Nobody cares but I’ll provide an update anyway; the game against Liverpool has sold out. Fantastic effort, again, for such a great cause.

For those wanting to watch the game, Liverpool TV are streaming on their own platform Channel. They offer monthly subscription’s for, I think £7, which will allow you to watch all of their other friendlies too....if you’re interested.

Looks like one player and five coaches have turned up for training today.

Not sure if this is a Yorkshire thing but what's the obsession with attendances up there? When both Leeds and Sheff Weds were in League 1 with us we had tens of their fans registering on our forum giving us updates of how many tickets they had sold for their trip down south.

Nobody but them really gave a shit.

All proceeds go to a MND Charity, set up specifically by Stephen Darby. I thought attendance updates would be relevant because that’s where the bulk of donations source from.

Classy post, mate!

Point taken, definitely not the right post to 'have a friendly dig'. As I have said before on here I and fellow Town fans have a lot of time for Stephen Darby as he scored the winning penalty for us in the play-off semi at the Valley.

I think its superb what the MND charity is doing, and have nothing but respect for Bradford and Liverpool fans for turning out and raising money for what is an awful, awful disease.

I can only hold my hands up and offer my apologies for seeming insensitive.

I notice Swindon are playing my former side, Brimscombe this Tuesday evening 2nd July. Any Swindon fans know if this is the first team squad? I shall go anyway, beer on the terraces, you can't beat it.

I honestly couldn't be sure, but I think our first team squad will be involved.

We annihilated an entire island in our first friendly tonight.

Jersey 0 Exeter 5. Bowman x 2, Sweeney, Holmes and Seymour with the goals for the mighty Grecians.

Going up.

The reason you're at home is because there are some concerts being held at Edgeley Park this month - that's why our friendly there, scheduled for that date, has been canceled and replaced by your game.

Leaves us still with only two friendlies against Cheadle and Congleton. Now that we've got into July without more being announced I'm assuming the rest will be secret behind closed doors matches.

Well Stockport’s around the corner so would have been much more suitable for me!

Wonder if it’ll be free! With hull forest and Blackburn all before they’ll be about 50 there!

Can't make it but I expect a thorough match report from yourself.

Kicking off the season with our annual knees up at Sileby Rangers on Saturday. Can’t wait. 3 minute walk from my house and get to drink in my local before kick off. Superb.

We start at Kidsgrove on Saturday, don’t generally go friendlies but it’s tied in with their beer festival so should be a good day.

We start at home to Hibs next Tuesday.

The game however is in doubt due to insufficient number of players. A decision will be made the day before.

I’m randomly going to Nantwich vs Crewe on Saturday as a good mate supports Nantwich.

I was in enticed in by the idea of being able to drink beer while watching it

Not sure you can drink whilst watching the game at Nantwich to be honest. Always like the game at Nantwich though, usually a decent crowd, Nantwich has lots of decent pubs and my wife's family all support them so usually some good banter at the game.

Normally can, I occasionally go if we’ve got someone undesirable away down south like a Colchester Newport Crawley etc, it’s a good day out.

Should be able to drink though, you usually can - should you wish to

Brimscombe 0 - 6 Swindon

Just a friendly workout. Swindon 2 up after 6 minutes, after which the enthusiasm unsurprisingly dropped off.

Two halves and two different 11's for Swindon. I don't know too many Swindon regulars, but Doughty started first half a long with Anderson & Woolery up front, both looked sharp for 15 minutes. 2nd half side played better for Swindon. Looked like a fair few academy players. Attendance about 350-400 mostly from Swindon. A good natured crowd, just blowing the cobwebs off no doubt, and consuming lots of Burgers in this meat eating enclave of Stroud.

Brimscombe will look to finish one place higher (runners-up in the Hellenic Prem last season) which would get them into the Southern league.

The meadow a nice venue to start pre-season for sure.

Brimscombe play our academy side Friday, followed by Gloucester City next Tuesday.

Thanks for the report.

FWIW, the first half team was more or less what our current first XI is, and the second half was 9 triallists and 2 fringe players.

Glad you enjoyed your evening.

Kidsgrove Athletic this Saturday, and should be a few trialists on view. I'm out of the country unfortunately.

We've just announced a friendly up at Hartlepool. Sounds like an unnecessarily expensive trip given our current situation.

As an exiled Macc fan living in Hartlepool I’m pleased with this game

We play our first friendly on the 13th at Swindon Supermarine. Didn't realise this but with the season starting so early that means our first friendly will take place just 3 weeks before the season starts.
