Has dodgy Mark Cooper done his customary runner yet? He's already approaching his average tenure in charge of a club.

I hear a Tranmere fan made a right twat of himself today

Ran on the pitch dressed as a hot dog celebrating & ended up getting arrested in the process.......now his buddies are moaning he could get a stadium ban

If he is banned from bromley next season i dont think it will matter #optomistic

I don't think we even played well today but still should have scored 5 or 6.

Our support was strangely poor today, despite taking good numbers (407). We hardly got a song going all day.

I have been out all day so can't quite make out from reading the Imps posts and the odd Woking one if we played well or not. Was it that Woking were truly shit or a bit of both? Just been on the Cards forum and they seem to be suggesting they felt we were long ball and physical without looking that great. Some Woking fans even thought they would go on to win when they equalised at 1-1, anyone who was there able to comment?

Am just relieved to get 3 pts at a place we always struggle and we could have had one player already on a hat trick if Rheady hadn't missed (another) penalty.

Woking had a 5/10-minute spell at the end of the first half and a 10/15-minute spell at the start of the second half. Aside that from they were very poor. They couldn't deal with our long throws, free kicks and corners and our first goal just came from a long punt up to Rhead from Farman. So yeah, we were long ball but it would have been stupid not to given their ineptness at the back. Second half we pressed and countered from the front a lot more.

We played well to be fair but there's still a lot to work on. Waterfall, McCombe and Beevers especially struggled at times.

I don't think my blood pressure has returned back to normal yet.. that was nervy near the end! First half not much happened really although we did have a Harrad goal ruled offside which looked harsh and Newton did an incredible headed clearance off the line. Second half we started better and used the wings more, but then faded again. Powell and Bakare changed the game a bit as they stretched the Dover defence more and were a bit more direct. They hit the bar with a cracking volley and Dunn made an excellent low save late on. They are ridiculously physical Dover and every chance they got they were grabbing shirts. Richard Orlu's job was to basically shadow Tyler Harvey and do nothing else, Harvey impressed me though, well up for the battle. Other impressive performers were Dunn (looks the best keeper we've had for a while), MOTM Bencherif (Absolutely rock solid and confident on the ball) & Powell (Very lively and energetic when he came on). Personally I wouldn't have played Harrad from the start as he didn't look to have match sharpness which is understandable given the amount of pre season he had. Probably lucky in the end but I would have been happy with a point anyway against such a tough opposition.

We'll STORM this league to mid-table once DSY and Yakubu are back. A result against Moneybags Lincoln is irrelevant to where we're at.

Not seen todays scores how many did fgr win by 7? 8? 9?

Can someone please send out a search party for Chris FGR? Arm yourself with some Prozac too?

I'm getting worried here.

I hear Chris is still at the BW ground with his torch on patiently waiting for the FGR goal machine to score the 5 or 6 expected goals.

Easy 3-0, very impressed with what I saw defensively but we didn't look like anything special going forward. However we scored 3 so I'm not going to complain
Two of those complete gifts from us.

Disappointed to lose that, we were poor in the second half but couldn't for the life of me see any goals coming from either side.

Rhys Murphy now only has 45 games to get to 60 goals. Not sure it can be done.

Just home from Barrow. First half we were second best (1-0 was probably a fair result at half time), although that was in part down to Will Evans having a shocker and Barrow taking advantage of that. Would like to see their goal again as although Evans lost the ball it seemed like their goalscorer got in a bit easily at the far post.

Waddock made an excellent tactical change at half time, bringing Rendell on for Evans and pushing Reynolds back alongside Saville. 4-4-2 seemed to suit us better than 4-3-3 did first half and we got back into the game. How we didn't score in the second half i'll never know. Based on the chances we created 2nd half it could be argued that we deserved a point but, even though this sounds harsh (could be i'm tired and frustrated after a 19 hour day), we deserved nothing purely for our dreadful finishing in front of goal. Fenelon stumbling over the ball 6 yards out in front of an open goal after their goalkeeper dropped a clanger in the 93rd minute sums it up - I doubt any team in this division will miss an easier chance than that all season!

Despite our good play in the 2nd half, Jake Cole did keep us in the game with a magnificent triple save after about 60 minutes.

Overall the performance wasn't too bad but as Waddock said in his interview it wasn't good enough because we lost. That said, it was a nice touch for him to come on the supporters coach while we were stopped at the services to thank us for our support (the team coach arrived as we were about to leave).

Anyway, onto Maidstone on Tuesday where hopefully our forwards will have their shooting boots on!

I'll agree with what SF93 said above, I though we were well worth a point, a fact not lost on the match sponsor who gave MotM to the Barrow CB, and the fact that second half Williams, who was Barrow's main threat first half, had to sit 10 yards infront of his fullback for all the second half because he was getting battered.

Barrow have some decent players if they would only play the ball on the floor, but I'm guessing they didn't today because the pitch doesn't quite look ready with loads of sand being kicked up. Water the fucking thing boys, it will help! Byron Harrison will bully a lot of defences this year, but fortunately once we swapped to 4-4-2, Callum Reynolds stuck him in his back pocket, and that's where he stayed. We, on the other hand, will play a lot worse and win games this year.

Overall, another good day out at a really friendly club, bar two moans. First, the ref. We had loads of fans stuck on the M6 because of two accidents, when we asked for a delay to the kick off, he said no, rules are rules and get on with it. Ok if it is a local game with an away club from just around the corner, but it was a 650 mile tound trip to watch about 50 minutes football for about 75 of our fans. Use some common sense you c***!

Second, and I'm sure some Barrow fans will agree because they suffered too, the shocking organisation in the away end when they didn't have enough staff to open the away turnstile, meaning about about 400 fans had to go through one turnstile resulting in a half hour queue and loads of fans, home and away, missing the first 15 minutes. Very poor.

After that tawdry shower we've been subject to for the past two years at home under Burnett, today was a complete breath of fresh air.

We looked organised with a game plan and our bite up top was menacing. As mentioned, 5 or 6 wouldn't have flattered us this afternoon. Guttridge, Maguire-Drew and Okenabirhie all excellent. First time I've come away smiling from Victoria Road in a very long time.

We'll come up against better teams than Southport with all due respect, but they were very poor.

Didn't know that about the ref or the fans being stuck queuing outside - that's pretty shocking, and needs sorting. A lot of off-pitch issues seemed to arise yesterday, and that needs to be the focus of some serious work before the next home game.

Have to disagree about Williams - I was down in his corner of the pitch for the second half and he must've skinned Alexander 4/5 times to get into the box and put in a cross. Got hauled down for what seemed like it could've been a penalty too.

Couldn't make out the Fenelon miss/falling on his arse at the end, but we gave too many clear cut chances away. To be fair, Harrison and Hannah both missed one-on-ones that should've seen us well out of sight. Didn't think much of any of your back four, to be totally honest, and it seemed like they were panicking a lot and getting caught out of position. Still, better than most sides that visited last season (except Aldershot, strangely, who destroyed us last time out) and definitely candidates for a top-half finish.

At least getting a point against a team who beat us at home last year and finished third has given the usual doom and gloom brigade on our forum the chance to wheel out the usual sentiments. Apparently we are going to get relegated and should sack Mills now.

It wasn't a great performance but you'd think we lost at Boreham Wood reading some of the comments.

Quite surprised at Gateshead's attendance yesterday - 730 home fans with no Newcastle or South Shields at home (South Shields regularly pull in crowds of 1,000+)

The owners will want to hope that Aspin can put them on a play-off charge this season, because if not they'll struggle to pull in decent numbers.

You were a good team, nothing overly impressive though, and we were utter dog shit. Every throw of yours got launched in to the box same as free kicks, looking for the big bloke up front, it worked though. I never once thought we'd go on and win it, our goal was somehow scrambled in and other than a couple of half chances we created nothing. Can't blame Rhead for the penalty miss it was a cracking save, a bit embarrassing that a few of our youngsters celebrated that miss like a world cup final goal, even though we were already 3-1 down with 10 minutes left!!

Maguire-Drew in particular is going to be something special. 18 and from Brighton. He'll play at a high level.
Have big hopes for that boy. He's got a sweet, sweet left foot as I'm sure you'll come to witness. Was sort of hoping we might loan him out to a FL club but I'm sure he'll still learn plenty at Dagenham. Look after him, cheers.

They only reacted like that because Rhead delibrately celebrated in front of them after his first pen.

A fair bit of time wasting from Lincoln yesterday (two booked for it) which seemed a bit unnecessary as they were far the better side and looked more likely to extend their lead than we did of getting back in to it.

Decent travelling support of 400+ too.
