why it goes like that. We’ve lost to some terrible sides this season and we’ve managed to be even worse. I suppose it’s all down to having a shower of shit as a squad.

Is that what happens when shitcroft gets a summer to sign players?
