We've pre-empted the inevitable cancellation of our match at Southend next Saturday and called it off ourselves. We're away to Wealdstone instead.

Drew 1-1 with some English club in a foreign land this morning. Another game without a win for big spending boss Paul Hurst
He's said it.

Not me.

Tbf they sound like a works team, rather then a team representing the town. Might make it harder to attract locals?
They have a decent set-up there and suspect a few locals will have been there, if not necessarily fpr football.

Yeah and at one point most of the Port had worked at Vauxhalls so doubt it sounding like a works team would put anyone off. For some reason I thought they'd gone bust not voluntarily downsized so good to hear they are still about. Good little team in a town that needs something to get behind.

Poor result for Donny only drawing with a National League North team.

Better than Crawley getting stuffed 9-1 and Newport 8-0
Shows what little us fans know.

After the game Lindsey said there was no cause for concern .:pond:

If (big if) what he says about the 2x60 minute games is true then the only concern is our back up players are nowhere hear good enough for league football.

First game, their strong side v our strong side Pompey won 2-1. Second game our back up side and trialists lost 7-0! He apparently told some of the players the will not get playing for us.

I look at our team and think we have big holes that need filling. But then, I look at the side and see relegation unless some of the untried youngsters come good.

We drew 1-1 at home to an Everton XI mostly comprising youngsters, but including a few players with first team experience such as Holgate and Warrington.

We played very well in my opinion and looked sharp, the one weakness being in the eighteen yard box with Dennis and Norris still out injured.

The two defenders we signed this week, Yarney and Leake, looked solid.

Of course. It's just weird to see, like an alternate reality to what we are used to.

One nil down after 3 minutes...
maybe the biggest crowd you ever played against...The loudest crowd and a team that destroyed Wrexham way back when was Bolton 1986

Do you really want a defender called ‘Leake’?

Lost 2-1 to Lincoln in the end, after going ahead. Not concerned by the result or performance, but we are missing a few players from the squad, which is the bigger worry.

Drew 1-1 with Rochdale last night. They look a real tidy side. We weren't at our best, still need a few more forward thinking players.

We had James Chester trialling with us today apparently. Came on as a second half sub.
