That's the problem, we are too demanding whether our fans like to admit it or not. I can tell you know there are still plenty of fans who don't want him at the club.
Morons, he's the best person to get you out of this league whether the football is flashy or not.

You were pleasing on the eye under RDM but had no determination or steel about you and he was sacked after 13 games, can't have it either way...

His football is (most of the time) incredibly dull so I do see that point of view, but as long as he's getting results (as he now is), he's all good by me.

Villa dominated us from start to finish and looked very good tonight, us being dogshit helped a bit with that aswell like.

Same here. I think some of the abuse he's had is shameful.

Yeah, other than a 10 minute spell between our goals (where admittedly you should have had a penalty) we looked rather comfortable throughout.

I agree. I still think we are not 100% yet which is promising.

3rd win in 4 games, 9 points clear of the drop zone now, still 6 off the play offs but given we won only 1 of our first 11 games that’s a brilliant achievement. New signings starting to get on form as well. Might get a look in this page soon!

Still want Lee Johnson sacked?
Hard to say as we don't know whether he's learnt from previous seasons yet or not, give it a few months and I'll give you an answer.

Must admit I want revenge on wolves. They beat us last season and overall took 4 points off us. That was fair enough as neither team done fuck all in the league anyway. This season they are top dogs and they embarrassed us at their place. Knowing a lot of wolves fans they are rubbing it in. Hopefully pay back at villa park and if we continue improving it would be nice to catch them up. Can't see it though.

He's in line for the villa job when Bruce gets sacked :)
He turned you down early last season by his own reckoning so I wouldn't get your hopes up :D

Our defensive injuries have well and truly fucked us

I was in a bit of a mood last night, can't do anything about it though, just hope we can rag the odd win here and there until we get a few key players back.

Hope they’re still away when you come down here. Saying that, Cunningham will probably score the winner from his ass!

Annual PNE defeat..

Yep, PNE will get one of their biannual wins over us to turn their form around.

I think if bristol city were 20 points clear with seven games left they'd all still be claiming they weren't going up and gonna lose all 7. Seem a very negative set or not very confident set of supporters

Yes, 1 or 2 very negative City posters on here, but don't tar us all with the same brush!

Nah, I'm a realist.
Said we weren't going down last season, and we aren't going up this time.

Our performances are a lot better than last year, but we still have moments of terrible football.
We were outclassed by Brentford but stole a point, dreadful against Leeds and lost to a Birmingham side who couldn't buy a win.
We can't break down overly defensive sides and were very poor against both Millwall and Burton.

We need to be playing to the higher standard more consistantly if we are to go up.

I'm enjoying the ride (especially the cup one), but think that at best this season will be a lauch for a real shot next season- none of the contracts are up at the end of this season so no real need to sell and a good season puts us well placed for recruitment, and recruitment is something we are doing well right now (on course for a 6th 20 goal striker in 5 seasons).

Edit- and ultimately there is no way we have one of the three best teams in this league.

Having watch Villa be a mainstay in the prem for such a long time, I was pleased to beat you like we did,but havent had the brass to give my good mate too much flack over it as one win doesnt cancel out the last 35 years.

Too much shite supporting this club over recent years in this division. 07/08 we threw away promotion, then afterwards all that followed with Coppell and all that bollocks, leading to lots and lots of shit managers and players and eventually being relegated. Since we've come back up we've fucked up a transfer window massively which led to our manager being sacked midway through the next window, then last season we were in a similar position to this one and look how that ended up.

Admittedly we're playing some good stuff this year, better than at any stage last season, but Lee Johnson in the past can't turn around bad runs of form after a few losses. It's so extreme with him, it's either superb or it's fucking gash. 3 losses in our last 25 atm but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost our next 4 games and that was the start of the plummet.

Gas at home and away next season if so, every cloud....

Well you'e 4th doing what you are doing a 1/3rd of the way through the season so if you do the same for the next 2/3rds you'll finish in the playoffs without a doubt. So as long as you don't get worse you're in with a very good shout.

Last season does remain in my mind, so there is some cautiousness because of that, we were 6th after 15 games last season.
But I have enough faith in this team (and LJ) to say we will do better than my preseason predicton of 14th.

You’re not a City fan. We’re not exactly a club for success so when it comes round we don’t know what the fuck to do!

I hope he takes you up just to prove sacking youre manager isn't just an automatic thing that needs doing due to a bad run.
