Established club. Hoping we can catch the imagination of a few of our trophy numbers. Little snippet of our potential getting that many, possibly.

No idea. Very few, if any. Our attendances remained steady after Old Wembley and jumped by 500 or so after New Wembley but I suspect that had more to do with Becchetti and people coming to see the circus. Our average attendances have been solidly between the 4-5k mark for the past 30 years.

Love your new avatar.

Good luck to all our brother Great and Historic Football League Clubs involved in the National League and National League North play off games this evening. :bdick:

Either of these teams going to turn up tonight? They're playing like a couple of mid-table sides with nothing to play for.

That was hardly reminiscent of his winning penalty for Wimbledon v Luton was it.

I think he was fucked just running up to that then, he was blowing out of his arse even in the warmup.

Is this what these new playoffs are going to be like then?

Boring shithousing and scared to go forward with every match going to pens. We’d have excelled in these playoffs FFS.

Literally may as well call it a draw and let Tranmere have a bye to the final - whoever wins this one will lose Sat.

But they're called "THE ELIMINATORS" so must be exciting.

We've run out of ideas and Ebbs fleet don't want to attack. This is going to pens.

Was gonna say this. Especially with Tranmere having a week off.

And VANARAMA ELIMINATOR sounds way too yank.

What do you mean it's 0-0 with 5 mins left until extra time with the winning team only having 2 days to prepare for another match 250 miles away... How annoying...

Christ, even the Deniers surely can’t say the quality is the same as previous seasons? It started going downhill when Halifax got to the playoffs and I think we’ve hit a new low.

Well, obviously the quality is going to be lower when a 6th place team is involved.

But whatever, bet you're glad to have escaped this. :)

Ah great, looking like penalties, everyone loves those (except fans of the teams involved)...

Yep, but it gives me the idea that an organised team with a goalscorer could do well should they be relegated.

That arrogant bell Waddock thoroughly deserved that for laughing and joking about thinking it was all over when Ebbsfleet missed their first few.

So very happy Ebbsfleet won that shootout following Waddock's celebration at 3-1 up. Don't give it until you've won!

Well that was entertaining, Aldershot keeper pulled off some great saves and suddenly thinks he’s an out field player. Stay in your goals you silly sod

Talking about turning the form book on its head, if Braintree win their tie, that will mean Hampton will be the only National League team tonight to win at home.

So much for a "superior" team making home advantage count...

Have been told (not full details) that Connor Jennings potentially has something very severe but not meningitis, no clues as to what, but not going to pry as they don’t want it public (yet?)..

Extra drive for the players and I hope he’s in condition to join any celebrations if they happen. Terrific hard working player that is somewhat an unsung hero in our team and makes it tick.

Very easy for a non league player to get a contract with us and play at 80%, but he gives his all every game. Got shown stats from Aldershot league game last year where he ran 14km + in the game which is beyond that of even most Champions League players.

Horrible news. Whatever it is I hope he makes a full recovery. Big fan of Connors.

Wow. Tranmere v Ebbsfleet it is. Ebbsfleet have played weekend/midweek the last 3 weeks I think. Last 8 days they've had Gateshead away, Torquay away, Aldershot away, Extra time, Pens, and now 60 hours to prepare for the semi final...

That's Ebbsfleet in the final then.

They've done amazingly well for a newly promoted side still part-time (correct me if I'm wrong). But I'd be even more amazed if they managed to sustain this level of fitness and results.

Interestingly, their only defeats since January have been against Sutton and...I don't need to remind you of the other!
