A little premature for this but since all of our business has been done may aswell start this off. We've had an outstanding transfer window, bringing in a total of 13 players, most of them being improvements in what we already have.

Ikeme

Iorfa - Batth - Stearman - Silvio

Oniangue - Saiss

Mason - Cavalerio - Teixeira

Bodvarsson
Loneragan
Hause
Doherty
Coady
Wallace
Costa
Gladon

Predicted finish: 5th

Decent window for us, shame to lose some key players like Button and Bidwell, but we had to sell them with less than 12 months on their contracts, and we've brought in some top quality young players!

Squad looks healthy, though one more attacker / winger would have made us much stronger. Below is our strongest team now, an awful lot of youth and potential in this line up!

Bentley
Colin - Egan - Bjelland - Henry
Woods - Macleod
Sawyers - Judge - Kaikai
Hogan

Bonham
Elder
Dean
Yennaris
McEachran
Kerschbaummer
Vibe

Unfortunately due to injury, we won't be seeing Judge or Henry till after Christmas. Yennaris, Dean and Elder will probably play a lot of minutes before then.

We've made a lot of good signings, but they're gonna take a bit to gel imo...

Gollini
De Laet Chester Elphick Cissokho
Tshibola Jedinak
Adomah McCormack Grealish
Kodjia

Bunn
Bacuna
Ayew
Gestede
Amavi
Gardner
Baker

Prediction: 8th. We won't go up this season, but keeping the squad together and making a couple of additions in Jan/next summer and we should be looking at automatics next season.

Twelve new players and the closest thing to a balanced squad we've had in about a decade. We've managed to sell a lot of expensive rubbish. The only role we're not that strong in is wingers. Don't think I've missed anyone out...

Keepers:
Sels
Elliot
Darlow
Woodman

Defenders:
Clark
Mbemba
Hanley
Lascelles
Haidara
Dummet
Lazaar
Yedlin
Gamez

Midfielders:
Colback
Anita
Shelvey
Hayden
Diame
Tiote
Ritchie
Aarons
Gouffran
Atsu

Forwards:
Gayle
Mitrogol
Perez
Murphy

Prediction: Promotion. Anything short of that will be a big failure. Defence seems relatively solid, Hayden looks class, Ritchie is a very good signing, Diame is an upgrade on Sissoko, Gayle will score goals and our back four doesn't contain Coloccini, Taylor or wannabe winger Janmaat. Colback being demoted to a rotation spot is a great sign too. If we can shift Tiote before the rest of the windows shut I'll be over the moon with our business.

Come on now mate, Sissoko started in a final of the European Championships not even two months ago and has just joined one of England's heavyweights for £30m.

And Eder scored the winning goal in that final, he's shit too.

Diame can successfully pass a football to its intended target and actually tries, so as far as I'm concerned he's an upgrade. The technical side of Diame's game is way above Sissoko's. You can only go off what you see, and I've seen him fail to do the basics, mope around and stink the place up for 3 years straight. 4 hyped games out of ~150 isn't going to suddenly change my opinion, though obviously I'm thankful it drove his price up to comical levels.

I've said before, there's potentially a player in there somewhere, but I certainly haven't seen him. Perhaps if he's given a box to box role, or a role less reliant on having good technique with the ball, he'll show some improvements.

Goalkeepers-
Kieren Westwood
Joe Wildsmith
Jake Kean
Cameron Dawson

Defenders-
Jack Hunt
Liam Palmer
Tom Lees
Sam Hutchinson
Glenn Loovens
Vincent Sasso
Daniel Pudil
Jeremy Helan

Midfielders-
Ross Wallace
Marco Matias
Adam Reach

Kieran Lee
Almen Abdi
Barry Bannan
David Jones
Jose Semedo
Felipe Melo
Lewis Mgugan

Forwards-
Steven Fletcher
Gary Hooper
Fernando Forestieri
Lucas Joao
Adthe Nuhiu
Sergiu Bus

Squad looks very strong, only thing I'd say we're lacking is another left back as Jeremy Helan has never been a footballer. Should be looking at another top 6 finish.

Not a bad window for us i guess,

Brought in:

Adam Reach
Jake Kean
Vincent Sasso
Daniel Pudil
Will Buckley
Almen Adbi
David Jones
Steven Fletcher

I guess we'll go with:

Westwood

Hunt :hb: Lees Hutchinson Pudil

Lee Jones Abdi Reach

Forestieri Fletcher

Wildsmith
Loovens
Wallace
Bannan
Hooper
Joao
Nuhiu

Really hard to predict our team tbh, we have alot of central midfielders that could play for most sides in the league and i don't know how we can accommodate them all. Based on what I've seen so far this season it's Bannan who would be making way for me but only time will tell

I thought Bannan was your most dangerous / creative player against us, though we did give him a ridiculous amount of space!

It's better than last season's, but we're short up front and at centre half if Ekstrand doesn't sign. If this Engvall isn't any good (his goal scoring record in Sweden is distinctly average) then we're left with him and a 37 year old if Tammy gets crocked, which he is currently.

In the end we brought in:

Bentley (tribunal)
Egan (tribunal)
Henry (£1.5m, rising to £5m)
Elder (loan)
Sawyers (free)
Kaikai (loan)

Likely Total: £2.5-3m this season

And we let go:

Button (£1.5m)
Bidwell (£1.5-2m)
O'Connell (£600k)
Swift (end of loan)
Canos (end of loan)
Tebar (free)
Williams (free)
Gogia (loan)
Djuricin (end of loan)
Rodriguez (end of loan)

Likely Total: £4-4.5m

It's a decent window for us, especially when you factor in the extra money from the sell on for Mawson, which will potentially become £2m. Another striker and a permanent winger and I would call it a great window.

Glad you've put Egan in your strongest line up. Pre-season most Brentford fans were suggesting he'd be a back up to Dean, and didn't like it when it was suggested that Egan is a far better player!

Not sure that's how I'll start. More Paterson on the right, O'dowda on the left and Tomlin in the middle. That said, Tomlin not had much of an impact as of yet there.
I said I fancy us this year, nothing that happened ( or didn't happen) yesterday has changed my view. We are a striker short but should cope until Jan.

Been very surprised by him! Thought he'd be good, but he's been brilliant so far. Lots of last ditch tackles and he's won pretty much every header that's come his way.
Dean is very good too, and is in possession of the other shirt at the moment. Bjelland will come in at some point, on paper our best player by some distance, Egan nudges out Dean for the other spot in the strongest XI team purely for his threat at the other end. We look so much better from set pieces this year, mainly down to Egan and Macleod.

Yeah he's good for half a dozen goals a season at least which is pretty decent for a centre back. All aspects of his game just look effortless, which is why I hope to God that we end up securing a sell on fee as part of the tribunal. If you got up to £6 million for Tarkowski, Egan will go for similar or more IMO.

Our team will look something like:

Bialkowski
Chambers - Webster - Berra - Knudsen
Bishop - Skuse - Grant
Ward - Pitman - Sears

Subs:
Gerken
Emmanuel
Smith
Bru
Douglas
Lawrence
Best

Plus Williams and McGoldrick to fit in somewhere when they're back from injury. I honestly don't remember the last time it was this hard to pick the team because there were too many players to fit in.

At a guess, though I imagine Al-Habsi/Jaakkola, Obita/Blackett, Evans/Swift/Williams, Beerens/Harriott/Meite will swap around regularly between themselves as first choice.

Prediction: 15th

Yeah he can be and I think we'll rotate depending on who we're playing. For me, Kieron Lee has to play every game, he does the stuff that goes unnoticed and really keeps us ticking over. Also despite going under the radar he scores and assists more than bannan in general. Against more physical teams we'll need abit more strength in there and abit of know how, Jones should add that. Then it's one of bannan and abdi for the final spot unless we play all 4 and have no wingers like we have done but I think we're trying to move away from doing that

I'm concerned.

Goalkeepers - Scott Carson, Jonathan Mitchell & Chris Weale

Defenders - Cyrus Christie, Richard Keogh, Jason Shackell, Marcus Olsson, Farrand Rawson, Jamie Hanson, Alex Pearce, Max Lowe, Chris Baird & Craig Forsyth*

Midfielders/Wingers - Ikechi Anya, Will Hughes, George Thorne, Craig Bryson, Tom Ince, Jacob Butterfield, Bradley Johnson, Johnny Russell, Andreas Weimann & Timi Elsnik

Strikers - Matej Vydra, Darren Bent, Nick Blackman & James WIlson.

*out for the season.

Carson
Christie Keogh Shackell Olsson
Thorne Bryson
Ince Hughes Anya
Vydra

It's been a poor summer for us - incredibly poor. I'd be surprised if we were able to finish inside the top half, perhaps somewhere between 14th-17th for us.

The way Pearson wants to play and the loss of Martin will hit us hard.

That Derby squad is more than good enough to finish comfortably top half. Got to consider it a failure if it doesn't IMO. Maybe strength in depth at the back a bit of a concern but the midfielders are good and although getting shot of Martin seems odd, it's still not a bad front line.

Apart from losing Mawson (which was inevitable) it's been the best transfer window I can remember for some time. So many options up top!
With Moncur going out on loan we look lighter in midfield but Yiadom and a young lad Callum Evans can play there.
We coped well at the back without Mawson on Saturday but I hope Adam Jackson fits in well and gets stuck in straight away.
