This is why have to get out of this league. Shitty non league teams parking the bus because they can't really compete. 5 at the back spoilers. Fortunately today football won.
Well yeah it is indeed difficult to compete with clubs chucking six figure fees around. Good luck, hopefully you go up with Wrexham or Stockport.

1400 in the away end. Imagine being top and not even getting close to selling out a trip that close.

Southend were alright first half, gave it a go and Dalby/Murphy were a threat. For some reason they came out after the break and clearly decided they were parking everyone in front of the goal and trying to hold on, which I never think is a good approach against us.

One of our messiest performances of the season tbh, we’re usually tidy in possession even when we don’t play well but we made all sorts of basic mistakes today. It was sprinkled with occasional brilliance though, the move for our second goal was superb.

Rodrigues getting himself suspended for Ches is a big blow, but does set up the Kairo narrative arc.

So everyone won then? Fantastic. Least there's a 4 point cushion for us in the play offs now and we can go 2nd on Tuesday if we win.

Mate who supports Chesterfield is in hospital after being attacked by 10 Grimsby fans with pool cues and bricks. He is thankfully ok but he has a fractured elbow. Its apparently proper kicking off on the pier
TractorBoys Leewilson As this clown has already been banned twice before as Lance Stoe and then Scunny Pacifist surely he needs getting rid of again for as you can see he’s already back spouting absolute bullshit, I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that this shite never happened, boring as fuck the sad bastard.

He's not wrong though. Port Vale and Grimsby are about as welcoming as downtown Mosul. Always a horrible atmosphere from the peasants that habit these shitholes.
Shouldn’t you be choad-deep in furlough documents atm? You’ve certainly perked up.

No doubt you’ll still back him to the end of the earth

Main thing he has done wrong this season is not seen a decent striker. Our recent form is obviously more than just bad tactics, seems a massive coincidence it started the game after Sears (who was rumoured to have 3 or 4 other players in the car with him) was caught drink driving at 4am in the morning. Obviously injuries to key players hasn't helped either but that again is down to having not good enough replacements.

Tickets were sold out on our website I believe. 60 odd fans were turned away from Grimsby by Humberside Police for some reason.

We sold every ticket made available so nice try but like most Grimsby efforts it came up a bit short and left people unsatisfied.

Hurst said at numerous points he was happy with his options up front when we only had Taylor and LJL.

Stockwood has always said the money is there if we need it, Hurst is just too stubborn.

He’s had his time at this club IMO, his record here, Scunny and Ipswich over the past few years must be as bad as any manager in a job right now.

Guessing the 200 or so Chesterfield fans that didn't show up all got hospitalised by hoards of marauding Grimsby thugs then.

Appalling officiating but not one shot on target in the second half and only one all game is really damning.

You doth protest too much, chuck. Unfortunately Grimsby have a bit of a track record, which is why your numbers are capped for your cup final at The Shay on Boxing Day. You turned our town centre into a war zone last time you came here. You denied doing that too but the cops have it on record.

Hurst has to go, recruited a paper thin squad which falls apart as soon as one or two key players get injured or suspended. Uninspired like for like subs like bringing on the abject LJL to run around to no effect for yet another match about 5 minutes before Tshimanga finally turned up to score a tap in sums him up. Doesn't have a clue how to turn our form around, completely out of his depth. Had enough of him now.

How dare you accuse me of pretending to be something I am not? Then you have the gall to accuse me of making something like that. You are psychopathic. I am so glad Chesterfield tanned your asses today. That wins for you Denzel. Set upon by ten rabid animals who represent the cesspit that is Grimsby

Wrexham should beat these surely.

Well done to the 15 or so Weymouth fans who have made the trip.

Just releived the dirty Mariners lost again. Hopefully they go down again. I was attacked there last season as well. But since I am a big boy there was no worries

Is that the best you've got? Genuinely pathetic "burn", much like everything Grimsby. You've already been told loads of Chesterfield fans were refused entry and sent home.

Keep em coming lad, your tears are delicious.

Bet the police domestic violence teams will be busy in Cleethorpes tonight.

Important win that today, especially with the results elsewhere. I couldn't get but was obviously keeping a close eye on the score whilst I was out. As the game went on and on it had the feel of a sucker punch loss about it, 89th minute set piece finding the net or something. So glad it went our way. Didn't appear to be a vintage performance but I'll take the previous 3pt any day.

Was about time we gave Eastleigh a thrashing - great second half performance once Agyepong came on and changed it for us.

Good to see Andrews finally find his shooting boots after 3 months without a goal.

13 points from 15 now after 7 straight defeats - it's been an odd season but there's hope we might be able to stay up now
