Wycombe lost at home again - late penalty for Coventry.

Going by our local station it sounded like Wycombe had the best of he first half but Cov came into it and whilst a draw might have bee the fairest result took their chance.

To give Anisworth credit he admitted the penalty was the correct decision,.

Big result for Coventry getting a 1-0 win away at Wycombe. Whilst they weren't out of the play off picture, this win puts them firmly back in contention, given it was their first win in 5 and puts them 3 points back of Swindon with a game in hand.

Massive win for us today, starting to wish we'd just been knocked out of the FA Cup early as it seems to have been a massive distraction. We've been much better since the Brighton game.

If we win both our games in hand we could be back in the auto spots.

That Wycombe defeat certianly makes me feel a little better about Notts current form. Could be all change again over the next couple of weeks.

I’m worried our very impressive home form will come undone before we pick up our very poor away form, especially with the sides we have to play in March

Exactly, if we won that game in hand, we'd go 3rd

Lots of twists and turns.
All about holding your nerve now.
A crazy two months to follow no doubt about it.

The game against you is pretty big, more so now evans has gone, but also as if we beat you we've put real distance between us, lose and you're right back behind us. Stevenage away and you at home won't be easy

BBC Wiltshire reporting Flitcroft to Mansfield is a done deal.
Why would he leave Swindon to go to Mansfield ? I know they are higher this season but surely there is a lot more potential at Swindon.

Hard to believe both Mansfield and Swindon will benefit for the change in managers at this point in the season.
Thought Stags were favourites for one of the two remaining spots.
Evans has really done the dirty on Radford, surprised how quickly Flitcroft has jumped ship too, thought Swindon would want to keep a proven manager until the seasons over.

Reminds me of Alladyce when he resigned saying he didn’t have a club in mind and joined Bolton 3 days later.

Likely to be mass postponements this weekend, can't see our game at Cheltenham going ahead with the forecast for the SW. Anyone else's look a goner?

I'm not too bothered, our away form is pretty bad at the moment and it's one less game for our more vital players to get injured in before the hugely important game v Mansfield on the 17th. IF we can get a result at FGR next Saturday, we'll be going into that with a little bit of momentum, which seemed to have vanished just a week or so ago. No exaggeration to say it will probably be the biggest game ever between us, hoping for a gate of 12k+, depending on what happens at FGR (our 'floating' fans can be pretty fickle).

Our game will probably be fine seeing as Cov isn't too bad, but Lincoln fans might struggle to make it up. Would rather it went ahead so we can avoid a fixture pile up later in the season.

Seems obvious, with the speed Evans left and replaced by Flitcroft, that discussions had been had beforehand. Bit pants on fire from Radford saying they didn’t talk to Flitcroft til 4pm yesterday. Sounds like Power readily agreed. That tells you summat

We are just 3 points off the play offs now after 4 wins in a row and I'd say that we are looking like the league's form team for the buisness end of the season.

So if there are any top 7 teams who are doing shit right now and have run out of steam then get out of the pissing way and let us in!

Have Carlisle beaten any of the top teams recently or just mid table or relegation threatened teams?

We are a much better team now after signing a load of quality players in January as we are attacking teams to death with so much confidence and momentum much like Luton were at the start of the season. There is just so much pace and energy in the team I have not seen us this good in years.

If I was a fan of any other club Id hate to play us right now with the form we are in.

In fact if we played someone like Wycombe away right now we'd win 6-0 no problem.

Yeah they beat us last time out and our aim this season was play offs so I guess you could class us as a top team........ :animatedf:

We beat Carlisle and we are roundly regarded as shite by the rest of the division. So with that highly scientific approach I'm calling it a flash in the pan

We've won just 1 of the 14 games we've played against the current top 10 (Accrington at home as mentioned above). I don't think we've been totally outclassed by any of them bar perhaps Luton, but that isn't good enough.

If we get even a point at Exeter next week I'll be very happy with a couple of winnable home games to follow.

Our run started right after losing to you because we realised if such a terrible team like you are riding high in this league then it will not take much work to better ourselves and hey look it's already working!

Just ask any Barnet or Chesterfield fan for example and they'll tell you how great we were against them.

Our record against the top half is P19 W2 D6 L11. Ouch. Our two wins at home vs Swindon and away at Accy of all places!
